We had a fantastic time in this hotel and would definitely recommend staying here. The glass igloos are magical, and are a great experience in the summer as well. Even reindeers were walking outside our igloo! The breakfast was delicious, and we felt welcomed there in the morning. Two minor suggestments for improvements: - The hotel was quite empty, maybe 5 cottages were occupied, so it was weird that all 5 were housed in neighbouring cottages. It would’ve been nice to be spaced out even a bit more. - The shower would’ve been a bit more convenient with a small shelf for your own toiletries

Thank You for a great stay at Northern Lights Village. The cabin was beautiful and clean. The location is good, nice and quiet but still close to Saariselkä. Loved to watch the reindeers outside our window :) Customers service and staff were friendly and helpful, can definitely recommend!

Onnistunut majoitusvalinta. Mökki oli upea ja jää varmasti kokemuksena mieleen. Kaikki toimi muuten moitteetta, mutta suihkukaivo ei vetänyt kunnolla. Aamiainen oli oikein maittava! Voimme suositella paikkaa. Successful visit in Northern lights Village. The cottage was amazing and memorable. Everything worked well despite the fact the shower well did not quite function properly. The breakfast was really tasty! We can recommend the place.

We spent 3 days at the fabulous Northern Light village just before the Christmas. Accommodation - beautiful. We loved the glass sealing above our bed! Truly blissfull experience. The buffet dinner was nice, food at the breakfast was freah and good quality! Staff was helpful. What was surpricing was that excluding the bar area, nearly none of the staff spoke Finnish... Truly a winter wonderland (we were super lucky with the snow as well)! Some improvent ideas: - the resort is really nice and athmosphere is calm and zen. But the reseption area is not like that at all.. Some people were playing playstation with really loud voice (the resort has one at the reception area), many people were coming / going for activities so it was a hassle. I would try to organize this area differently as the ambiance over there is chaotic. - raindeer day. This was excellent - 10 points to Jouni & his team! However we were supposed to eat at the smaller hut during our raindeer day but the plan changed suddenly and we were sent to their main buffet restaurant which did not have the same ambiance as the smaller hut. The reason for that was that they had another group of tourists coming for another activity that the guides were not aware of... So this was a disappointment - aurora alerts. These did not work (ipad in our room). We got a small ”beeper” that started to beep randomly. We returned that to the reception and learned that some tourists had woken up during the night when these beepers started to make noise with no reason (no auroras) - drones. This was really annoying as some tourists used these above other peoples rooms. They should forbidden these as this ruins the privacy of the guests! All in all, we loved our stay and would go back. However there are some things to approve.

This is the most amazing place we have been yet! It truly is a Winter Wonderland. We still miss the snow crunching under our boots as we walked for breakfast. The white beautiful snow everywhere. The rooms are just lovely, with your own bathroom, little kitchenette and a comfy bed. The glass roof is amazing and we did't see the Aurora lights, but we had a clear night Sky with the stars out, it was magical. The breakfast was lovely and lots of gluten free options. The dinner was good but we got a bit bored with it, and there is the town of Saariselka very close with lots of restaurants.
