We have stayed in that lovely hotel for 3 days. Accomodation was really clean and perfectly prepared. Room itself was big enough and it keeps the style of an old castle adapted to modern enviroment. Restaurant served really delicious food and we did not wait for a long time, even if it was almost full. Surroundings of this castle is one of the best place in the Czech Republic, it is worth to see it. We will definitely return to this hotel.

It was really awesome to stay in a castle for a few days. Our car broke down on arrival but the hotel staff was really friendly and helped us jump start the motor and directed is to a garage. Restaurant is good and breakfast is generous. We saw people working on renovation of the castle so maybe it will be even nicer in a few months.

Very grand building overlooking the rock formations with far reaching views. Lovely terrace for drinks/food after a days walking. Restaurant served very tasty food on both nights we stayed. Room was very large with views and large modern bathroom. Receptionist very friendly when we arrived and this continued with the waitresses in the restaurant. A very special location with lots of beautiful walks nearby.

I didn't write this sitting in the kitchen sink (***pls excuse the literary reference - I couldn't help myself***) but spent a night in this castle hotel after hiking about 20 km from Sobotka. We were pretty thrilled to be staying in a castle towering over dramatic sandstone rocks. Check-in was very pleasant - the guy at reception was very friendly. No lifts as you may expect in an old building, which was fine for us, but could bother some. Corridors were sprawling and looked rather faded. Our room was very large but had dated decor. Beds had a very comfortable mattress and nice bed linen. The bathroom was modern though. There was a mini bar but no drinks facilities in the room. Theoretically there was wifi but it didn't work for us. The restaurant turned out nice food for dinner and the staff were really lovely. Breakfast was pretty decent - continental staples and some hot food too. It was nice to be able to have a tea or grog before dinner - shame they had run out of cake. You can catch some nice views of the area from the castle terrasse and the mousehole rock formation next to the castle is worth a few minutes of your time. Had a nice and unique stay here!
