full of warmth, culture, traditions, security, safety, nature, birds... delicious food, yummy Indian deserts... big old style rooms... so much of history and interesting stories... quaint sit outs to chill and read... ideal to visit during autumn winter and spring... like a few days in the 17th century. Safety everywhere and very peaceful sleep.

we liked our time here. The owners are friendly and try to really take care of you. food is simple but good. the prices are all inclusive. Its smack in the middle of old Gwalior but once you get in you'd never be able to tell that its in the middle of chaos. The property is a large estate and can get extremely quiet. The Cons (if you want to call them that) 1. No TV, no wifi. Our kids were thoroughly bored. 2. getting in and out of the property is a pain. the roads are narrow and its in the middle of old Gwalior. 3. They only accept Cash payments. we stayed for 3 nights, 2 rooms, so the cash payout was reasonably high. Credit card usage would have been more convenient. 4. At night, its a little like a haunted house :). They let their dogs loose and advise you NOT to venture out of the room.

A quiet calming place in the midst of the organized chaos and sensory overload that is outside. The hosts are helpful and guiding without being intrusive. The rooms are huge with a separate indoor as well as outdoor sitting area and a large bathroom. The accommodation is bigger than many peoples houses. one certainly need the hosts help in getting to the place, once you do it is well worth it and there is no better place to rest and be taken care of. If you are looking for gourmet four course meal look elsewhere. If you are a looking for a healthy balanced, home cooked meal well prepared and served with pride and care this is the place. I could not have been happier with the quality of food or the chef dropping in to check that we were satisfied.this is a great place to stay and I would seek them without hesitation.

a unique homestay with Angre family, with a 1000 year legacy. the place is absolutely tranquil, with flora and fauna in the compound. excellent food and good support from the staff as also the hosts. would be glad to stay here again. anyone going to gwalior must stay here. for car buffs they own a Rolls Royce (1950) make and a Packard, both in use. each room is a well decorated suite.
