Neemrana Deobagh is beautiful property located in Gwalior city but away from the hustle bustle of city. It is 6 kms from the railway station and it takes approximately 20 minutes to reach here. The property is done in heritage style which is refreshing and feels great. Rooms open in big lush green lawns. Rooms are well maintained and clean....

Deo Bagh is truly an outstanding heritage property in a small town of Gwalior. We stayed there for 2 nights. Nice spacious rooms with a rustic decor in a truly heritage style. Spacious lawns and natural surroundings adds to its beauty. Very helpful and courteous staff always there in attendance. Dining area and lawns for evening tea gives a very...

Location not so great. Far from the centre. No food on site apart from set dinner. Breakfast was average. No wifi in room. Hot water in shower. Nice setting. Enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee from 5-6pm.

Property - No Qualms. Very good. Especially the gardens the ancient temple etc. Rooms were pretty decent too for the rate. Don't expect these to be ultra luxurious but not at all disappointing. The entire place had a haveli feeling, with lush green gardens and blooming flowers. Now the sad part. -> Sales tactics. Very dissapointing. We were informed after...

The property is well located. Neatly maintained. The rooms are tastefully done up. All rooms are very nice. The grounds too are well maintained. The staff is very helpful. We did not have any major meal at the resort, but the breakfast and evening tea was nice.

My traveling companions, my family, arrived here after dark. You can imagine our surprise as we pulled up to the gate and saw several people crouched around a burning campfire. It was almost surreal, as we passed them and then drove up the long road to approach the main building. India is chaotic, to put it bluntly. There are people...

We arrived and were stunned by the beauty of this hotel and the rooms. I wish we'd spent an extra night here. The rooms with verandahs are particularly beautiful as is the garden and the staff is wonderful! The food could be improved and I would suggest keeping it completely local, nit too spicy and less exotic.

The staff it's really nice and kind. We were there for two nights, one of them December 31st. They organized a nice gala dinner in the garden with dj music, which, sometimes, was a little bit too loud. The structure is amazing, beautiful gardens and 3 temples. Rooms are nice but, in the period of stay, quite cold. The shower...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Awaken history in a Char-bagh where Mughal emperors once camped ! History has it that in the late 1500 AD important Mughals camped in this “char bagh” with a stunning chhattis-dari (36-pillared pavilion) at its heart. This shielded the women in its underground chamber during the summer. Later, as the conquering Maratha army marched towards Delhi, the Jadhavs took possession of this natural water catchment area. Sardar Deorao Bhausaheb Jadhav and his son Sardar Krishnarao Deorao Jadhav used this 'bagh' as a summer house with the ladies’ section in Deo Bagh and the mens’ section in Jai Vihar, the family's current home. The garden complex houses the most exquisite family temples, a ‘hathi khana’ for elephants, stables and cenotaphs. Important Gwalior State meetings, especially against the British – when the valiant Rani of Jhansi fought from the fort rampart close by, were held here during that time. After India’s independence, this has been the home of Sardar Deorao Krishnarao Jadhav, his son Sardar Dhananjayrao Deorao Jadhav and his wife the Ranisaheba, since 1954 when they left their ancestral Lakshmi Vilas Rajwada. ... more   less
