#2 of 4 in Bagno Vignoni
Travelers' Choice
Built in a country house style, the resort boasts 1000 square meters of thermal and sports swimming pools, a sauna and steam bath area delimited by the walls of an old travertine quarry. Waters are piped and chilled, and maintain their beneficial and healing properties intact: they are used for packs, hydro massages and mud therapy. The range of aesthetic treatments is wide – from the classic beauty treatments to fitness programs with different intensities; from holistic techniques for the well-being of body and mind to thermal treatments. Ayurveda is the pride of the spa: besides custom massages, you can also be examined by professional Indian doctors who, after a long session, give advices on the best health tips and diet to reach a psycho-physical well-being.The cookery is in tune with the general atmosphere. Thanks to a mix of original recipes from the Tuscan tradition and well-balanced solutions, food at Adler is divine, healthy and tasty at the same time.

Have been staying at the Adler Bagno Vignoni since 2006 and I keep coming for the amazing location, services, and phenomenal staff. The food is to die for and there is a wide selection of spa treatments, fitness activities and opportunities to discover Val D'Orcia its history, wine/oil and nature. I highly recommend this place - it has a special energy and it is a great place to recharge and relax. Every season is great as the scenery is fantastic all year round, I particularly enjoy winter but have loved spring and summer as well.

Such an amazing experience! Second time at an Adler (after Ortisei) and found here as well incredible amenities and people. The energy is overwhelming and you only have to decide how to split your time between the experiences in the surrounding area (brilliantly organized) and the relax in the wellness center. 3 main points: - Panoramic Sauna: words cannot describe the ventilation process and the iced bath afterwards (in January!) - Food & Wine: amazing choice of both products and wine list - Staff: I guess the hiring process must be though because literally everyone is so caring and welcoming; a special mention goes to Carlo from the restaurant and Luca the pianist (one of the best we have ever listened to, who has the energy of a true Neapolitan and the precision of a Swiss, capable of switching from Morricone to Adele without a blink and who gifted us with 3 unforgettable nights) Onto the next one!

Every second has been such a bliss. From the outstanding quality of the service, to the level of hygiene in every place, and the incredible beauty of every corner. A plus for the professionalism of every single person we had the pleasure to be served by. Really enchanting place. Would have never left.

The hotel is amazing especially in this time of lockdowns. They test everyone for covid before allowing them to the hotel which is an added bonus. The facilities are amazing and so is the food. I gave it four stars because the service (including spa services) is uneven. Some of the staff are excellent others are not on par with 5 star hotel. Reception and checkout are always a pain. I have stayed here three times in the past two months and it’s been uneven. The rooms are also not soundproof and so I was awaken once by someone talking on the phone and another time by the cleaning lady vacuuming upstairs...

If you are looking for a uber relaxing stay with EXCEPTIONAL food in the heart of Tuscany - look no further. Immaculately maintained with ample sized rooms and one of the best designed and equipped bathroom I've ever seen. The only structural/architectural defects are the hallways that can be a bit dark and, because there are some rooms at ground level, be prepared to have people in the pool area able to see you if you venture out to the patio/lanai outside each room unless you specifically request a room where the pool is not visible. The food choices at breakfast and dinner are wide ranging, fresh, delicious and elegantly presented. Careful attention is paid (and noticeable to anyone with an eye for detail/cultured palette) to EVERY aspect of food preparation. Servers are kind, informed, attentive (without being clingy) and happy to accomodate any REASONABLE request. The ONLY negative experience was with the spa staff. The massage therapists are all good to exceptional but the desk/reception staff often seemed disinterested and/or confused (and it is not attributable to language because I am fluent Italian). The positive aspect to this demeanor is that they do not employ hard sell techniques to convince you to have treatments that you're not interested in. Not likely to return to this particular resort but I will gladly visit one of the other properties in the northeastern section of the country to experience this kind of hospitality again.

The Adler Val d’Orcia is a beautiful hotel with a genuinely relaxed atmosphere without trying too hard. The setting is stunning, rolling Tuscan hills in the background and the complex itself is centred around a natural thermal spring which flows into well designed indoor and outdoor pools. There’s also a large outdoor swimming pool if you don’t fancy the 35C thermal water in summer. The restaurant has a beautiful open courtyard and serves excellent quality Italian food with attentive service. I’d recommend upgrading to half board as it’s only another €25 pp and includes up to 6 courses, including antipasti, soup and cheese as well as primo, secondo and dessert (if you can face it!). If you pay as you go it’s €46 pp for dinner I think. Breakfast is fabulous, best we’ve had in Italy, lots of choice from an omelet bar and fresh pastries to vegan yogurt and bircher muesli. The rooms are much bigger than expected, well designed and appointed. As far as I can see they all have a little terrace too. The spa is exceptional, we had a few treatments, all were great and not too expensive for the standard, in my view. My only frustrations were the WiFi, which is really not good enough for a hotel of this standard/ cost, and no (or completely inadequate) air conditioning in the gym. The upshot was that you need to use 4G for online access around the pool and other parts of the hotel, and a workout is either very unpleasant or impossible during high season, depending on your tolerance for heat

Everything was perfect...the resort is beautifully laid out which works great for our new socially distanced travel world. The pool and thermal pools were spacious and had plenty of sun loungers for everyone. The saunas/steam rooms needed to be privately booked for short stints, allowing everyone the opportunity to enjoy them privately as well. We also did their ebike tour which was a nice way to spend the morning. The food was outstanding, plenty of high quality break choices and a great 5 course dinner every night. We also used the spa services several times, also of very high quality. The rooms were nicely laid out, quiet and had extremely comfortable beds. Finally, the staff were superb everywhere we went, a huge shout out to the restaurant staff in particular who could not do enough to make everyone happy. We would gladly return to this amazing resort,

High quality Spa, costumer Service, FOOD and everything else. Nothing negative to say about this place. I have been going since it was open in about 2006 with my family always in December. If you want to get treated like a queen/king, no doubt this is the perfect place. Surrounded by a magical little city that recall medieval architecture. Even thought the location seems further from city life, once you will get in the building you’ll wish to never get out again. Chapeau.

the Adler restaurant is what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. Simply perfect. First-class products and good cuisine at all times. Attention to allergens, expertise of the restaurant staff, well-stocked wine list. Friendliness and kindness of the staff make it a welcoming place.
