This was our 3rd stay here, the first being nearly 20 years ago and the last 10 years ago. This is a timeless hotel, all the better for remaining an oasis of calm in a busy world. Our suite had an extensive roof terrace, the gardens were in great condition and the food was fantastic - both the light lunches... More

We spent one night at this hotel for a special occasion and it was just perfect! We were greeted as we arrived by someone who unloaded our luggage and parked our car, we were then given a tour around the property and shown to our room. We stayed in the stable block and our room was fantastic, it was spacious,... More

This locale, setting, property, and accommodation were exactly what we needed after a busy time in Rome. Tuscany is one postcard view after another and the relaxed atmosphere was welcome for a weary family. We stayed at the farmhouse and had a private courtyard. Sunsets were breathtaking. The restaurant on the property was very good. Farm to table was clear.... More

Suite large and furnished in an ad-hoc but attractive way. The family that owns it goes back to the Middle Ages with six cardinals. Thus, the rooms are furnished with odd piece and pieces that the family has gathered over the centuries. Extremely well kept gardens and lawns. Most attractive the Lemon Garden. Service and breakfast excellent. Only draw back,... More

The hotel used to be a papal residence, and the property is beautiful. The buildings are clearly historic and unique. But the furnishings leave you feeling a bit like you're staying in a musty museum. It's all a little too Baroque for my taste, especially at the price.

This estate with about 36 rooms is romantic, unusual, expensive and breathtaking. We had reserved a suite in the farmhouse building. It was beautiful but unfortunately for us, the air conditioning was broken. Fortunately for us, we were moved to an upgraded suite in the main building that was beyond fabulous. The furnishings were lush and dramatic....our suite wax large enough... More

We booked 2 nights at Relais la Suvera to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. It really is the most perfect setting, with great views over the Tuscan countryside and beautiful gardens to explore. The buildings are magnificent and there is even a small church. The staff were all very professional and helpful and our suite in the old farm house... More

Just arrived from La Suvera. The location is perfect for visiting Toscania ,very central and only a few km away from "everything". La Suvera is beautiful, rooms are quite good, food is very good ( with an excellent breakfast, not very usual in Italy) and the staff does everything to make you feel "at home*.

A little off the beaten track and as other reviewers have said you need a car, yet the property and rooms are quite charming. Though the pool was open it was too cold to even think about using. La Suvera should be used as your evening resting spot as there is nothing to do around the property unless the weather... More
