Just had afternoon tea, outstanding service, taste and value. Succulent sandwiches, warm scones and tasty desserts in a great setting. We were celebrating a birthday and the candle was a lovely touch. Love it and will be back!

Just had a great Sunday lunch, lots of flavour. We all had a different lunch but all were lovely. The Yorkshire puddings were perfect and a good size. Staff friendly and helpful. We'll be back. Thanks.

Lovely stay, really friendly and accommodating staff The room was slightly tired, but super clean and comfortable. Just a couple of points that I didn’t think was fair to downgrade on as we had such a lovely stay - breakfast: £16 ish , far too expensive and was expecting it to be amazing when it was a very small portion for both choices we had and average over all - we had dinner and our Camembert was over cooked, we would normally send it back but we were hungry after travelling up for the weekend from work Overall we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you to all the hardworking staff :-)

Spent a wonderful New Years Eve at The Lord Lease Hotel. What a wonderful time we had! The food was wonderful, the staff excellent, despite being really busy, the whole evening was perfect. I can’t rave about the food enough. I had a salmon starter followed by monk fish and then baked Alaska- all perfectly cooked and served. We will definitely be going back as l hear the Sunday roasts are equally as good. Nice one Lord Lease👍

We had a 1 night stay here and we had evening meal and breakfast the following morning. The hotel staff were attentive, polite and friendly. The evening food was lovely and there is plenty of choices on the menu. The bar and restaurant area is very nice indeed and the ambience of the hotel is very appealing. Our room was a decent size and overlooked the fields and the en suite bathroom was just right .we enjoyed it so much we are going back for a longer stay in December. We'll done to all concerned.

Stayed one night en route to the south coast. What a good find. The location is such that you won't want to go looking for somewhere to eat and drink in the evening so it's a good job everything you need is here. Comfortable, well equipped room overlooking the patio garden where other guests were enjoying the sunshine but the background noise was unobtrusive even with an open window. The evening menu was varied and the food was of a very good standard. Breakfast of cereals ,juices and a range of cooked options was also good. Every member of staff we met was pleasant and attentive to our needs and couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

Fabulous cream tea. Lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes, generous helpings of cream and jam for the lovely warm scones. Chilled Prosecco and attentive service. This hotel is a hidden gem. Having stayed here in the past when we were house hunting we knew it would be good…and it was! Thank you

You may think you are lost as you wind through a housing estate to get to this little gem. Keep going and you will find the hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful. We were in search of a snack and the chef produced an incredible cream tea. The scones were light and the perfect texture. Breakfast was freshly cooked rather than being left in heated trays. All in all a great place to stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Great hotel just outside Chard. Lovely building with a comfortable restaurant and bar. Great food, comfortable rooms and extremely helpful and friendly staff. There's a large beer garden and a good selection of beers and ciders, including some local ones!
