The hotel overbooked rooms and as a result relocated us and another couple to a hotel in a city center where we got a room with a view on a construction. After few days we got back and found out that the hotel is quite old, was not renovated for ca. 20-30 years. We were supposed to get a room with shower and got a bath instead. Above our balcony there were stairways that were very loud. The fridge was working very poorly and got very hot on the outside. There is no electric kettle in the room. Beach by which this hotel is located is a typical grand hotel beach, not an intimate one as we expected from a hotel located in woods. We haven't spend a single day there as the water by that beach is quite cold in comparison to other beaches located on Sithonia. Breakfasts are very poor, almost no vegetables (with no taste), fruits only in syrup, one type of cheese, very dry feta. Very poor selection. No lactose free or gluten free products.

Our vacantion at Porfi Beach Hotel was amazing. We felt very good, the room was very nice, food very tasty and Mr. Stelios at taverna was the best. The cleaning was everyday. The location is gorgeous with a lush garden. Very amicable staff. We will definitely be back.

We recently stayed for a ten day holiday at this hotel. The staff were all extremely hard working, efficient and friendly, putting in long hours. Our room was spotlessly clean with towels and bedding changed regularly during our stay. We queried the bath/shower arrangement as it didn’t appear to be one thing or the other - no plug so it couldn’t be used as a bath and no shower curtain so having a shower meant the whole bathroom turned into a wet room. Apparently we needed to have stated if we wanted a shower specifically! The ground and gardens are really beautiful with wonderful planting schemes and flowers everywhere. The pool and beach are close to each other and there are always plenty of loungers at both. There is also lots of seating in and around the complex and plenty of shady areas to escape the sun if required. Breakfast buffet had a wide choice available as did the evening meal buffet. Face masks are required to be worn when indoors selecting food. Nikiti, the local town, is too far to walk but is reachable for a €6 taxi ride. Just be careful if returning in the evening as an hour wait is normal at busy times. There is not much else to do outside the hotel and there is only one other taverna locally which was very good. The hotel also offers bookings for local excursions to places of interest which was really useful as TUI, who didn’t have a rep at this hotel, weren’t able to offer us anything suitable. This hotel is very family friendly and I would recommend it.

For more than 20 years, we have enjoyed the Greek hospitality and kindness in many different hotels (on the mainland). Unfortunately, at Porfi Beach Hotel we experienced little of that hospitality. The clerk at the reception welcomed us in a rather cool and distant way. As a family with 2 grown-up children, we had booked 2 rooms. Because they were not located close to each other, we asked for an additional chair so that the 4 of us could sit on the balcony together. Apparently, there was no chair in the entire hotel (nevertheless, we saw some in the garden near the beach). We were forced to leave the swimming pool two times (in order for it to be cleaned) in a very impolite way, and at seemingly random moments in the late afternoon/early evening. However, opening hours for the pool could not be found anywhere. When my son jumped in the pool (he did not dive), he was immediately told that this was not allowed, although the signs at the pool only mentioned “no diving”. The day after, no one had any remarks when other guests did exactly the same. Mosquitoes are swarming in the swimming pool area because of the fountains. Fortunately, the situation is a lot better at the beach (and besides, the waiter at the beach is very friendly!). The charge for both rooms we booked was exactly the same, but they differed significantly in quality. Rooms at the left wing are spacious, clean and have a well-functioning air conditioning. Rooms at the right wing, on the other hand, are old, smaller and the air conditioning is very hard to contol. Moreover, after taking a shower, the bathroom on this side had a rather unpleasant smell. The rooms were cleaned well on a daily basis. One day, however, cleaning had already begun when we were still in the room, without asking whether this suited us… We booked a regime with breakfast, which was varied, extensive and very good! Many times we have the feeling upon departure that we want to return to the hotel in one of the coming years because we had such a good time. At Porfi Beach, this was not the case.

Well, we booked here for a 2 wk holiday. Lovely place, spotless clean, own beach , sunbeds. Food we were half board, breakfast & dinner , and i cannot complain, food choice, variety, each day. Plus a a la cart, restaurant, where the choice is better, but you pay, we didnt try it, but looked good food , hotel bar ,pool bar , you pay extra, of course for drinks than local taverna , which is a 15min walk from hotel, only one by the way in the area . We had a room overlooking the pool, which is lovely, fresh towels everyday. Only hiccup. On the balcony lots of climbing plants , flowers , lots of bees, not ideal if have small children. The hotel staff do not speak much english, which was difficult at times. Transport , zilch, walking to nikiti, will take you 1 hr plus , not very safe, on a main rd, especially if have children, the time we were their, never seen a local bus at all. So a taxi, you can order at main reception , will cost you 12.00 euro their and back . Unless you have the option, to hire a car . Overall , peace and quiet, if thats what you are looking for , 1 week would be sufficient, ..

The hotel itself is old but recenty renowated. The hotel area is nice, very green with a lot of trees and flowers. The room was spacious, new furniture and very clean. They offered daily housekeeping. We had HB. Both the breakfast and the dinner were delicious. Variety was good. The pool area is nice, cozy and calm. The beaches in Nikiti and Metamorfosis are not the best in Halkidiki but this one was ok, clean and maintained. The water was crystal clear in the mornings and a bit blurry in the afternoons. The stuff was always smiling and willing to help. Value for money, definitely worthed. One small thing to be improved - get some new blankets. The linen was nice and new but the blankets should be replaced, though I’m pretty sure they will do that very soon as the hotel seems to be improving

If it wasn't for these few bad/lazy personnel i would have given the hotel the highest score. So lets start with the good things first: - Waiter Stelios and receptionist Kristina, guys you deserve all my gratitude and should be taken as example for a person devoted to work and very polite. - The superior double room we have booked was spacious, renovated, and clean with very comfortable beds, painted in soft cream (not pure white) color, very nice - Toilet had a nice big bath tub something you rarely find in Greek hotels with 3 stars - The breakfast and dinner were different and very tasty (note there are fried eggs every day so someone may say its the same breakfast but there are other choices too so one can have different breakfast) - Beach is average (could use some cleaning of the sand) i expected more than what i saw there but it was not crowded which is a big plus. now the bad things: -I am 183cm tall (6feet) and i could hardly touch the floor when sitting on the wc-shell i wonder who was the genius who did the plumbing and lift the toilet shell 10cm (if it had to be done it should have been done all around the shell so the shorter people can also put their feet on the ground) - very uncomfortable but i can forgive that - The room was supposed to be cleaned each day, in 10 days i had to go to the reception 3 times in a roll to ask for the room to be cleaned (someone was very lazy and skipping room service, without even taking the trash out) - not something i can forgive when i pay 130 euro per night - The cleaning personnel is there to clean not to give me lessons if Bulgaria and Macedonia are the same country and if we are the same people (i hope some of the managers reads this and pays attention to that) - something i will not allow even in the cheapest hotel and not in a 3 star one - One of the waiters obviously didn't like my answer when i told him i am from Macedonia, so the next morning he tried to provoke me by yelling out lout "patriot" "patriot" and looking at me - Please spend some money and change the air-conditioned, its older than some of the guests, very loud and has no thermostat to turn itself off when it reach the wanted temperature so the room is either freezing cold or hot as hell. In addition there was a dog that lives in the hotel yard and which is super friendly (both me and my daughter pet her every day and we loved that) ill put this as neutral since there may be people afraid of dogs, but for animal lovers it can only be a plus. There were also 2 hens in a chicken coop which also can be very interesting for city kids who rarely have a chance to see a domestic animal/bird

We stayed here only one night after staying somewhere else which was closing. It was really lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was my husbands birthday and they organised a beautiful cake which wasn’t expensive. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Grounds and gardens are beautifully cared for and really pretty. Wish we’d been here for longer.
