Pro - Unique decoration, it's like we're in Disneyland or something. All the things are mixed and match oddly but perfectly together somehow - Near the airport, like 10 mins away - There's a video line connect to your front door of your villa, so it's pretty safe. You can see who's out there - Good food at room service, pretty high price but worth it - Good unique view from the private pool Con - We stayed only a night there and need to headed out early in the morning, they prepared us breakfast box, but it's the weirdest looking combination I would say; water melon, crab meat, salad, dumpling? - We had confirmed a car pick up but they forgot our order, however they did come quickly to get us in 20 mins so that's ok - We didn't open the door at all in the evening but a little bit in the day time, not even leave it open cause there's a sign not to, again the mosquito were there in the bedroom, but they also offer you a mosquito cream by the bedside - You can hear the airplane from the room, but it was not that bad to us

We had an overnight stay in Bangkok but didn't want to travel into town. We decided to stay at Suvarnabhumi airport in this very unique resort. It sits on a 6 hectares piece of land, featuring quite a spectacular lake (we noticed swans floating around), on the border of which the large Kohlanta Restaurant is located (for outdoors and indoors dining). It's a spectacular complex with red pagoda type roofs and triangular objects. Fenced-off by a security gate is this resort which had been created later by the same owner, some 5 years ago, featuring 27 private villa's, yet another (smaller) restaurant, a pool area, a meeting room and a watch tower, from where the guests can observe planes landing and taking off. Some of the villa's are located on the lake side, whilst others are situated right next to the landing strip, where we were housed in a very large and ornate villa, featuring a private outdoor sun deck, large seating area, separated from an unusual very high ceiling brickwork circular bed room (hardly any noise comes through). Spectacular to be able to see the planes landing from the bathtub. Earplugs were provided but not really needed. The resort is housing the owners huge personal antiques and arts collection, quite spectacular to see. Very comfy (twin) beds, excellent breakfast buffet, and free shuttle to the (closeby) airport departures hall. An interesting overnight experience, quite different from any other standard airport hotel! Love it or hate it, we highly recommend this unusual resort if you have an overnight airport stay.

Our accommodation is a little villa - it is very private and not overlooked. We stayed one night before flying home from Bangkok airport. The hotel was clean and tidy, although some may find it overly ornate in style. The hotel is unique and unlike other hotels so we enjoyed the more unusual accommodation. However, we did not enjoy the lack of hot water in the morning and had cold showers brrr. We arrived late and needed dinner and was given a table by the lake. We were the only couple there so it was very romantic and quite honestly we didn't mind the planes flying over as we deliberately chose to be near the airport. We enjoyed our dinner and saw swans floating in the lake - it was a nice ending to our holiday in Thailand. We had a good breakfast and staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a shame we didn't have more time to explore the resort. Admittedly there was a problem with mosquitos even though we had plug-in repellants, but we did arrive after 8pm and we usually put plug-ins on by 5pm. My wife did not get any mosquito bites at all as she puts roll-on repellants on day and night. However, my mother in law and I were bitten several times.

We stayed next to this place at another Hotel. We had driven by this resort many times and we were very curious about it. We walked over to take a look. i must say very different, unique, and interesting. We walked through the whole resort. a lot of it was broken and needed repaired. We stopped at the lobby. it was full of clutter, with many different types of furniture and other items. We walked to the restaurant and found a lot of clutter and unique antiques and odds and ends. We decided to have lunch while there.. The lunch was enjoyable and delicious, but it was over priced. The service was slow and getting the food after it was ordered was also very slow. We decided to take a look at one of their rooms. The rooms fit the same mold. A lot of clutter and different types of furniture. I would say, it was a experience to walk around and take in all the different and unique furniture and other items. Something different to see , if you have nothing to do on your way to the Airport in Bangkok

As you see it in the distance as you drive up, you’ll think wow, what a wonderful and unique place. But the grandeur fades as you get closer. The complimentary airport pick up was a nice feature and the person who picked us up at the nearby BBK airport was super nice. Once you enter the reception area, you’ll know you made a mistake. The lobby is cluttered, dusty and looks like a cross between an old antique shop and a hoarder’s house. It’s creepy, dirty and depressing. The concept of the villa is great, but the execution is poor. The furniture is mis-matched, the decor is out dated and the art has inventory numbers on it. Weird! The round brick bedroom is windowless and odd. The villa has multi levels with small differences in the floor level, it’s a real trip hazard. And of concern to me was a complete lack of any smoke detectors in the villa - not even an inexpensive battery operated one. I felt unsafe there. And speaking of safes, the room safe was simply set inside a cabinet, not bolted down and easily carried away - totally useless. We stayed there because of the close proximity to the airport. That’s it’s only asset. I was uncomfortable in this place, it was not a good experience.

I would consider myself an experienced traveller, more of that, a travel journalist, and I dare say this place is the biggest scam I’ve ever met. Choose this place if you - tempted to eaten up by mosquitoes in the middle of a filthy swamp. Sorry, they name it lake... So, if you like mosquitoes, this is the right choice. You and your kids might be Dengue-infected in a matter of seconds. To spend a romantic night on your balcony? Hahaha, maybe in another life. Even the restaurant staff advised us to stay inside because of mosquitoes - if you want to experience the feeling is burried alive in a tomb or crypt. Really, your masterbedroom, a thai temple-like brick jurta has NO windows. Once again: in your superior villa you will have absolutely no windows in your bedroom. It’s like a scene from a vampire-story. Shouldn’t they warn their customers that windows are missing in the bedroom? - Don’t want to sleep for a minute as this scam Patomnkin-village is located literally next to the BKK runaway, so in every 5 minutes you will encounter the sound of turbojets. OK, I do apologize sincerely, they prepare earplugs... but why don’t they applied soundproof windows instead of 5 cents earplugs? But even the earplugs have no quality. They took the cheapest available and that’s it. - want to have a staff totally having lack of any English knowledge... really, even front desk. It’s a shame. In a five-star-hotel a londiner guy cannot comprehend a simple question of the opening hours of the pool. He doesn’t know the words of when and what time... - want to have rotten margarita pizza served for your kids (OK, apologize again, it was not charged eventually) - love horses, as the whole damned place is full of horseheads. Really. See the pictures. - love gaudy decoration - love to pay 3 times more for a massage than an ordinary price in Thailand - love you pay for a minibar small, 0375 wine 900 thai bath, i.e. 30 USD !!! - are not afraid of lizards on your balcony - wish to be in the middle of nowhere, right next to the biggest motorway junction I have ever seen - need a poor breakfast. Those people suggesting in their reviews that this resort has a rich breakfast have never been in a real 5-star-hotel. Choose instead of this ‘resort’ (quotation mark is the least we can use) a real hotel as Le Meridien or Novotel also very close to the airport. They will give you a shuttle ride and everything. This place belongs no chain and not quality-assured and also not supervised accordingly. An international chain must meet certain standards that are checked regularly and if standards are not met, either the brand abandons the place or the owners / franchise holders fire the management. Here, no international standards are met as this is a local, one-facility resort. I give another 5 years for this place untill bankruptcy. Step by step. You are on the way already. Believe me.” Best,

The pictures of this resort don't lie, it's really a spectacular place. It reminds me of walking around epcot in Disneyworld, like you have been transported to a different world! Our villa was really interesting too, with several rooms... very spacious! The breakfast was great and the pool was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and the security was very present. The only slight against it was the airport... some of the planes were loud, but they provided ear plugs to combat that. If you need a place close to the airport, and you want to relax in an awesome atmosphere, this is a great place!

we stayed in a pool villa for one night. It was all I had hoped it would be and I wish we could have stayed longer!! the room was clean and beautifully appointed. the Staff were friendly and helpful and incredibly well trained. exactly what you would expect from such a beautiful hotel. the whole place feels a little surreal with all the antiques and paintings piled up about the place, my husband was reminded of prop shops in London.. I would highly recommend this hotel for the service alone, add in the unique rooms and styling and you are onto a winner..
