In the center of Hebron above a busy shopping street you find this nice hostel with a restaurant overviewing the street. A friendly welcome by the family owning the hostel. Mom is a good cook who makes great local dishes.
Quite simply put; between Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Ramallah and Hebron, Ghassan's H2 Hostel had the best food I ate in Palestine. The warm, comforting welcome made us feel right at home. Ghassan himself is a kind, intellectual and welcoming man. His mother cooked us an amazing Maqluba. When I go back to Palestine, I will stay in the H2 Hostel for sure.
Highly recommend the walking tour. So informative and sheds light on what Palestinians have to go through every day. Great location and hosts. Right near the center of the city. Best hostel in hebron hands down.
Thank you so much Ghassan, the most welcoming lovely host. He is so intelligent and offers friendly knowledge to any guest wishing to know more about the conflict and particularly what is happening in Hebron. It is so SO important for us foreign travellers to be careful where we spend our money, and I definitely recommend staying a night or longer at H2 and use it as your base for travelling the West Bank - Rather than taking day trips from Israel where you are not contributing to Palestinian economy. I dream of returning to H2 Hostel every day, and I'm sure any guest will feel the same :)
The owner of the hostel, Ghassan, is amazing. He showed us city of Hebron and told us a lot about its history. The atmosphere in hostel was really nice. I was feeling like in my own home all the time. So if visiting Palestine I definitelly recommend staying in H2 Hostel.
