Quirky Hotels, Great View
NUMBER OF ROOMS
No matter where I travel I look for small, stylish hotels that fit the ultimate definition of boutique. This hotel is all that and more. Perfect location, great food, stylish decor, spacious rooms, perfect service. We arranged our dates to fit their availability because I wanted to make sure I could stay there. Itacare is filled with less expensive pousadas and this is one of the few hotels in its class. Make sure to stay if you’re lucky enough to travel to this part of the world!
We traveled to Brazil for a wedding and we stayed the first 3 days at Villa Barracuda. What a wonderful place with 9 rooms. The rooms were very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. The hotel very quaint and felt like u were living in your own house. Every staff member was friendly and very happy to be around. They advised us on where to go and what to see. The food was delicious and very fresh.. fish was caught daily & fruits and vegetables were brought in daily. We recommend doing the boat ride thru mangroves to the waterfalls. The hike to the four beaches was just beautiful. A must see. We would definitely return and stay here again. Fantastic place to stay!
We loved our five-day stay at Vila Barracuda. The staff are very friendly, especially Clariane, Belém, and Tia Gil. The space is like staying at a friend’s beach house, if your friend was an interior designer. The soundtrack is also amazing, we never stayed at a hotel with such consistently good music. From the hotel it’s a close walk to the urban beaches, including a great place to watch the sunset. We divided our time between relaxing poolside and exploring the area. Vila Barracuda arranged two excursions for us, one to visit the four rural beaches and another to hike from Jeribucaçu to the Usina waterfall. Both tours were with a driver and private guide. The tours were a highlight of our trip and we highly recommend doing them with a guide, as he could explain the local flora/fauna and history. Bring tennis shoes if you plan to walk the beach trails. Definitely try the on-site restaurant, even if you don’t stay at the hotel. The chef is amazing and cooks fresh fish daily. We had the ceviche, moqueca, grilled fish with vegetables, and papaya Creme brûlée. Everything was delicious and we ended up having dinner there twice because the price/quality ratio was very good. Daily breakfast included made-to-order tapiocas and omelettes, as well as fruits and homemade cakes. We hope to return again soon! …
Vila Barracuda was an amazing place to stay. We will definitely return. The hotel was warm, inviting, and beautiful. My husband, three kids, and I stayed here for four nights on our first trip to Bahia. I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was so welcoming and wonderful. The hotel was airy, spacious and beautiful. The hotel arranged exceptional excursions every day. It was a paradise away from home.
We had the best time! The rooms are wonderful, the food is amazing and the people are so kind! I would definitely always recommend it! It has a wonderful view and feels like a family Hotel. We loved it and hope to come back!
