We stayed here for one night after visting Terre de Sel. We were very impressed by the old house and how well maintained it is. Our room was clean, full of charming details (modern and old: from complementary wine, tea, coffee, biscuits to a claw-tooth bathtub and marble fireplace -non working, but still adds to the charm). Walking around the... More

La Guerandiere is one of "those" places which can only be described as "bijou". The town, Guerande, is a picturebook , mainly intact, ancient moated and walled town in Brittany, famous for its delicious sea salt panning industry. La Guerandiere is a 19th c. house, with lovely, peaceful flower-filled garden, set just inside the gates of the walls, a 3-minute... More

We stayed in chambre jaune which is advertised as a triple (double plus child's bed). It's at the top of the house, in the attic, on the second floor. The property is very old and has a lovely wooden staircase with lots of objects and knick knacks perched along the way and unique pieces of furniture throughout which compliments and... More

This chambre d'hotes is ideally situated just within the walls of the historic village of Guerande. It's a large old house with a gated courtyard which serves as a secure car park. The house is tastefully adorned with very French antiques and "knick knacks". A few of these artefacts have been placed on the stairs leading up to the rooms... More

We stayed one night at this hotel. the whole atmosphere was wonderful. The attention to detail was astonishing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast a delight. Particularly liked the conservatory and the garden was quiet and peaceful. Right in the centre of the Medeavil city.

This is a beautifully decorated chambre d'hote in an amazing house. The people there (Valerie, her mother et al) were very hospitable, a credit to Brittany and the phenomenon 'B&B'. We stayed at the 'blue room' on the first floor, I can't wait to book again next year and try another colour to see what that one's like.. :)

This is one of the most beautiful hotels in France. We stayed in the grey room at the top of the house. There was tea and coffee and sherry in the room. The decor was amazing. The downstairs sitting room is very comfortable also with sherry and tea and coffee available. Breakfast was 10 euro,s and well worth it with... More

My husband and I stayed in La Guérande in Aug 2011 (not in feb 2012, I did not have an option to choose the right date) in Valerie's apartment - this review was long time coming... :-) The apartment is about 2 minutes away from the B&B right in the heart of the medieval town, perfect and beautiful location. We... More

Old mansion with individually and very creatively designed rooms. The design is sort of old landlord chic, very french. There's a beautiful salon with books on the wall and an extremely pretty wintergarden glasshouse, where a tasty breakfast is served (incl. homemade cake). The house is filled with decorative objects, for instance small lanterns on every step of the stairs.... More
