We travelled from Australia and stayed 4 nights in the first week of January. There was plenty of snow and the place just looked magical with the snow in the trees and the roads. We had an Aurora cabin on the top road - recommend that you pick a cabin in row 1 - 20 as it is

We initially booked an ice suite and were looking forward to it. When we checked in we were told we could not go to the ice suite until 9pm. A woman on the phone had told us that we could initially check in at 1:30pm. Unfortunately I caught a horrible cold halfway through our

Great trip for a our family of four. The cabins made it extremely easy for the kids to be able to play in the snow on their own and whenever they wanted. We chose this place for the "glass roof" cabins and they were as advertised. Comfortable and no issues. We also chose

You can book a transfer to Saariselka, bus stop to Rovaniemi, for 5€ per person, transfer is usually 20-30 min before bus departure and it takes 5-7 min to bus stop. Walking with luggage is too much hassle. Or booking taxi.

It's about 20 miles south of the Inari airport and NLV has their own shuttle. Our flight was the last one of the day and their driver took us right to our cabin. Totally worth it.

Hello, I have uploded a wonderful application on my mobile called AURORA and another one called AURORA FORECTS and I keep getting notices since my trip and I am surprised that you can see Aurora in sariselka the past week almost on daily basis after midnight, so check this and I bet you will be lucky.

This is the reply I got from the hotel (they are really helpful and quick to respond to emails) "If you are traveling in the highest holiday season aprox 20.Dec -> 4.Jan, we warmly recommend to book the activities in advance. It is not mandatory but the availability for last minute bookings might be poor. You can book the activities online or via email, both ways are suitable 😊" And re clothing, they said they provide: snow boots, socks, overalls, helmet, balaclava and thick gloves for your whole stay. There is info in their FAQ about what they suggest you bring with you :)

I didn't book a package deal but directly with the hotel. The hotel rates actually include breakfast and dinner, as well as warm clothing, cross country skis, and snowshoes! Activities were the extras that you needed to pay for - you could probably find cheaper activities elsewhere but it was just convenient.

"I think every room is great"
"Choose a cabin in row 1 - 20 next to the forest - more private"
"Back row of cabins is near the woods! Farther walk to the lodge, but nicer views."
"Our aurora cabin number 2 was a bit far away(350 metres) from the reception and restaurant but we liked it because it was more remote"
"Love our cabin next to the forest at the end of the row, cabin 21"
$289 - $945 (Based on Average Rates for a Standard Room)
