Detailed Reviews
We've stayed in a room with a private pool for a weekend. The room has great interior design and was very clean (everyday cleaning services). We enjoyed much the spacious private pool. Great room to chill, relax and do nothing but enjoy the pool and the view!
The restaurant has great food with normal prices.
The breakfast is palatable with a variety of choices (maybe the best breakfast i have ever tasted in this kind of hotel class).
The main pool has stunning view.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
On the public areas of the hotel all the anti-covid precautions were taken by the staff and guests.
Down across the restaurant there is a great sand beach with crystal clear waters (though not organised). The location is great and there are many interesting places to visit nearby.
Definitely recommend and want to come back for more days.

This is a hotel of two parts. We were staying in the older part and whilst there was absolutely nothing wrong with the accommodation it felt a little tired and in a need of a makeover. That said, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The newer part looked very smart. The facilities such as the pool, the almost private beach, the arrangement for sunlounges on the local organised beach and the restaurant were available to everyone and all first class. And the staff were great, friendly and helpful without exception. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

We stayed 5 nights at Colonides, at the new suites. The private swimming pool of the suite was big enough for the standard of the peer hotels. The room was very clean with every day service, taking into consideration that recently other hotels do not offer that service of daily cleaning due to Covid-19. The infinity pool of the new (expanded) section of the hotel was stunning! The personnel were really very kind, professional and with smiling faces!
The dining experience was excellent (we had dinner two out of five evenings) and both were absolutely superb!
We enjoyed our stay and definitely planning to visit Colonides Beach Hotel again in the future!!!

We stayed in one of the junior suit and we were excited to stay at this hotel having read all the positive reviews, but we got really disappointed beginning to end of our staying.
To start with the hotel is quite big and feels more like a tourist village than a boutique hotel. The overall look, feel, decoration especially of the reception and rooms is really old fashioned and dated. It always looked clean but for what we paid we were really expected a luxury experience, whereas this compare at best to a 3 star hotel.
There’s no attention to detail anywhere, not on the interior design, not on the breakfast presentation and even the staff uniforms look really standard.
The communal infinity pool seemed nice but if you’re traveling as a couple and hoping for a romantic stay this might not be the place. The pool was full of kids playing and splashing around, which is also nice but there should be more clarity on the hotel website that even though there are two pools, none of them are adults only.
Also if you’re looking at booking the junior suit, please don’t fall for the ‘swimming pool in the room’ detail. It’s a nice concept but the overall feel of the room was basic and old fashioned and having a private pool didn’t make it moreromantic.
The wifi didn’t work properly and we had to call the staff a few times to get it fixed but it never quite worked. The 4g or 5g doesn’t really work where the hotel is located so do consider how much you might need connections when you come to this place.
The breakfast is standard and basic with not even fresh orange juice that is quite normal in this area.
None of the staff in the breakfast area ask you if you’d like any type of coffee from the bar; they just let you use the automatic coffee machine.
If you’re someone who travels a lot and normally stay in luxury boutique hotel, you will not like this place.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay at Colonides Beach Hotel. We sincerely appreciate your input, as it allows us to continually improve our offerings and enhance the experiences of our valued guests. We understand that our hotel's size and ambiance may not align with your expectations. While we aim to provide a serene and relaxing environment, we recognize that individual preferences vary. We appreciate your feedback about the pool areas. While our hotel welcomes guests of all ages, including family apartments as well, we understand that some may prefer an absolute adult-oriented atmosphere. It is worthy to mention that there are two swimming pools in our hotel in order to maintain peace & balance accordingly. We take your statement as a recommendation to define the one of the two swimming pools adults-only. When it comes to the Junior Suites, we comprehend that you found the decoration and the “Private Pool” concept less appealing than anticipated. Even if the Junior Suites with Private Pool are constructed in 2020, we value your perspective. Moreover, we're actively addressing the WiFi concern of yours to ensure reliable connectivity for our guests, despite the challenges posed by the area's network coverage. Nevertheless, we provided you with an alternate solution offering you a hotspot device during your stay. We value your feedback about the breakfast experience, and we will review our offerings to ensure they align with the expectations of our guests. Your comments are instrumental in helping us enhance our services and provide the best possible experience for our guests. Wish you safe and memorable travels!

I'll start with the kindest staff. Although we visited the hotel in September (when all tourism workers "bear" the fatigue of the season) and only for one night (so they could not be too busy...), all (but all) the workers who served us (reception, service, etc) were incredibly kind and smiling. We stayed in a family apartment with a garden view, which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with the only negative being its slightly dated aesthetic in the small details. The whole complex is very well cared for with the key point being the swimming pool, which in September (without shouting and fuss) was magical!

The hotel is in a very beautiful spot. Not actually by the beach, more on the cliff above the beach. The infinity pool is fabulous and next to the restaurant where a great breakfast is served. The views across the bay towards the Taygetos mountains are spectacular. It was our anniversary and the hotel left us a gift of fresh fruit and chilled fizz in our room, which was lovely touch. We booked a garden view but sadly had a view of the side of the reception building, unless you cricked your neck, there was no view of the garden. There were a few issues with the room as the door key or safe didn't work. The self catering kitchenette is adequate but we would've really appreciated some washing up equipment. Running down the road to buy some Fairy liquid for a 3 night stay wasn't on my 'must do' lists!
The staff are very helpful, pleasant as all Greeks are and most efficient.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the rest of the travelling community. Having stayed with us in such a lovely occasion we appreciate your kind comments related to our facilities, pointing out the level of services we always look forward to providing. We are sorry to hear that your room view fell short to your expectations. We offer a sincere discription of our room types accompanied with photos, allowing our guests to have a detailed overview of our room types to choose from. Further to the issues mentioned, it is true that sometimes due to the intense heat the lock panels outside the room may temporarily disfunction and that is why we offer our guests manual keys as an alternative. Regarding the room safe box not working we wish you have brought this to our attention so that we could fix it for you. Lastly we would like to inform you that we provide all the necessary washing equipment to our guests staying in rooms with kitchennetes upon request. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences that might have lessend your experience and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

We stayed 7 nights, everything was excellent. Staff really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious (we stayed at the "old" rooms, while now the hotel is expanded with new suites and a second "infinity" pool). Breakfast had a good variery and the restaurant (also new) was the best dining experience in the wider area. The view of the messinian gulf is breathtaking! We were glad to find out that the pool hours included siesta pause during midday.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Please, do something for the wifi speed! Some of us have to work during our stay...

Dear Guest, We would like to express our appreciation for your kind words, but mostly for you dedicating some of your time to share your thoughts with the rest of the world. It is such a pleasure to know that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel! Regarding the wifi, our hotel is trying its best to deal with it, since the main factors are exterior. Eventhough we choosed to replace the traditional WiFi network with the Internet over satellite, when its efficiency is more than decent. Colonides team wishes to welcome you again in the future!

We booked the room with private pool. Just amazing. The interior & the view. Everything was extremely clean.
We enjoyed the stay a lot.
Also the general part was made in a modern & special way. The pool has a stunning view.
The sand-beach you can reach easily with some stairs was lonely and with christal clear whater.
The restaurants offers drings at the pool, snacks for lunch and burgers/pizza etc for dinner. For us it would have been great to have more special modern greek cuisine, but everything we ate was very tasty.
There is an older part of the hotel, of course it has a different style but everything was well kept.
Really, there was NOTHING to complain.

+1
Loved our room with private infinity pool overlooking the gulf waters and distant mountains. The room was beautiful with plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the beautiful pool through the wall to wall windows.
Also loved the marble bathroom rain shower. Can’t beat the soaker tub in the bedroom which overlooks the living room and pool deck.
The staff are incredible - extremely friendly and helpful.
Food at the hotel is fantastic! We dined on our private deck via room service. The restaurant with patio dining is beautiful as it overlooks the main infinity pool. We loved our nightly drinks (Skinos Fresh) prepared by the fabulous Jenny at the bar!
You cannot beat room Lux2!

Let me clarify that in the end I did not stay at the hotel... I had booked a room for 16 August for 4 days worth about 1600 euros.. Due to a personal problem I could not go, and 10 days before they had received half the value, I asked to cancel but not to get the money back, but to pay the full amount and get a voucher and have them tell me next year in the summer when can I go.... However the property preferred to keep the amount, talking about its policy hotel, and chose to make some money. In my opinion unacceptable, especially when you see from the customer that he is not asking for money back, and I had every intention of going! Too bad I didn't gift it to two friends
