We booked this trip as it sounded so wonderful and we were so taken with the stunning photos of the resort. We arrived after a fairly lengthy days travel to be greeted by less than friendly staff (overworked and probably bored of complaints) We were handed a poor, photocopied map of the igloo accommodation area and sent on our way....

Brought my mum to Kakslauttanen for her 50th as seeing the Northern Lights is on her bucket list & I was sold by all the photos of the igloos that appear on Facebook. Booking is extremely difficult as you can only book through emailing the hotel directly & they can take a week to reply. Then it may be in...

We stayed in glass igloos for a night. The experience is indeed once in a lifetime experience as it is far from all the noise and close to nature. The igloos being very small and far from the reception it is not possible for one to drag the luggage however it is indeed very picturesque a worth for a night's...

We really enjoyed our time at this resort and were very lucky to have been able to catch the Northern Lights 3 nights out of the 4 nights we stayed at. We stayed at the new Kelo-Glass cabins and it was totally worth the price. This is a much better option compared to the smaller glass igloos for two as...

My wife and I had an absolutely fascinating time at the Arctic Resort! We spent one night in a glass igloo and 2 nights in the Honeymoon cabin (which had its own bath tub, separate shower, and sauna). It was marvelous! The people were great and the experiences were sometimes calm and yet sometimes, exciting. We drove dogsleds (about 8...

This has been the most incredible experience of my life. From the amazing kelo cabins, to the backdrop for the resort. To top it off, when the lights appeared, I died and went to heaven. The two staff who need commending are Lina from Estonia and Eva from Bulgaria (hello!)at front of house. We stayed 5 days- I would not...

We really enjoyed this resort! We had the chance to stay in both East and West Villages. Each has its own appeal and charm and some downsides. East village had a more intimate feel. The dining area is much smaller, the tables placed closer together. The décor is not as elaborate and there is no actual lobby to speak of....

What a fantastic place, it was amazing we stayed in the wood cabin with the glass igloo joined to it, it was an amazing cabin, the staff where brilliant, and very friendly and would do anything for you, we went on the skimobiles and the husky sledge it was fantastic, and the staff again where brilliant, there is nothing I...

The experience there was amazing... There are two villages (East and West) and we spent time in both of there. You can move from Saariselka to Kakslauttanen via public bus (10min 5€ in 2 persons more or less) and between villages with they car which has timing to go on the other village (each 1hour) To the West for the...

I had falling in love with this place at the first sight. The resort is located in the remote part of Kakslauttanen, which made its so special with a nice and peaceful resort. There are east village and west village, of cause, I choose to stay at the west one because it is quite an easy access from the parking...
