Sat within quiet surroundings in the small village of Pernera, smartline Protaras makes for a good base in eastern Cyprus. The centre of Pernera is steps away, while the main centre of Protaras is within walking distance, where you'll find a variety of shops for souvenirs, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants for evenings out in the resort. There's a pool area where you can relax and sunbathe, or take a refreshing dip to cool off. You can also order drinks at the pool bar, to enjoy in the sun. If you'd rather spend the day at the beach, it's just a short walk to Marlita. You can also enjoy a session in the hotel's gym or play a friendly game of tennis on the hotel's court. There's also a pool table. For meals, the hotel has its own buffet restaurant, which offers international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As well as the pool bar, there is an indoor bar for alcoholic and soft drinks. Each of the rooms are decorated in a contemporary style, and all come with Wi-Fi and air conditioning as standard, as well as having a balcony, and a safe for your possessions. If you'd like to explore more of the island, smartline Protaras is within a short drive of the Cape Greco National Park, which offers plenty of popular sights and photo opportunities.

Stayed only for the weekend which is probably long enough in this hotel. Not that there is anything wrong with it per se but it's just not fantastic; probably what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. The staff aren't overly friendly or tentative but they do enough. The hotel is clean and the all-inclusive food is alright. Entertainment is alright, nothing special; hotel is relatively clean and there are plenty of facilities. One thing worth mentioning was that we booked all-inclusive when there is really no need; there are no bands or anything and none of the staff ask any questions. If you've booked self-catering, noone would know if you didn't pay for your drinks at the bar or if you go into the food hall during eating times. All in all, alright. Couple of days was long enough, wouldn't want to stay any longer than that at any one time.

Very clean communal areas. Very hard working staff. Maids excellent in communal areas. Poor room cleanliness and service. Rooms small and in need of maintenance and refurbishment. Kettle didn't work, One door was hanging off, Safe not working. Changed rooms in the end. Towels and bedding not changed in 2 weeks. I got my own from reception. Hotel policy is they change every 3 days. Coffee and milk not replenished. Stuff under the bed from previous occupants. Food was average but hot and plentiful - mass produced cafe quality. Bar staff (Denis, Chris, Nasso and Anul) worked very long hours and were always pleasent. Reps (Emma, Ashleigh and James worked their socks off every day doing day and evening entertainment.

One of the best Hotel I have been so far, tidy clean rooms,a Big variety of the food ,, many choices, fresh orange juice and champagne at the breakfast, quality beef chicken and fish at lunch and dinner, love the freshly made pancakes at the breakfast. Five stars quality service, leads by the restaurant manager Marek and Chris at the bar, The a big plus was the Entertainment team from Thomas Cook (Ashley Emma and James) whitch you will see them around the pool morning time and you can enjoy watching thier nice shows night time, A big thanks for Manager Andreas, that you can see him all around the hotel, smiling greeting everyone, I can insure you that he knows everyone by name, solving any issues you would have, thanks for making our stay that nice, will be back ❤️
