Set in the countryside on the outskirts of Fayence this is a lovingly restored flour and olive mill. A new water wheel is testimony to the love and investment the owners have put into this property. The hotel has a top-rated restaurant which sadly was full of the night we visited, but that in itself is an indication of its... More

We had a group lunch at the "grille le piscene" at this charming hotel. We were a group ranging from mid 40's through to 83 years of age, all of us foodies and everyone of us found the menu offered something we wanted to try. We all opted for the fixed price menu choosing a variety of dishes between us... More

We were staying as three couples at the nearby Tierre Blanche Golf Resort, and were very disappointed with that place's food ( both quality and price), and were recommended to try the Moulin for dinner. Only a 15 minute taxi drive away, and we were so glad that we chose to do this. The location is beautiful outside the village... More

Why my title: The site itself with olive trees & the village perched up above. A gracious service. Interesting food & a the best value lunch menu you will find on the coast. You must find this out for yourself. How to define charm ? It's that indefinable mixture where everyone feels good. Look at the faces when you enter... More

Visited the "grille le piscene" for a group of six for lunch. Wow, the setting is gorgeous French Provençial, set in the gardens by the pool. They offer a set menu as well As al a carte choices. We all had three courses and all the food was extremely fresh and amazingly tasty, not to mention the house Rose. Would... More

Thanks to friends for finding this lovely restaurant and for organising a perfect June day! We sat outside in the garden under huge umbrellas in the sprawling grounds with swimming pool and ancient stone. The ambience pretty perfect. The lunchtime menu was €22 which included a glass of wine. It was a two course menu with good choices and before... More

There is no doubt that this is a charming hotel in a beautiful part of the South of France. It is in a beautiful setting just outside Fayence with a a nice 20 min walk up the hill into Fayence but is set in its own grounds. The Restaurant is excellent but the rooms are basic – small with ensuite... More

In my experience this is with out doubt the best dining experience in the area. Service is superb with properly waist coated waiters. The Menu varies according to the time of year and will satisfy the most discerning gourmet, to elaborate further will not do adequate justice, my suggestion is a visit but be sure to pre book. During the... More

We visited le Moulin again in January. Busy as always this lovely stone mill is in a perfect setting, but although the staff are always friendly, unfortunately the food is inconsistent. We had an average Saint Jaques risotto to start, with Cote de Veau and fillet de boeuf with truffles for main course. A baba arabica and nougat au miel... More

I haven't stayed here only been for lunch, twice. The setting is sublime inside and out. If the weather is behaving, eating outside just seems to add another dimension to the experience. Although I live in a village with 18 places to eat and drink I always suggest to visitors that the trip to Fayence is worth it. I have... More
