My wife and i really enjoyed our stay here at Dorion,it's a small 24 room hotel 10 mins walk to the beach bars and restaurants with the personal touch. Dimitris and Nektanos on the front desk were brilliant and very helpful with information like booking taxis to and from the airport. Christos and Roula who served us breakfast were excellent also as nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast buffet is 20 Euro each but works out far better than walking into Ornos for breakfast as a bacon sandwich and a coffee was near 15 euro. This is a pretty little hotel thats well maintained and you can see the owners take pride in keeping the place looking tip top. There is a nice pool with a couple of smaller pools dotted around the property with padded sunbeds which will save you money as the cheapest beds on Ornos Beach are 40 Euro a day for a couple. We were in room 31 which had a fantastic view of Ornos bay but because this property is on a hill if you struggle with mobility issues you might want to request a room lower down. There is a maid service every day and a big thanks to Maria for keeping our room clean and tidy. I would have liked a walk in shower instead of over the bath but thats really the only small gripe we had. If you have a late flight as we did you can spend the day around the pool and there is a shower/changing room there to freshen up before you leave. If we ever return to Ornos we would definitely come back here.

Returned June 2022 post pandemic with 7 family members for 3 marvelous days.
Have stayed at the Dorion over ten times and wanted to share the experience with
my adult children, teen age grand children and partner.
As usual, the service, condition of facility, multiple swimming pools, buffet breakfast-all excellent/charming. The rooms have been modernized and bathrooms updated...beautifully done
Kudos to Nektar and Dmitri *managers and Florence and Anna for making the Dorion
a great family owned and run charming boutique hotel year after year.
The location, overlooking Ornos Bay and Beach, the spirit and personal vibe
continue to deliver a great cyclades experience. Keep it up-we'll join you as often as possible. Thanks for a memorable, wonderful experience.

lovely hotel. Great room and sea view. Staff friendly and very obliging. Breakfast great selection although could be hotter for hot items..

downside…. Coffee is complimentary in rooms but had to request it. in fact had to ask every day for it in my room.

When sunbathing around pool had to get up and go and order poolside drinks. no waiter service offering drinks by pool..

Great view, multiple pools, clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff (one was even a Chicago Cubs fan). The included breakfast was delicious. We stayed two nights. Our rooms were ready when we arrived and luggage delivered immediately by a polite bell hop.

Great location, away from the noise but close enough to all amenities, night life etc. Rooms were immaculate, great views and lovely swimming pool. The staff were charming and so helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. We didn't have great hopes for Mykonos island itself but we stayed a couple of nights so we could visit nearby Delos. Mykonos was not for us but the stay at Hotel Dorion made our short trip there bearable, we loved it.

Stayed in the Hotel Dorion for 4 nights in September. The hotel is very clean with marble bathrooms providing fluffy bathrobes and slippers and balconies overlooking Ornos Bay. Rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated and the buffet breakfast is very good. All this for 80 euro a night!!!!

Great place, quiet, staff Nick and Greg amazing in helping with transfers/taxis/restaurants. Breakfast included every morning, although simple still very good. Property has about 25 room and 5 pools. This means every cluster of rooms has a semi private pool. Pretty cool. Taxis on Mykonos total 31....This means you'll need scooter to get around. Rent one immediately upon arrival. There is a small path/short cut to Ornos bay too...We didn't find it until the last night . No path equals 15min walk, short cut 6min walk.

Hotel Dorian has only 24 rooms, one big pool and 3 small pools, lots of private patios, every room has balcony with Ornos Bay view, the room is specious, bright and sunny, bathroom has 2 sinks. The problem is at night, not enough light to read in bed. Breakfast room is bright and cheerful, you can eat by the pool as well, the only complaint is juices are too sweet.

Greg works at front desk, the most helpful and cheerful person, we really appreciated his help for everything.

The short cut to beach is quite tricky, so I'll tell you as clearly as I can. Get out of hotel, make a left turn, the very 1st road, make a right turn, it's not a road, it's more like a dirt path going down, pretty soon you will see the " beach" sign, keep going until you see another " beach" sign tied to utility pole, then make a right turn, until you reach the water. You should continue walking until you reach the beach front parking, this is the place the bus will drop you off from downtown Mykonos. When you make a left turn on beach front parking, you will see few restaurants there, less expensive than beach front restaurants, we love Balothies Greek restaurant, the food is good and not too expensive, we ate there 3 nights.

To take a bus to downtown Mykonos, you walk out hotel, make a left turn, keep walking until you see a bus sign on your right side, the bus is always late.

Overall, it's a charming hotel, very quiet, I feel like I am in a movie set.

We arrived at this hotel 8 days ago and scheduled to leave on Thursday so thought it best to leave a review whilst we are staying at Hotel Dorian.
The pros:
* a very quiet hotel in a quiet location with a good view of the beach aligned with restaurants.
* Nick & Greg on reception are extremely helpful. Greg always refers to us as "friends" and not guests.
* The rooms are spacious with a patio that opens up to a (cold) plunge pool and at least 3 loungers. You feel like you have your own personal space to sunbathe, though you are sharing it with 4 other rooms. Our little area is really quiet as people use the main loungers by the bigger pool.
* bearing in mind this is peak season there is no fighting for the sun loungers like most other hotels we've stayed in. The pool is hardly used!
* with all due to respect to British (we are also British) there are mainly Americans staying at this hotel which we prefer.
* you can order take away food from the hotel.
Now the cons....
* we find the breakfast just ok. Not a lot of selection for meat eaters. The few sausages that are there are few and far between so you have to get there early.
* there is no entertainment and only a few English speaking channels on TV!
* they have a kitchen so we dont understand why they dont offer dinner options.

Pls note that Mykonos is VERY expensive!! The buses get you around ok but be advised that they look like the equivalent of the English coaches! They always come around 15mins after that stated time.
Mykonos town is nice and the restaurants there are better than the ones in Ornos by the beach!

Hope this helps.
