I went with friends for a birthday celebration and we had a delicious meal and the service was great! Most of us had one of the specials which was sausages cooked in cider and it was a very generous portion and extremely tasty! They do have vegetarian options. Cider seems to be one of their specialties many different types! Highly... More

Used to go this venue frequently but had not been for over a year. Wished I hadn't left it so long. Fantastic and attentive service and great food. We all had something different, Fish, Local Sausages, Chicken and a Halloumi Salad. Verdict from all 4 of us was we will be back.

Took some friends for dinner, food was absolutely excellent. I had belly of pork that was absolutely fantastic with roasted beetroot. My friends had equally good food, rabbit pie and sausage and mash. We drank long blonde, a truly marvellous ale.

Lovely settings and the food was very good. The menu was varied and the presentation was very good. Service was friendly and despite it being very busy we didn't feel rushed in any way important when two of our party were elderly and slightly infirm.

Welcoming, professional staff, gorgeous food - the perfect place to eat out. Able to completely relax and not feel rushed - lovely Sunday afternoon treat. Having arrived later than we thought from the airport,we decided to go straight to the pub for dinner and arrived 10 minutes after the kitchen had closed but the chef very kindly stayed on and prepared baked cod for us.Without doubt this was one of the tastiest cod dishes we have experienced ,the sauce was exquisite and beautifully cooked fish,this... We went back for another birthday lunch and it was as good as ever. There were so many delicious dishes to chose from. We both had pork fillet with black pudding, stilton mash, Guinness and honey sauce, all accompanied by a big dish of five fresh vegetables. Chocolate pudding followed. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The price was very... More

The food was good and staff friendly but parking is pants and the tables uncomfortable but we would still go back the food was yummy. Lots of choice on the menu and lots of games to keep everyone busy and laughing while waiting for food which wasnt long!

We often drop in for lunch and are never disappointed. The food is of a high standard and the service always comes with a smile. Everyone is welcome here, including your dog and what better place to stop off for a rest after a good walk in the country.

Comfortable interesting venue we went to for lunch. Good varied menu. Nice staff. Only drawback for me was the more people who came in for lunch the more difficulty I had having conversation with my friends as the acoustics were not great. However - overcome this (or buy a hearing aid) and all will be well. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit... More
