Superior twin room with sea view and balcony. Very comfortable and well maintained. We had a couple of little snags when we arrived, but reported them to reception who arranged them to be fixed promptly. Bed is seriously comfortable and rooms were cleaned daily.

All staff were very, very good, efficient and although friendly weren’t imposing. Whether cleaners, reception staff or restaurant staff, they always stopped for a smile and a “hello”

There were activities that you could get involved with but were easy to tune out from if you preferred to snooze on your sunbed. There is entertainment in the bar area in the evenings with music that can be heard in all rooms, but this goes silent at 23:00 promptly. Towels were available from the spa for use on the sunbeds which are around the pool but also spread across a quiet lawned area that overlooks the sea which you can walk to in a couple of mins. A gentleman on his sunbed near us started to play his music through a speaker but was politely asked to turn it down, the music from the bar is gentle and maintains a quiet relaxed atmosphere.

Really close to the sea, there’s a series of small beaches along the coast that you easily walk along, or you can even swim along.

Less than 10 mins walk from a handy bus route that will take you into Protaris Town (6min), Konnos Beach (15 mins) or even Ayia Napa for a fixed €1.50 or €2.50 at night.

Buffet food was very varied, good veggie options. Not fine dining but tasty and enjoyable.

We both agreed we’d definitely return to the Pernera Beach Hotel.

Check in was quick and smooth, all hotel staff are very friendly and helpful; the rooms were lovely, modern and clean with a great sea view, well worth it.

The food was very good in the daily restaurant, and excellent in the two speciality restaurants. Unfortunately, you can only book each one for a one time only, during your stay, which is shame if you are staying there for two weeks.

The pool and surrounding areas are very clean and nicely kept grounds. One problem is the sun bed situation as it is a free for all mad dash at 7am every day with people running out and reserving the beds with towels, some even ending in arguments over who got there first, very amusing to watch from the balcony each day.

During our two weeks it was hard to find a bed around the pool areas, I think it must be even worse in the peak season and when the hotel is running back at full capacity.

It would be good to have a policy of removing towels after an hour or two if not in use, as this would give others a chance, we would often see beds reserved with nobody using them for most of or all of the day.

There is a nice terrace area with a bar, but sadly this is the only bar, so it’s a long walk for those staying around the pool or grass areas, or even further for the people with rooms with swim up pools, if they wished to get a drink. There is no waiter service around the outside area unless you are sat on the terrace.

It would be nice to see the outdoor restaurant area between the pools, made into another bar area, as it would be a more central location for everyone.

There is a small beach area nearby, however it is a public beach and the sun beds are chargeable, it is difficult to enter into the sea as the sand was like quicksand as you walked into the water, and there are many rocks to navigate around, so we did not spend any time here.

The entertainment in the evenings was sometimes good and other times dire! The children’s disco for an hour each evening from 8pm with the same old songs, became very tiresome, maybe this should be held in another area of the hotel, as those without children do not wish to hear this when trying to sit and enjoy an evening with friends.

Outside the hotel there are shops and restaurant’s a short walk away and Pernera town a little bit further away, but walkable.

The hotel Wi-Fi is very good and the hotel app is useful to book the spa and the speciality restaurants.

Overall, we had a good time and would come back if some changes are made.

Stayed here for 10 nights in September and would definitely return and recommend to others. We are well travelled people having stayed at some high end establishments around the world but I can honestly say this is an excellent 4* hotel. We went with no real expectations as we got a bargain price, but we were impressed with our stay overall. If you're expecting grand interiors and designer rooms then you are at the wrong place as you have to remember this is only a 4*. On that note our room was clean and comfortable and we were lucky to have a great view too at no additional cost We couldn't fault the food at all throughout the whole stay; the a la carte's are really good too. (Fillet steak especially) Also, there is a wide selection of drinks which were all great. The location is lovely as you can walk 10 minutes to the harbour or 30 minutes along to fig tree bay and Protaras. All of the staff were so friendly. Didn't catch a lot of names but Emiliya, Tom, Bobby, Lucky, Maria and of course George; always so happy and excellent customer service. We only really had 3 niggles with this hotel. The first is the sunbeds located on the grass near to thalassa restaurant. A lot of them need replacing. The second is the entertainment or lack of. We've travelled numerous times since the whole covid debacle and understand this may have an impact but it seemed they just relied on guests singing karaoke most of the time. The third is unless you are awake early you will not get a sunbed around the pool in the sun. Personally we were fine with this as we preferred the grass overlooking the sea. Those three small issues aside this is honestly a lovely place for a holiday. If you are on a late flight home you can request a changing room (private shower and changing area) at reception the morning of your departure. We would definitely return to Pernera Beach:)

We spent 2 weeks here and have to say we loved it here. It's in a great location next to 2 beaches. You do have to pay for the sunbed and brollies at €2.50 on the beaches but the hotel is beach front located so we didn't bother and just walked the minute down the path to have a dip. The sea is so clear and was pleasantly surprised at the fish we saw whilst snorkeling as didn't expect it in the Mediterranean. We couldn't fault the food or drink. Some reviews have commented that it's repetitive but we didn't find this at all. All the staff went over and above to help and are all so friendly. We had the honeymoon package at the spa which was €260. It's a 2 hour session for a couple and we'll worth it. I then had another 3 massages for an extra €120 and intend to do the same next year it's that good. Despona worked wonders for me. We had a suite room 530 and couldn't have wished for a better room. We used the al a carte restaurant and the food and service was perfect.
It isn't really a hotel for children as they only have a 30 minute virtual DJ disco on an evening. There is a very small pool for them bit that's it. There are a few bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk and if you walk to the left for 10 minutes there is a little harbour where you can book boat trips from €10. Don't book on the app or with your rep. We did both and the cheaper options were just as good. The shop in the hotel is not over priced. The hotel entertainment had a few good tribute acts on this could be improved. The parrot show was on 3 times in 2 weeks. We headed on the bus to Protaras for a couple of evenings 10 minute drive where there's plenty of night life. The bus also takes you to Ayia Napa for €1.50 which we did and spent the day on Nissi beach. Stunning but one day was enough for us.
Advice is take wet shoes. Not essential but helps avoid stubbing your toes on the rocks, towels on sunbeds not allowed till 7am but never had a problem
Negatives entertainment could be improved and al a carte should be offered twice when staying for 2 weeks.
I Also emailed the hotel before arriving and Maria Constantino replied promptly.
No real complaints and off to book this hotel again for next year

Just arrived home from a weeks stay at the pernera beach hotel read all the reviews before we went and here is our opinion.

We have stayed in protaros many times so thought we would have a change and give pernera a try no comparison protaros is the best. Pernera has suffered lots of empty shops, bars and restaurants and big hotels just sitting empty so the approach to the hotel wasn’t good.

On arrival we had a nice welcome and our sea view rooms were great nice rooms good size balcony and all very clean.

This hotel was all inclusive so we had first meal in the evening food very nice good choice l cannot see how people wouldn’t be happy with the food here. We tried both speciality restaurants food was great as well as the service thank you to all the staff who work very hard in the restaurants.

Main pool wasn’t great it was not the cleanest lots of floating blow up toys left in the pool we used the adults only pool which was very clean and much better than the main pool.

Lots of sun beds but if you want to be in the sun all day there are only limited areas and if your not up at 6am you have no chance of a sun bed l was up at 7am every morning and struggled to get a bed in fact in a whole week never got round the pool front row . Crazy.

Pool snack bar food not good in fact the bar all round was not great, some staff were great but there was also a fair share of miserable staff, no table or round the pool service this area needs improvement. A 4 star hotel shouldnt be serving drinks in small flimsy plastic disposable cups if you asked for a larger good quality beaker you had to sit at a table not by the pool this didn’t make sense.

Now we come to the entertainment the hotel needs to look at this and re think. The acts were not good, bingo was hit and miss and the staff running the entertainment didn’t have a clue poor kids running around the stage nothing organised for them how hard can it be to put on a mini disco with some good tunes and some lights. Come on pernera beach you can do better . We would however like to say how fantastic Rag and Bone man tribute act was very professional great guy wow have him every night and the reviews would be 10 out of 10.

This hotel has so much going for it with some tweaks to the bar, entertainment and sort out the reservation of sun beds this could see more returning guests.

On arrival my wife and myself were convinced right from the entrance that we were going to love this hotel, the reception staff were lovely and welcoming with very little delay in getting us booked in and directions to our room, Room 305 side sea view.
The room was spotlessly clean and because it was early evening we saw the fabulous view of the lit up pools below and the gentle noise of the waves. The rooms have smart tv,s with a good selection of English channels incl. ITV!Rooms have been renovated, shower took a little working out but was great to use leaving us with a refreshing feeling.
The hotel location is more sea shore located rather than beach side however there are 2 beach bays within 5 minutes walk with beach beds at a small charge if you want to walk further along the coast path which goes for miles then theres lots to see and excursions.
The hotel food is nothing short of excellant, every meal is buffet and also during your stay AL e carte is included.
I,m afraind to say that because our stay was early in the season it would unfair for me to criticise the entertainment as it was not really in full swing, like wise I,m afraid the bar staff were not imprssive in their service. Again this could well have been because of new staff or because of the season just opening we did not suufer in getting drinks though! There were good selection of cocktails included in A.I.

This hotel is a really lovely, friendly and relaxing place to holiday. We arrived here mid September for 11 nights, weather was beautiful, hot and sunny everyday. We booked superior sea view rooms which were lovely, views over the whole complex and sea were stunning. The rooms are spacious with modern bathrooms and very comfy beds. The food was very good in the buffet and also the a’ la carte restaurants, always lots of choice and the food was always very flavoursome. The restaurant overlooks the sea which is a beautiful setting. There is always a good choice of restaurants in the Protaras which is a 7 minute cab ride, or if you fancy a walk along the coastal path around 30 minutes, lovely walk, well lit and also some restaurants along the way, and there is a few restaurants and bars outside the hotel in the Pernera area.
The pools were good, we always sunbathed by the adult pool which was nice but sun beds were virtually all gone by 7.30-7.45 am! There is also a large grass area overlooking the sea where you can always get a sun bed if your not getting up early. The beach adjacent to the hotel is a small bay, lovely soft sand and the sea water is so clear you can see to the seabed, great for swimming and snorkelling.
Evenings were lovely here, great just to have a drink and listen to some music, karaoke, good tribute acts, Rod Stewart and Amy Whinehouse, we’re good.
The location of this hotel is good if you don’t want to be in a busy town, but easy to get to Protaras (7 mins) and Ayia Napa (25 mins by cab).
All in all a great holiday, thank you to all the lovely staff here, we will be back and
definitely recommend a holiday here.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Pernera Beach Hotel in September 2020. With the COVID pandemic occurring were doubtful how our stay would be but were not let down! The staff at the hotel went the extra mile to ensure we felt safe: they wore masks, hand sanitisers located throughout the hotel, and they did their absolute best to keep socially distant when possible. Our room was clean on arrival and was kept in excellent condition by the hotel cleaners. The meals were nice and there was a wide variety throughout the week we stayed. It must be noted that three members of staff went the extra mile to ensure we really did have the best experience: Petra and Nicholas who worked serving at the bar during the day and night, they were both happy and always kept us laughing the whole time; and Stavros who works on the front reception in the night who would do anything and everything to make sure we were okay!

All in all, we rated this hotel highly and can’t wait to return (once this pandemic is over) and see Protaras and the hotel in its normal glory

We had a superior sea-view room in the middle block, the room was spacious with a fabulous view overlooking the pool and sea, the 3 doors slide open onto one giving an open plan room including the balcony, there’s a fridge in the room with 1 complimentary bottle of water, this is not replaced but can be re-filled at the water station. Tv stations for Brits are BBC, ITV1 & ITV2. Coffee/tea supplied.
The adult pool is quieter than the family pool and is strictly for 18 year olds upwards, however, the area surrounding the pool is not, the loungers are in high demand, and here lies the problem and the reason I’ve given 4. our first few days were a breeze, popping down 10 minutes before the pool area opens (strictly no access before 8) then the school holidays begin and the large wedding parties arrive, 6:30am the queue begins to form, it’s on your marks, the whistle blows at 8 and run, some guests have fallen, it’s ridiculous.
The food was pretty good for AI 4* the lunch being my personal favourite, there is a conscious effort by the management to stop food waste by giving smaller plates and I applaud them for that as it seems to work, no huge plates of uneaten food.
The water stations are brilliant and should be implemented across all hotels imo, I recommend you take a reusable PP plastic bottle/container to fill up. The bars serve drinks in reusable plastic glasses, there is an option to purchase branded drinks otherwise it’s local. The bar next to the adults pool is central to both pools but this one closed often for staff breaks, this shouldn’t happen as the other bar is the other side of the family pool, not far but when you’ve got 4 drinks and kids running around, it’s an accident waiting to happen.
The animation team are good, Andrei is exceptional.
The strip is about 45 minute pleasant walk along the beach, bus back is €2.
The beach in front of the hotel is rocky so you’ll need beach shoes, however there is a lovely beach to the right side of the hotel which is also the view from the Buffet restaurant, it does get busy though 2 loungers and umbrella are approx €7.50 per day.

Overall: lovely hotel room, nice enough food, good pools, the loungers are padded, the Al le carte restaurants are superb, the staff very good, the only let down is the pool lounger run but this shouldn’t be a problem out of school holidays as there’s plenty.
