This is my third visit to Greece and third island visited. I have long been looking forward to visiting Mykonos, but was always uncertain on which part of this island to stay. I definitely picked right. Mykonos Ammos is a delightfully wonderful and luxurious place to stay. The hotel is literally right on the beach in Ornos Bay. From the moment I stepped into the reception area, I knew I picked the best place on the island. My room is perfect, with a wonderful beachfront patio and a beautifully designed Greek decor in every way, The restaurant has a sophisticated, yet relaxed ambience and the included breakfast is perfect. The private section of the beach is serviced to a high standard and the staff here are polite and hospitable. Every need has been attended too. The only negative is I could only stay two nights. I would’ve loved to stay longer. You won’t go wrong by booking Mykonos Ammos!…
I really can't describe accurately in words how incredible this hotel is in real life! The staff is all incredibly kind, overly accommodating, overly hospitable, and strive for perfection in all that they do. They go above in beyond in all actions. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. It's a small boutique, 5 star hotel that absolutely deserves those 5 stars. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to their biggest suite, which included an incredible second porch with two couches and a private hot tube overlooking the beach. It was heaven. We had to pinch ourselves to believe it was real, and now other hotels are ruined for us, because this hotel just blew everything out of the water! We have stayed at many 5 star hotels, and none compare to Mykonos Ammos. The location is perfection. I expected to not love Mykonos, because I am a bit too old to be into the party scene. Ornos beach is the perfect location. It is quiet, peaceful, and very relaxing, but is is close to everything. The bus stop is right next to the hotel, and the bus system is fantastic! The beach is absolutely gorgeous, and the water is so clear. This hotel is what all hotels should strive to be. They get everything absolutely perfect. I can't wait to visit again one day. Mykonos was the highlight of our 17 day trip to Athens, Mykonos, Paros, and Santorini, and it was mainly due to Mykonos Ammos! If you are planning at trip to Mykonos, do yourself a favor and stay here!…
Amazing little boutique hotel in Ornos Bay. Beautifully appointed, staff excellent, very friendly and went out of their way to help you Hotel very clean, rooms spacious, lovely little seating areas outside. Location right on the beach. Breakfast buffet delicious
My fiance and I stayed here for a few days following a friends wedding in Santorini and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful, perfectly situated on the beach with a private section for guests only - a big plus. The staff were absolutely incredible, going above and beyond and always with a smile and so friendly. It's nice and quiet, perfect for a few relaxing days away but only a short bus or taxi ride into Mykonos town. We'd also highly recommend a visit to Apaggio, an amazing fish restaurant about a five minute walk from the hotel with an amazing view of Ornos beach area. A great recommendation from the hotel. You won't regret staying here, we would like to return at some point.
I don't usually write reviews though I wanted to thank all of the staff at Ammos Hotel for making our stay lovely and relaxing, despite the fact that my friend and I were travelling for the first time with my 1 year old. I really felt that they all went out of their way to show kindness, understanding and generosity to us and everyone interacted kindly with my daughter, which she loved! All of the staff were great though I wanted to particularly thank Zoe, Stamatis, Alexis, Thanos, Joseph, Vasiliki and Panagiotis for going the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful stay. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the baby bed and bedding, as at many hotels in the UK, the provision of these is often sub-par and mattresses are often not provided. My only small request would be that they get their current high chairs fixed/buy some new ones that are suitable for 6 months+ as that would have been helpful as opposed to having to keep my daughter in her buggy at breakfast and other meals due to the current ones having broken straps. The staff were also very accommodating regarding my nightly requests for milk for the baby and whilst the hotel seemed to mainly be adult travellers, we were never made to feel 'other' or inconvenient for staying with a child. In this sense, I felt we were able to have the best of both worlds and enjoy a grown-up luxurious stay whilst also enjoying time with my daughter. The quiet pool was definitely a highlight and she enjoyed her first swimming experiences very much. The quality of the rooms, breakfast/food, provisions (Aqua di Parma products - mmm) and cleanliness was second-to-none and we hugely appreciated the genuine friendliness and kindness of everyone we encountered, from front of house reception and restaurant staff to cleaning and maintenance people. Thank you everyone!…
Stayed at Mykonos Ammos Hotel for 10 night's the room was fab and the hot tub over looking the bay was amazing, we used this day and night. The hotel it's self is beautiful and spotlessly clean and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was out of this world what ever your taste you will definitely find something. The staff at breakfast time were so helpful pleasant they couldn't do enough for you and always had a smile on their face.It was my partners 50th whilst we were there I took a banner and balloons with me,they put these up the morning of our breakfast brought over a cake and sang happy birthday it was just perfect,I would like to say a massive thank you to all for making our stay unforgettable.
Second time staying at the Ammos for a 5 night break. Amazing seaview room with such a lovely balcony. Hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere. There are cleaners even mopping the outdoor walls! Staff all super helpful and friendly and genuinely can’t do enough for you. Great choice for bfast. Ornos beach is lovely and it’s a super quick bus ride to Mykonos town. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay. Will definitely be back.
Thank you to all staff (especially Zoe and Panos) for a truly fantastic holiday experience. From the second we arrived we were shown around the resort and offered a delicious welcome drink, to the end of our holiday where we were able to spend the day by the poolside awaiting our evening flight. Our room was SUPERB, so new and clean, immaculate, we enjoyed using the hot tub, utter luxury after a tough day sunbathing. The breakfast was a highlight, especially for myself as there were lots of nuts, seeds, fruit etc to enjoy. My husband enjoyed the made to order omelettes too. The layout of the buffet was so appetising, almost arty! The staff really couldn't do enough for you, asking several times if we were enjoying our stay. This hotel really does deserve the accolade as one of the best small hotels in the world. We walked over to Super Paradise beach which was around 8 miles and enjoyed the awesome beaches along the way. The sea was as blue and as clear as the Caribbean 😊 Thank you Ammos, we will return. X…
We had an incredible experience here for our honeymoon! We loved the location that it was private but close enough to jump on a cab or bus and be in Mykonos town within 10 minutes. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the service was amazing. Having the private sunbeds was definitely a plus. The breakfast buffet was delicious! We even got upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was a very nice surprise, and were greeted with welcome wine, fruit platter and drinks on the beach! There are also a bunch of great restaurants right on the beach. Thank you for an unforgettable honeymoon!
Great location in a lovely inlet. Hotel has great direct beach access and lounge chairs for guests. No need to go to beach clubs. Inlet is calmer and has less gusts than the rest of windy Mykonos. Rooms are clean and turned down daily as well as evening. Beautiful breakfast spread in the morning. Staff were all super gracious and helpful. Hotel has a bar as well as evening restaurant. But nearby Appagio and Portos Ornos tavern are both a stroll away and great options. Would come back again if I go to Mykonos again.
