We travelled from Sydney Australia to Club Med RDP and had the best time & weather at Club Med Rio Das Pedras. The village is beautiful, we enjoyed the beach, pools, waterski, kayak, and archery. (& bar) We felt very comfortable & welcome from the Chief De Village Jerome and his GO team and we were very sad to leave. We were (possibly) the only English speaking GM's in the village at the time, and we were made especially welcome by Jerome. Thank you for the cocktail event, and making us feel welcome and special in a non-English speaking environment. Our 12 year old daughter had the best time, learned to water ski, loved the sun dances by the pool, and loved the CM village life! Thank you Jerome for your kind and welcoming hospitality, and thank you to GO's Nine, Nay, Chief of Sport, & Assistant CDV.…
When traveling to Brazil, you will hear a lot about the Northeast and Rio. The beaches, the sun, the food, the people… this resort offered all of that in a much more convenient setting: 1-hour drive from Rio or a 4-hour drive from São Paulo. Great scenery, amazing beaches and islands you can visit in a day trip, rainforest walks, and amazing food. This Club Med’s facilities are a bit older than its Trancoso counterpart, but the staff makes up for it with great service and customer care. Oh, and make sure you stay at the La Reserve section of the hotel. Will definitely go again.
I really enjoyed these days I spent at Club Med! The whole team is always amazing and attentive as they said. People especially Ney and Ivan from the sport. Bloquinho, Thay and Juju from the Mini Club. Felipe Collins and Jessica from the bar. And Vicky choreographer!!!
We have been to about 15 club meds and Rio das Pedras was up there with the best. The setting is so beautiful and natural and calm - so characteristic of a typical club med resort. The service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. We really couldn’t fault it and had a genuinely wonderful time. Thanks club med - great job!
My interactions with the staff were especially rewarding. Matheus, India, Jamily, Toddy, Rodrigo, Victor, Jesus, and Jessica were very helpful and knowledgeable. A great way to be introduced to Brazilian culture.
ClubMed does the difference in quality, variety and presentation of every gourmet meal every day. Fish, meat, patiserie, pasta, wines are all outstanding. ClubMed is, as name says a club, so the infraestructure offered for all sports practicing are oustanding too.
Great place to go with family. Excellent food with all kind of meals. Coffee was really good, Lot of ctivities, Kids club was great too, Entertainment was amazing, specially Joao and Toddy who were pushing all time for joy.
Club Med Rio das Pedras was once a place to spend holidays. Too bad this is in the past. I frequented it many times from 1988 until now. In a few years, more than once. Well, I did. The service level is so bad that they've managed to turn a captive customer into someone who no longer wants the product even if it's free. The governance service level is bizarre. The faults range from not cleaning the rooms until 17:00 hs., not replacing water and toilet paper in the rooms, not changing towels when requested, and so on. Housekeepers walk the halls talking loudly and with loud intercom radios. One of the nights we had a leak on the bed of one of my children. After we asked them to fix the problem, the housekeeper came and kept the radio on high all the time (although it was after 8 pm), room door open and that wasn't enough, it didn't solve the problem and left the service in half. I had to go to reception to ask them to come back to complete the service. Still about room service, we asked the reception for the bottle warmer. They said they would send it to the room instead of delivering it on time. Well, two days passed and no one delivered. After two days they delivered a device that did not work. As for the infrastructure, the room phone didn't work, the “premium” and regular internet had slow and intermittent service throughout the week, and in addition to a leak in the room I stayed in, there were leaks in the corridors every 3 or 4 meters. When trying to use the sauna, I was informed that its use was conditional on you purchasing the massage service (until then, although it is to be expected that a hotel of this size has a sauna available, rules are rules...). I bought the service and scheduled the massage. When I went to use the sauna I was informed that it had been deactivated because of Covid (I do not contest the decision). I then asked them to cancel the massage package, as I had only purchased it to be able to use the sauna. The attendant informed her that she was not authorized to cancel without being charged. Result: I had to ask a supervisor, argue with the guy and even hear that if I wanted to apologize for what happened, I should complain to the Village Chef. When booking we ask for a room as close as possible to the Baby Corner because we have two small children. We booked months in advance. Upon arrival, the room was too far away and they said they had nothing to do. In fact, the reception itself does not make us feel welcomed. In short, my last visit to the hotel was a festival of frustrations and annoyances that would not be expected given the brand they have or the price they charge. To the point that I left a day before my stay was due so I wouldn't be annoyed anymore. I believe that decadence is the word that best summarizes what I witnessed. As I said above, it was a really cool place for a long time. It's really a shame that it ends like this...…
Excellent resort. The location is superb, the resort lies in a small bay, there are no other hotels next to it. The infrastructure is great: beautiful restaurant, most complete hotel Gym I have ever seen, indoor and outdoor good quality tennis courts, etc.). The rooms are spacious, with airco and dehumidifier, and the beds are comfortable. The food is delicious and the buffet has a selection of various meat, fish and vegetarian dishes for lunch and dinner. There is plenty to choose from for everyone's taste. Special thanks to Jeremie (Chef de Village) and Samuel (Chef de Village while Jeremie was on corporate duty) for making us feel at home.
Well I dont know how to start. From the first moment we entered the resort the reception was simply stunning. Everyone who works in the Exclusive part comes to serve you and it's just lovely. Every moment we were there we were asked if everything was fine or missing something. It starts from the cleaner who did an amazing job in the room every day, to the level of the bar and restaurant staff who just enjoyed doing what they do. I have been to quite a few Club Med- miches, Cancun, Europe, Maldives, Sicily and more I have not encountered such love and desire to serve you from the staff dimension. The club was always clean and tidy. Breathtaking view from the room. Tell the employees of the exclusive that they are amazing and we will definitely be back. And most importantly - the lovely idea that every night to give you a letter to the room with a positive sentence for life and chocolate just makes you smile. In conclusion - for a long time I did not enjoy Club Med as much as I did in Brazil. Thank you !…
