Capo Bay is set on Fig Tree Bay, perhaps the most famous beach in Cyprus. Modern, chic and elegantly understated, Capo Bay’s light filled lobby, welcomes our guests. The designers have managed to bring, throughout the Hotel, the colors of the sandy beaches and the gorgeous shades of the Mediterranean Sea. The use of natural materials is obvious in every part of the property; from the oak handmade furniture to the cotton/linen tapestries which create an ambience that calms and relaxes. The hotel is sure to delight you with its shimmering views, its irresistible restaurants with their fusion of flavors, and the tranquil atmosphere that prevails around the hotel.

The Capo Bay Hotel is celebrated for its comprehensive amenities, including diverse dining options, impeccable pools, and a luxurious spa, all set against a beautiful beachfront backdrop. Nestled near Fig Tree Bay, the location is ideal for guests seeking both serenity and proximity to local hotspots. The hotel's spotless environment and stylish ambience receive high marks, while the service is generally lauded despite occasional hiccups.
Rooms are commended for their cleanliness and comfort, though some suggest a modern update. While prices are on the higher side, many feel the experience justifies the cost.

We have stayed at Capo Bay many times over the years, but this time I came alone with my 2 year old daughter. Due to Covid it was a last minute break to get away.
I had booked the standard inland and on arrival I was very kindly upgraded to a sea view room, however I upgraded for a fee to a deluxe sea view and I was not disappointed. The reception and reservations staff are so lovely, professional and helpful, Flora and Maria and the rest of the ladies are a credit to the hotel.
The rooms in the deluxe are modern, so much bigger, the veranda/ balcony is so big with the most beautiful sea views and the bathrooms are big and luxurious. And not forgetting the gorgeous L’Occitaine products that are refreshed daily.
The hotel was really strict on Covid protection and I felt so safe staying with my 2 year old.
The hotel seemed empty but I was told it was at 60% Capacity. The pool loungers get allocated for your whole stay and the pool was empty. We spent most days at the beach as Fig tree bay is the main reason I stay at the hotel.
The breakfast was plentiful and fresh (buffet) with masks and gloves worn. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
We ate at Mamas the pool bar restaurant most days, yes there are a few other restaurants around which are a bit cheaper but the food at Mamas is fresh and big portions. Sava is fantastic, he really looked after my daughter and I, adjusting dishes for her pescatarian diet. He is so friendly and provides great service. I do not normally eat chips, but the chips at Mama’s are out of this world. Sava said they use the cyprus potatoes and they are thickly cut to make them extra delicious.
The hotel was extremely clean, the maids were great and you could literally order anything you wanted from an app on your phone. More towels? Request on phone and they come within 5 mins! Room service order on phone and comes so quick and fresh.
We ate at Koi the japenese restaurant one night, the starters were amazing. We had the platter and everything on it was beautiful. The main courses Pork skewers and Pad Thai were not very authentic and a bit disappointing but we still ate it!
Overall the staff, location, the room and Mamas would make me come back and also recommend to others.
Thank you Capo Bay for another great stay!

This is the second time we've visited Capo Bay and it does not disappoint. The hotel is perfectly situated on Fig Tree Bay where each bed/umbrella costs 2.5 Euros. The strip of hotels is a 10 second walk from the hotel entrance (we'd recommend Molti and Lemongrass!). Breakfast overall is great, lovely outdoor seating area, good variety of foods and you can order lattes, frappes, and iced coffees that are made at the bar and brought to your table. The rooms are okay - nicely furnished, carpets (which isn't for everyone). Although we had a triple room, the balcony could only fit 2 chairs on it. The hotel is quite expensive for what it is, but given the positioning on one of the best beaches in Cyprus, it's worth it.
Regarding Covid - all staff and guests are required to wear masks indoors. This includes at the breakfast buffet and then once you are sat down you can remove your mask and gloves.
Not the usual buzz given the pandemic, but a relaxing quiet holiday nevertheless.

We booked Capo Bay for a winter sun break in early November, many hotels in Protaras were closed for the winter. Pre departure communications from the hotel were excellent, clearly outlining COVID measures and offering ability to check in ahead of arrival. We got an upgrade to side sea view room, which was light with working a/c and all usual amenities, including bottled water. Beds were comfortable, but given the time of year, could have benefitted from the addition of a duvet style blanket, even if it’s is kept in wardrobe. Pool area is vast, with two pools and allocated sun bed system was not in force due to low occupancy of the hotel. We were on a bed & breakfast rate, breakfast was adequate but not hugely extensive. Mamas restaurant was fantastic for lunch with usual choices of Greek grilled dishes, salads etc. We did not try Koi Asian themed restaurant, though menu leaned heavily towards sushi, so ate out for dinner each evening.
Location is directly on Fig Tree Bay, which has very shallow waters and a small stretch of beach with sunloungers, but these are not exclusive to the hotel.
Decor of hotel is light and spacious, though room cleanliness could have been improved slightly when we arrived.
What gives this hotel its 4 stars are the staff. Right from check in to departure, all staff are helpful, friendly and down to earth. The manager, Pavel runs a very tight ship and is very chatty with guests, showing a genuine interest in their visit, providing regular walk around and hints/tips on things to see and do. It is these small touches which make a difference and keep guests returning. Superb job Pavel and team.

We have been at Capo Bay hotel for 3 days now, and I couldn’t wait to post about our wonderful experience so far.
I must admit we were a little hesitant about how our stay would be in the midst of corona times, but we needn’t have worried at all. The hotel has clearly gone to great lengths to ensure guests and staff are safe, ranging from contactless check in to mandatory gloves at the glass-protected buffet to properly distanced lounge chairs by the pool/gardens to extensive room cleaning.
The hotel is simply beautiful with art installations everywhere. The room we were given has a spectacular pool and sea view from its huge terrace. We feel thoroughly spoiled sitting out there at sunset in our hotel bathrobes, admiring the boats sailing by. The concept of reserved beach chairs is brilliant, and being able to walk from the pool to the beach in 30 seconds is such a luxury!
But what really compelled me to write this review is the exceptional kindness and warmth of the staff. From Eleni in reception to Andreas at breakfast to Kostas at the pool to the lovely gentleman in Mamas at lunch (I haven’t yet gotten your name :)), everyone goes above and beyond to greet you each time they see you (they all remember us day after day!) and take a few minutes to make you feel welcome. Another example: we arrived after breakfast closed on our first morning, having mixed up the times, but rather than turn us away Andreas quickly assured us we would not go hungry and brought us heaping plates of fruit, breads and cheeses/meat.
Perhaps one could say they have a little more time now that guest numbers are down, but I suspect this is just how they do business here at Capo Bay all the time. This kind of thing comes from having a truly service-minded culture. Thank you for taking such good care of us in these uncertain times! And I hope the hotel is soon full of happy visitors again.

Stayed here as a family of 4 in 2 rooms as we attended a family wedding at the hotel for a group of 30. Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at. We received a friendly welcome on our arrival as well as a upgrade to seaview rooms, probably as the hotel wasn't busy at all.
We opted to take advantage of the dine around vouchers which work out at €120 for 6 meals, so cost us €480 but unfortunately we soon discovered that they weren't any benefit for us as there was only one restaurant open at night which mainly done fish and as each voucher is worth €20 each we weren't going to spend €80 on lunch so got a refund so we could eat elsewhere.
One issue we had with hotel was the price of eating and drinking there. We paid €110 for a meal for 4 but ate out the next day for €53. A iced coffee is €5.20 where the fig tree cafe next door is €3.20. A toastie here is €12 where at the only fools and horses pub it's €4.
The rooms are nice but not the biggest and room service attends every day to make beds and change towels etc. The balcony was narrow which was a pain and the bathroom door was glass which we didn't like if you had to use the toilet. You get free air conditioning and a safe but our safe failed 3 times on our stay so did it in other rooms of family who were staying with us.
We ate breakfast there everyday as there was a wide selection. You are asked to wear a mask and gloves while serving your food but that was all fine. We did however struggle on occasions to get served a tea or coffee from the staff as you have to get their attention and believe this is easier said than done. Every morning you are bombarded by sparrows while you eat and if you dare to leave your food to get something then be prepared to have a family of birds eating your breakfast on your return. Why they couldn't put a screen around the dining area I don't know.
The pool was amazing as well as the surrounding area. You get allocated lounger which is yours for your stay. It was empty due to the times we're in so don't know what it would be like in busier times.
You are located in a great spot. On top of an amazing beach and you have the strip on your doorstep with loads of amazing restaurants. I never had one bad meal anywhere.
Would gladly return again to this hotel as it truly is a great hotel, it's only the food and drink prices we thought were expensive.

Thank you dear Darren, for sharing the detailed review and great rating above. Numbers are important to the accountants and do matter to us all. What matters thought the most for my self and all the Capo Bay team, is the hospitality and the experience offered to our guests. Once our mission, is completed, we take great pride. We go out of our way and do that extra mile , for each one of our guests. In your case, we are happy we managed to get them video messages to be presented to the wedding reception. Even our staff had tears in the eyes! Be blessed with health and happiness and if you ever back in Protaras, do stay with us or drop by for a drink. Yeia mas! We stayed for two nights at Capo Bay whilst visiting family in Cyprus and we wished we had booked longer.
Upon arrival we were upgraded from a sea view deluxe to a suite, it was a beautiful room with two floors, a balcony with a beautiful view and a hot tub on the lower floor leading directly to the pool area. The room had lovely toiletries and lots of little gifts.
The hotel grounds and pool is well kept and very relaxing, the pool side bar staff were great and the cocktails were the best we had during our stay.
The beach is literally on the front of the hotel, and the sea is crystal clear.
The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are all so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Shout out to Nikolas and Yiota at the pool bar.
We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay.

I admit I was a little nervous to travel during these corona times, but I was quickly disapproved due to this hotel!
The staff are very respectful and helpful when it comes to this. I really appreciated being able to use the same sun bed, but also greatful for the pool staff to re sanitize them when asked.
The rooms are clean, and very nice, but I must admit I spent most of my day by the pool!
We ate lunch almost everyday at mama’s and absolutely loved it. One thing I would like to also mention, is the vegetarian options at both the restaurant and breakfast. It might be overlooked by others, but as a vegetarian it is greatly appreciated!

Just returned from a week at Protaras in Cyprus staying at the Capo Bay Hotel.
Friends suggested we try here and they were spot on.
Location is superb ..... right on Fig Tree Bay .... beach and swimming/snorkelling is unbeatable in Europe in my mind.
The hotel is outstanding in every way. The rooms roomy, airy and well decorated.
The staff could not have been more helpful and despite the problems they faced with covid restrictions made our holiday in every aspect.
The breakfast selection is the finest Iv'e seen anywhere in the world, and Iv'e travelled a bit.
The swimming pools are excellent too as are the grounds.
You get free designated loungers and shades for your stay in well maintained gardens which is a bonus in itself.
Loungers and shades are available at a small cost on the public beach but with the beach a matter of yards away we settled for the hotel facilities complete with pool bar.
Would certainly go again and suggest that if you want 30c in October this is the place to head for.
Top class dining also available in ambient surroundings but there are also some excellent places nearby to eat and bars to drink in within 5-10 mins walk.
5* at a sensible price.

Location 10/10
Right across Fig Tree Bay and right next to Protaras’s main street.
Pool 9/10
Very nice pool suitable for all ages and swimming levels
Food 4/10
The food at mama’s is tasteless. You’ll find much better food 2mins away.
Staff 3/10
The staff there seems to be doing their job just to get on with it and like nothing about it.
Not that work is pleasant anyway… but staff is trained at 5 star hotels to act on it and act well.
You are rushed at breakfast. You are rushed at checkout and most of the staff only speaks greek which is very confusing and disrupts service.
Price 2/10
The hotel is overpriced for nothing to be honest. They don’t give water daily (which is a norm in 5 star hotels globally)
I mean they charge you for cover change so what do you expect.
Food is double if not triple from what you’ll find 2mins away.
Room 5/10
We had a triple bed side sea view room which is really nice in terms of view but quite expensive for its space, cleanliness and facilities.
The 3rd bed (sofa bed) we had was 30 degrees crooked upwards in the middle and the manager there seemed to think that is very normal in a 5 star hotel.
The minibar is empty although price list was there.
Room was not cleaned properly daily. I mean dust was everywhere and you felt your bed in grainy from sand all over the sheets at night.
Overall this hotel oversells itself by the looks of it and the location it is in. But service is way out of the budget your spending and you would find much better rooms at a 3-stars ibis
Right across Fig Tree Bay and right next to Protaras’s main street.
Pool 9/10
Very nice pool suitable for all ages and swimming levels
Food 4/10
The food at mama’s is tasteless. You’ll find much better food 2mins away.

Dear Getaway, We truly value the fact that you gave our location 10 out of 10 as well as the high score of the pool facilities. While we wish this was the case for the rest of the comments, we did not manage to win your positive opinion. We are really sorry. Would you please allow me to make a comment about "the bad" staff? Every single of us takes pride in being in the hospitality sector and we enjoy every second of it. We love what we do and is not just a job, is a passion. We are nearly two hundred colleagues, with the majority of us, being fluent in several languages, both spoken and written, particularly in English. Given the fact that we embrace diversity and we all come from different countries, most of us, don't actually speak Greek at all, never mind being the only language that we speak. While we wish you were amongst our loyal guests, who are happy and revisit us for so many times, over the years, we also know for fact, that we can't please everyone. Wishing you a lovely weekend ahead, I remain. Best Katerina Soulioti Zarballa Public Relations Manager

Very nice hotel!
Very friendly and helpful staff all round. Nice bar and lounge areas and very chilled vibe to the place. Good selection of eateries through the day and evening, although the Koi Restaurant is on the pricey side when there are far better places to eat within walking distance. Our two floor apartment with outside veranda Jacuzzi as well as the whirl pool bath and walk in wet room shower being the secondary bathroom, we’re all clean, in good condition and all cleaned spotlessly each day.
The all inclusive breakfast was also a nice change from the usual breakfast buffets again with a great selection of freshly topped up and nicely prepared fresh produce.
The hotel facilities have something for everyone. For the price of staying here, I can highly recommend this hotel.
Congratulations to the management and staff for a great hotel experience and providing fantastic value for money.

I don’t know as I haven’t been yet, I go tomorrow
Yes for the room yes but not in the hotel area
I don’t think Capo Bay does AI. To be honest there is no reason to go AI as at the foot of the strip with nice bars and restaurants all around it.
