On my recent trip on the Camino Frances through Castile-Leon Spain and Galicia, my friends and I decided to spend the night at the Gaudi Hotel in Astorga. The hotel is directly across from the Gaudi Palace, currently undergoing restoration and the Cathedral. It was a clean hotel, with comfortable beds. Very spacious rooms and European bathrooms, meaning bidet in... More

We had a room with a beautiful view across the street of the two cathedrals. The cathedral clock did chime every 15 minutes until about midnight, but I didn't mind that. The bathroom was clean yet small, and the room was fine, although not at all luxurious. Comfortable stay in which to begin the Camino!

This is a nice hotel and our room faced the front so we had a lovely view of the Palace and the Cathedral (though the clock chimed every 15 min until 11pm). When we arrived we had a wait a while for someone to arrive to check us in. Free wifi.

Astorga was a pleasant surprise and this town offers many good choices of accommodations. Although not my first choice, it proved to be comfortable, clean and conveniently located right on the Camino de Santiago. Clean and quiet will assure a good night's sleep. The town is worth lingering In for half a day. Best outdoor store on the entire Camino.

Clean hotel with great staff (some english speaking) and gorgeous Gaudi decor. It has an amazing view of the Gaudi palace, and is located on route for the Camino de Santiago. Hotel includes bar, restaurant and outside garden area for relaxing. Beds were comfortable and the fun decor made for a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay.

This hotel is in a beautiful location, the food was good, the room we had was very comfortable, all the bathroom fitments worked well but what was outstanding was the service we received. The kindness and willingness of the staff made our stay there extremely enjoyable. We heartily recommend this hotel.

This is a traditional hotel just in front of the Gaudi Palace in Astorga and next to the Cathedral. Restaurant and bar also good. Wi-fee on the slow side. We had a room at the front and you may want to know that the churchbells are quite loud. I think they startet at 8 in the morning.

Great location in town opened our room window looking out on Gaudi and Cathedral. Location on Camino and central to everything . Hotel easy to find room large . Few things windows are not double glazed so we heard noise from the Rubbish truck at 6am and walkers chatting as they took off. Seemed to be lots of noise from... More

We stayed an extra night to enjoy all that Astorga has to offer. Great location within walking distance of all the sites. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was not overlooking the square and was extremely quiet and comfortable. While is Astorga be sure to go behind the Bishop's Palace and see the Roman Wall. It is... More

We stayed here while on the Camino. The location and views from the front can't be beat: we had spectacular views of the Gaudi palace and cathedral and were delighted. The rooms are big and light. Staff were extremely helpful in the evening, and we had great dinner service for an excellent meal in their upscale dining room. Unfortunately, we... More
