Located directly on the plaza very close to the famous clock which chimes every hour - twice! Had an attic room which may have compounded the problem? Our room was huge with a huge bathroom but very little personality. Needs an update on furniture and fittings. Lovely staff with great English and lovely sense of humor improved our stay. Had...

Hotel is located in the main plaza but we could not hear any noise in our room. Could hear other guests though as they said goodbye or prepared to walk the camino. Room was average size, clean, with an ok bathroom. Breakfast was basic. Female staff member spoke good English, others basic, and all staff were very friendly. Overall our...

Located on a main plaza, this hotel offers a nice place to stay on the Camino in Astorga. The room was a bit dated, but comfortable. Wifi was good, and the shower was nice and hot. There was a breakfast buffet included in my rate, but it was only so-so.

Had the peligrino (pilgrim) dinner. Salad and sliced cold meat selection as primary course followed by pork loin cutlet with fries as second course. Had flan for dessert. Include a bottle of local red wine. Very good meat in very pleasant atmosphere.

Ready for a some comfort after a 32 km day on the Camino. The staff was exceptionally helpful with some special requests. Super bed and although my room was right on the plaza, very quiet. Superb breakfast is worth the price.

I found this place on Trip Advisor and glad I did. It was a pleasant place to stay on the Camino. My room overlooked the plaza which changed its scene each day. My accommodations were excellent. I appreciated the cafe and restaurant below and the ability to charge to my room. My best appreciation is for the kind staff who...

The hotel is located at 5 minutes walk from the two main attractions, the Catedral and the bishop's house made by Gaudí. We had a room with the window to the square but we did not hear anything, perhaps because double glass windows. The breakfast is just fine, nothing special. The lady that received us in the evening was nice...

Very reasonably priced hotel. Exceptionally clean and spacious. Friendly reception staff. Astorga is small and this lovely hotel is in the square . 5 minute walk to cathedral and reconnection to Camino . Highly recommend .

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Astur Plaza. Our room overlooked the plaza, but double layers of glass provided more than adequate soundproofing. Our room was spacious with an extra large king bed. The bathroom also had an oversized shower and modern fixtures, quite clean and usable. Breakfast was just OK with a reasonable variety of items, but poor coffee,...

It all started well, clean room, good bed but the plastic cups cut ones lips, the volume control meant we needed subtitles instead of using the volume control and when we asked the receptionist for locations to eat the phrase 'blonde' jumped into my mouth as she was unable to respond in any meaningful manner. In summary come and judge...

“If driving in and planning to park in the underground car park: (1) make sure you have a small car and (2) get clear directions to the car park entrance...it's NOT easy to find. We circled at least three times after a long day's drive before we found it.”
