We came here with another couple to celebrate his 60th birthday. This guest house is in the perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. Only a short drive to Stow on the Wold where there is no shortage of excellent places to eat and drink. Amanda and Rob were great hosts and very helpful when it came to advising places to... More

Rob gave us a lovely welcome, we had a great room, meals lovely and the place is spotless and idyllic. On the downside, being treated a little like a schoolboy for not parking perfectly after a 4 hour drive, plus my wife spoken to as if we had not returned a borrowed torch and then me being abruptly told not... In response to the above comments may I politely reply to the guests comments: The drive is a gravel drive and therefore it would prove impossible to mark out in stones.... When we offer to lend a torch to our guests...we do so in order that they have a some form of illumination to keep them safe...( it is the... More

Woodland Guesthouse is a most beautiful place to spend a relaxing time. Well located, close to many interesting tourist spots, a short drive to eateries but far enough away to be able to experience peace, quiet and tranquility. Amanda and Rob were great hosts, friendly, informative and eager to share a good yarn. Outstanding country location with our room overlooking... More

"We had a very good time staying at the Woodlands. Both Amanda and Rob were the ideal hosts. Inviting us in when we arrived early and later after a long walk Rob insisted on making us a fresh brew of tea. We commend both Amanda and Rob for making us most welcome. Rob's wholesome English breakfast was 1st class. B... More

What an amazing weekend, We could not have chosen a better place to stay, the best way to describe the woodlands is home from home - we were made to feel special and our every needs were met with a smile. We had our mum with us who is in a wheel chair and both Amanda and her husband could... More

We were warmly greeted by Amanda when we arrived and had a friendly chat with her. We were then introduced to her beautiful dogs - a 14 month old Newfoundland X Poodle and a 9 week old Cockapoo - both of which were utterly gorgeous! We were shown to our room and she recommended the local pub for dinner. The... More

As experienced and considerate guests at guest house bed and breakfasts in USA, England, and Australia we have never been spoken to, or treated as we were by Rob and Amanda, over the period of a 7 night stay, July 2015. Their hefty cancellation fee of 100% of the booking fee meant leaving to find a more relaxing and comfortable... More

Good Day Firstly may I say I value feed back good and bad, the bad feed back I try and learn from and improve the Guesthouse. Not once did you say or voice your dissatisfaction and wanting to leave, if it was so terrible.... And disappointing, I know if it was my holiday I would have said something. You would... More

Spent 2 nights at Woodlands s a base for Longborough Festival Opera. Only a 5 minute journey to Stow and Longborough. Woodlands is extremely convenient and very welcoming. Amanda couldn't have been more accommodating. Free wifi. Comfortable room, great views over rolling countryside, good choice of breakfast. Plenty of car parking - ideal centre for Cotswolds. I'll be back...

Ideally situated close to Stow, and ideal base from which to explore the Cotswolds. The room was on the small side but well appointed with a comfortable bed. The views from the window were out of this world.Free WiFi was fine and little 'extras' were plentiful. The hosts are friendly and most helpful, offering advice on local attractions and dining...
