#1 of 2 B&Bs / Inns in Steni Dirfyos
The guesthouse "Vassiliki" is a small complex of stone buildings, built amphitheatrically opposite the well-known destination at Steni Evia! It operates daily at the most part of the year and has 16 separate and spacious rooms (double, two with hydromassage and double with attic, which can accommodate more people, all with separate living room furniture, fireplace, bar/fridge, telephone and LCD TV), reception and breakfast room is available for our guests. The discreet and elegant environment will give you moments of relaxation and rejuvenation! You can easily reach us by car and park it out of our private parking. One breath away from the premises of the house is the village! Vasiliki offers guests the luxury of direct contact with the nature and experience of friendly service. A place of absolute tranquility, it blends tradition with modern comforts so that you can enjoy the rustic aura of tranquility, without giving up the bustling city habits. Here you will find - at the reception - the warmth and feel from the first moment the intimacy offered by its hosts, while at the rich breakfast buffet you will enjoy home-made delights, such as tea and honey from Durfi, hot bread and fresh eggs from the village and homemade handmade jams from the women of the area!

It is difficult to know where to start; I cannot praise the guesthouse enough. The staff and owner were completely brilliant! They were very helpful and provided maps and information about the local area. I had a medical problem while we were here and they were extremely helpful and moved us to a more accessible room and delivered breakfast to our room in the morning. We will definitely be coming back as it’s a fantastic guesthouse in a beautiful setting. There are great hiking trails which we would like to explore when I have recovered from my knee injury.

We chose it for a weekend, knowing that restrictions due to Covid-19 apply. The guesthouse is amazing, with views of the village, valley and mountains. Just 5 min walk from the main part of Steni village which was perfect for ensuring calmness. We were upgraded to a room with mezzanine floor, so big it could be a villa. Breakfast was not served in buffet size due to the Covid regulations but a big tray with variety was brought to the table. It was an exceptional breakfast with many delicacies that I rarely see in breakfast. Ex. spinach pie, home rice pudding, milk tart etc. The owner can be trusted to provide unbiased tips and insights. Lovely experience, we plan to return asap

We recently spent a couple of days at the Guesthouse Vasiliki in Evia in the village of Steni, and I have only positive comments to mention. The owners, a bunch of friendly and welcoming persons know well how to treat their guests, while the property provides spacious and comfortable suites with panoramic views, free Wi-Fi in all areas and fireplaces, however not handicapped friendly! This lovely stone-built guesthouse is open all year round and easily merits an extra star for comfort, situation and service. Check-in and our Suite It was a matter of minutes before having the keys to our corner suite, which was in two levels, nicely designed, spacious and airy with modern amenities. The ground floor featured an open plan with a fireplace and air conditioning, a comfortable sleeper sofa, a small fridge and a flat-screen TV. The back balcony by the sitting room overlooking the garden and the imposing rock of the village stands out and can be seen from miles away. The wooden staircase leads up to the bedroom attic. The bed was very relaxing, and I loved the nicely designed free standing mirror by the corner. Bathroom It was spacious and bright, was equipped with a glass shower enclosure. Shampoo and shower gel are provided, however, not a plastic cap or body lotion. Breakfast We enjoyed traditional Greek variety of homemade dishes at the breakfast Restaurant of the Guesthouse Vasiliki. We loved the thick local yoghurt, the homemade cakes, the desserts, as well as marmalades, the French toast and local honey. Among others, seasonal fruit, coffee and pies. What more to ask! Blessed with beauty, the round area offers an array of outdoor activities. The Guesthouse is popular not only with locals but guests from Europe who love hiking and trekking. In all, our stay was pleasant, and I look forward to returning, however in winter the next time!

Stayed for a night and our room was spacious, spotlessly clean with a large bed and very tasteful decor. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. Our hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended

So glad we found this place. In a stunning location on the hillside. Modern, very clean and very friendly and helpful owner. The photographs on the website just don’t do it justice. Steni is a pretty little village to explore too and comes alive at night. Breakfast was fantastic. Homemade traditional cheese pies, thick local yoghurt, homemade jam, cakes, bread, local honey, fruit and cooked eggs if you have room (we didn’t). We definitely want to come again, for longer, and bring our hiking gear next time.
