We have stayed in many hotels worldwide but I cannot think of a friendlier hotel anywhere. The staff are brilliant with a special mention to Martin the bar manager… Brilliant at his job and with such a great personality. The food was lovely especially the cooked breakfast. The minus side is that the hotel is in a random situation and you need to drive through a housing estate to get to it and it does need updating in places but maybe it’s part of its charm… We will definitely stay again… Terry and Wendy.

Stayed here for 2 nights basic and dated room but good shower, could have done with a little fridge to keep some bits in especially being dog friendly so to keep food in there would have been great. Nice touch with the little dog box with towel and treats in though. 2nd night our bathroom absolutely stunk of cigarette’s so neighbours must have been smoking also having windows open and above bar area could smell cigarette smoke not nice for non smokers. Food was absolutely fantastic though, would highly recommend the restaurant here and the team were very friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t stay again but would use the restaurant/bar.

We stayed at The Lordleaze Hotel for 2 nights as part of a voucher we’d been gifted. Its location is slightly odd as you drive through a modern housing estate to get to it, however, once you get across the little track, its quiet and feels like you’re almost in the countryside. We asked for a quiet room, and that is what we got. (Room 26). It was spotlessly clean, perfectly adequate, although the Mrs would’ve liked a robe 😂. There is some nice seating areas to have a drink by the fire. The staff were really friendly and willing to help with any needs that we had. We had breakfast included with the voucher, which was very nice, but the continental buffet breakfast could’ve been replenished more frequently, as we had to ask a few times for some items. Overall really good value for money and a lovely little hotel that should be supported. Would not hesitate to recommend (especially if you’ve got a dog).

We booked this accommodation following receipt of a Buyagift voucher and thoroughly enjoyed a two-day break at this well-run hotel. The young friendly staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a quiet dog-friendly retreat close to the south coast and Lyme Regis book now!

I fell in love with this hotel as soon as I stepped through the door, clean, bright & airy. Our room was small but had everything you needed. The restaurant food was absolutely gorgeous and nothing was too much trouble for the brilliant Grace, who kept me supplied with ‘straws’. We will definitely be back to stay in this lovely family run hotel.

We booked a weekend here as a local(ish) getaway. It was purchased with a voucher which gave us a limited selection so to be honest we weren't expecting too much, however our expectations were exceeded by far. The hotel is set at the end of a long drive on the edge of Chard so it feels like a country setting. The room was very comfortable, the staff were helpful and attentive, but what really made it was the food, which was amazing on both nights. We would definitely come back even if it meant paying full price.

We were gifted a one night stay with breakfast and chose the Lordleaze as our destination and it didn't disappoint! Firstly, the roads are sign posted so it can be easily found from streets away. Secondly, the welcome was lovely and well organised. Thirdly, the bedroom was a great size, very clean and the bed was very comfy. They provided us with a cot for our baby. And lastly the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice! Overall a really enjoyable stay and would be more than happy to stay here again! Thank you to the staff at the Lordleaze!
