We spent a night here as a part of a motorcycle tour and found the hotel to be quite comfortable. It was reasonably quiet and the food served was nice. I was a little shocked by the massage studio attached to the hotel which seemed to offer much more than a Thai massage. The room was large and had a...

Tak is not the most popular destination in Thailand : a typical Thai laid-back town, but great if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of all other Thai tourist destinations. I’ve made my reservation 4 months in advance at booking.com for a cancelable rate of 1500baht/night (40€) for a large corner suite, taxes and breakfast for 2 included,...

The hotel is old but elegant with many embellishments. Very comfortable and conveniently located along the river just before the bridge that goes over to Mae Sot. Also located in the main downtown area and it was nice to take a walk through the local market there at night. Good price too at 1,200 baht for a very nice room...

Stopped here on the way from Mae Sot to Chiang Mai. The hotel is centrally located, close to the main markets and adjacent to the Ping River. The staff were friendly and helpful, courteous and accommodating, willing to provide advice and guidance as to the local surrounds. My room 3613 was spotless, airy and roomy with two single beds and...

We thought the restaurant should be good but it was less than good. The duck curry was mainly bone with very little meat, on complaining we were offered a 30% discount but after negotiations a full refund for the dish was achieved. The steamed chicken with lime, the pork and vegetables and the rice with black olives was all o.k....

Viang Tak 2 and Viang Tak Riverside listing on Trip Advisor are the same hotel! Why 2 listings for the same old hotel? Could confuse people in to thinking there are 2 different hotels! Does have a swimming pool and English menus in the restaurant which can be a plus. Located on the riverfront, walking distant to local markets and...

Booked this based on the ratings but will not be staying there again. Poor service, overpriced drinks and smelling carpets as you get off the lift to your floor. Positives - our room was recently renovated but not the awful bathroom, good river view and reasonable buffet breakfast. Its one of those old grandiose Thai hotels built many many years...

A very pleasant surprise. Wish that we had stopped here last week on our way north. Lovely huge rooms, more a suite than a room. Good size swimming pool for the boys. (Not a Jacuzzi taken with a panorama shot that many hotels use as a 'lure'). Good food in the restaurant, a choice of both Western and Asian. And...

I got a room with river view. Last year November. The room was so clean, the furniture and facilities provided were working properly. I love this hotel especially night view of the river by the main road. Another reason is, it is walking distance from market where all good street foods, stores and whole sales shops were located. Love the...
