just returned from spending two weeks at the Platomare, arrived 10 hours later than planned due to a long delay at Gatwick Airport, arriving at nearly 1.00 in the morning. When we arrived it was as usual to a friendly greeting from all the staff who had heard about the delay and had stayed on to man the bar and... More

I couldn't get booked in here which was really frustrating. I did however return to visit and was welcomed with open arms by the lovely thea and her family. I will make sure I book early for next year. It is the friendliest family run business I have come across in my forty odd years visiting Cyprus.

Yes it is dated but it is also spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful if they tried. The pool is also spotlessly clean and the atmosphere is excellent which means you really don't have to worry about the dated interior and to be honest, I'll take a spotless dated interior over a grubby modern... This was our first trip to Cyprus and we wanted to stay in a smaller hotel. Platomare was a perfect choice. The staff are so friendly and happy to help. There is a lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Our room was plenty big enough with a good kitchen area. The rooms could do with a bit of an... More

We booked here purely because we could not get into the Andreotis hotel in protaras which we stayed in 2 yrs ago, but we thought it would be ok!! We were sadly mistaken, the rooms were grubby, the air con unit looked like it had been dragged from the Ark!! it was placed right in the corner of the room!! which did... More

This is not a hotel for the young and lively but for thoses looking for a peaceful location. Highly recommend and we will be... More

we have just returned from a weeks break at the Platomare hotel. It was a last minute booking and had not been to Cyprus before so was a little anxious but I needn't have worried. Firstly....... the hotel: We arrived very very late after an awful 2 hour delay at Gatwick , a bus full of very tired very grumpy... More

My friend and I wanted a cheap quiet week away. And that's exactly what we got. We wanted to be close to Ayia Napa so we could have a few late nights out if we wanted, but also be able to escape it if we wanted to. Hotel was clean enough for us (and I'm pretty fussy), pool area was... More

We booked through Disabled Holidays and we're given a group discussion floor room initially, which wasn't clean and had signs of dampness. We were swiftly moved to another room in block Brown why Catherine, who was very helpful. The rooms are basic and could really do with a thorough refresh, but the location, weather and above all friendliness of the... More
