Recommended only if you have an affinity/ or want to experience the remnants of our colonial past.Housed in the old DC Bungalow, offers peaceful environ & some magnificent views of the Kohima town. That apart, there is not much to write home about in terms of facilities.Slightly on the expensive side, not worth the money spent I'd say (debatable of course)!!

A non-hotel hotel, The Heritage is located in the heart of Kohima, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Superb hospitality extended by Chonpin Yanthan and his team. The rooms are large, have traces of the elite culture. The bathrooms are large, clean and have all facilities. The sitting areas are serene and homely. The views from the...

If you want to see how the ruling elite lived a hundred years ago, go there and sip a tea. There is no reason to sleep in run down rooms, on sagging mattresses and shower with barely trickling water. To add insult to injury, they slap you with a 10% B.S. charge that was not mentioned at the time of...

We spent a couple of nights at the Heritage. It is full of character with friendly, helpful staff and food reasonable. Breakfast in the garden warmed by the sun is very pleasant. Be prepared though, it is cold at night at the end of November and December and the bungalow is airy! Water pressure was also a challenge, but a...

Accommodation in border states is expensive relative to the rest of the country... this place is good value for money considering the region. Great setting - lovely old colonial style building perched on a hill. Good security - compound locked in the evening. We felt more than comfortable to leave our soft panniers on our motorbikes. Dinner was good. Breakfast...
