Very clean, with big enough rooms and large balconies. Private parking is available at no cost. Also a small SPA with water basin, salt water basin, wet and dry saunas and massage (paid).
The breakfast is rich with various foods.
The hotel is nice, cleanliness is exemplary, staff is super friendly and helpful.
There is parking in the back of the hotel.
The spa is very good for a hotel this size.
One objection though, there was no masseuse or masseur available at all. This may be because we came during the week and in January (off season).
- the roams are clean and equipped with all you need
-big balcony
- for children - an in doors play ground, very nice arranged
- free parking - enough places
- great breakfast (buffet)- It was strange that I couldn't put it the option of breakfast on my initial reservation but in the end you can also pay at the location for it
- the discount ticket for hotel`s restaurant (Kali restaurant) - - the Kali restaurant food did not impress me (was ok but only for one dinner ) My recommendations for restaurants in Sovata are: Bello Restaurant and The Small Mushroom (great food and great services)
Minuses
- the bathroom is clean but there can be few adjustments that can be done: because it was equipped with tube, i think is mandatory a shower curtain and also the shower head must be replaced with another one more efficient
- also in bathroom is need a ventilation system because is a permanent dazzling atmosphere there and you have to keep the door open for ventilate the bathrom
Excellent hotel located.
Close to Lake Ursu or Black Lake. Walks are possible.
Excellent breakfast, sufficient and with good quality dishes.
Top SPA, clean, excellently maintained.
Excellent staff, both at the Reception and at the SPA, ready to help at any time.
Restaurant with excellent dishes and friendly and professional staff.
A little work should be done on the attitude of the waiters.
Maybe because we weren't from the area? 😉😀😉😀
Anyway, overall it was good. I also liked the spa.
The breakfast buffet was as written on the book. Perfect.
Location on the other hand is great! you're walking distance to Bear Lake, Black Lake and all places to eat out.
Parking is a nice plus, just behind the hotel. They were also building an indoor pool for next year, can't wait to revisit this place!
The lady at frontoffice - Ildiko - was not very friendly and almost yelled at me blaming me for not telling her i wanted to have breakfast in the room rate. I thought that's the frontoffice job to inform guests at check-in of their options... I guess it needs more training - something for the management to look into.
Breakfast was a big minus for us. It costs about 25 ron / 5.5 Eur but the food buffet is far from inviting. 3 days in a row and not once have i seen omelette. Just hard boiled eggs and some basic salami. the wasps were flying around and quite often got trapped in the mayonnaise or honey pot. The staff were not very attentive, they were chatting among them rather than replenishing trays on the buffet.
Coffee was just a coloured water. I ended up paying for a cappuccino from their bar bat that was just as bad.
So, next time I go there, I'll book room only and go out to have breakfast elsewhere.
It's such a pity service is not up to a higher level as the resort is beautiful.
We were in October there, so the famous Lake was not open. We went to the Hotel Danubius Health Spa Resort on Sunday. So we had the possibility to enjoy the salted water of the Lake.
There was a buffet lunch included in the entrance package. The buffet was great, the price was acceptable. The Spa Resort is open to the public (for not hotel guests) only on Sundays.
Cons: no mosquito net at windows :)
Room was clean and more towards the moders side, we had a room with a view towards the main street. Has no personal touch.
"If is possible try to ask for a room not to the main street but with view to the car parking because is more quieter"Read full review
"Rooms on the side of the parking have twin rooms, on the side of the road queen beds(not very large)."Read full review
