I stayed here for business for two nights. The cabins are truly amazing, special and every detail is hand made! You get the lodge feeling when you enter. The food is home made and absolutely authentic and tastes amazing. The hosts Sven and Crystal do everything to make you feel welcome and appreciated. I highly recommend to stay at Engholm... More

The lodges have been hand made by the owner and are amazing. Wooden built and decorated, the atmosphere is cozy and brings peace of mind. If you choose to go for home cooked meals, it's well worth the price. Should you go there in summer you can get the chance to meet the puppy sled dogs. Fun if you travel... More

Sven Engholm has created a truly unique lodge in the wilderness outside Karasjok! The place merits a tour in itself! On top of that, Sven and his staff offers a unique dog sledding experience throughout the wilderness of Finnmark. Everything is done in a delicate and competent manner. Sven has, himself built every part of his lodge with a respectfull... More

The atmosphere of this place is like none other. Although we only had one night lodging, we truly enjoyed our experience and it is one of our vacation highlights. Our Cabin was the newest and had running water and toilet. The other cabin which we had didn't have these amenities but was also absolutely wonderful. The owner, Sven, and his... More

This accommodation was presented by the travel agency only mentioning it as a nice place. We were staying in one of the newest lodges, build underground, with one big window wall. Great place, with everywhere special tricks made by the owner (who has decorated the whole inside). lodges with window wall have a great feeling, being in the wood. Nice... More

Staying at Engholm is a wonderful experience. Our private cabin was a cosy, pristine haven full of handmade items for our every need. The hosts Sven & Christel were always cheerful, welcoming and friendly and cooked delicious hearty meals to be enjoyed in the group dining room with good company (though you can self-cater if you prefer). A husky sled... More

A friend and I did a 7 days tour last week that was supposed to be a "no touristy" trip, called "Round trip in Sameland". The first 4 days we were together with a 6 people group doing the 4 days "Husky Safari" tour. Overall we were 8 people plus the guides, wich made a too large group. That made... More

Be prepared for a lifetime experience. We had absolutely no experience either skiing, snowboarding or god forbid dog sledding! But a Marcel and Kristal were just awesome, giving us gentle guidance and above all confidence. The first 10 minutes was horrendous, three crashes, no injuries and the dogs just looked at us and said bloody Australians. But we did it,... More

I stayed at the Lodge over Christmas, 2014. I have come away wondering how I will ever be able to recapture the magic and pure bliss that the experience of the Husky Lodge gave me. My cabin was so cozy and warm and is now in my mind as my go to "Happy Place" when i am struggling with the... More

Raindeer rugs, husky dogs, feather lampshades, ....puppy training, poop scoop, doggie hugs .....great food in unique dishes, getting to meet Sven and Christal, beautifully decorated cabins. We were overwhelmed when we walked into our cottage/cabin. It took us ages to see everything and to remark on how special everything was...including heated floors. We loved every minute and look forward to... More
