Rooms were large and had nice furniture. Small kitchen and the showers were short and cramped. limited bath suplies.
Although it was fairly sized the design was such that the shower area was barely 2ftx2ft making it difficult to move around. It also caused a lot of water to spill out of the shower area making the whole bathroom wet. The water pressure was too low to comfortably take a shower.
The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but we could order food from nearby restaurants. Room was vey dimly lit and the A.C. was fine
The staff is courteous and helpful. A busy market area behind the hotel ensured we had access to a lot of eateries and local shops.
All in all, would look for better places next time I visit.
The shower is a little cramp. The bedroom was a nice size. The kitchen had a smell to it. I kept the door closed and did not use it. The living room was of a nice size but kind of dark. The one window did not let in a lot of light. The bedroom had a huge window and I could sort of see the Kuwait Towers in the distance if it was not to cloudy. The tv system did not work for me but the free Wi-Fi did so that kept me entertained at night.
Overall, I am not sure if I would stay here again. It was one of the cheaper options on my 3 night stay in Kuwait. I spent almost 2 weeks in the region so I was watching my spending a bit. It did serve its purpose of being a hotel room. The staff was really nice especially the gentleman who greeted me when I arrived at 4 am.
Hotel has amenities like ATM mcdonalds pharmacy and a superstore within 5 minutes walking distance.
Cab will cost you roughly 7-8 kwd from airport.
The only thing I would suggest they can get better at is do slightly more refurbishment of the rooms and toilets and it will be a perfect hotel for a basic bur decent stay.
Good luck to the team at Times Square Suites
Hotel is outdated. Rooms are with old furniture. There is small fridge in room, but if you try to connect to electrical outlet, it becomes so loud. Actually, we didn't want to play with electrical outlet, since it looked very old and not in working (and secure) condition. There is also TV in the room, but not working, as well.
Still no restaurant, breakfast is served in room and is not enough for 2 people. Breakfast starts at 6, so be prepared to wake up when your neighbor order food – stuff is using some old and very loud trolleys, then they knock at doors, and at the end, opening and closing doors make a lot of noise. So, no more sleep from 6am.
Bathroom is also outdated, with only shower curtain and a drain on the floor. We called every single day to provide us with fresh towels and toilet papers. Didn't even bother to ask for shower gel.
Overall, I am sure I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is one of the cheaper hotel in Kuwait, but better add some KDs and get a proper decent room.
The hotel is not known at all it took me like 2 hours searching for it it's not even on the map. I tried to find it on garmin or either my mobiles but it was like not exist. When I reached it I asked the reception to see the room first before I check in. When they showed me the room ibimmediately decided not stay. The sheet looked dirty and the bathroom is very ugly.
I strongly advice the management of this hotel to make renovation.
I dont recommend this hotel for anyone
The hotel was booked by the company and was far far far below my expectations.
First of all the room feels so out dated. To the management: Do some thing about it.
It had a cold feel and was not cosy at all. The hotel is called Times Square hotel, well I think the owner went to New York about 60 years ago, as everything was old in the hotel and he must have based his idea on New York in the 1950s
Room has old, used furniture and there is no insulation. When the neighbour leaves his room, he wakes up the whole floor by the noise
No restaurant is available, and breakfast is a joke. A wrapped croissant, instant coffee (no real coffee), juice in a box, and sausages. I did not even bother eating the sausages
Bathroom had a toilet, but no real separate shower, only a shower curtain attached to the wall and a drain in the floor. Thanks god there was hot water
The bed was okay, but I was so tired after work I would have slept on a rock as well. On top of that when arriving on the first night, there was a long black hair on the bed.
Clearly not mine as I have short hair.
The only modern thing in the room was a flat screen tv, but the wiring was poor, they did not even do the effort to hide cables properly.
My suggestion: there must be a better hotel in Kuwait so don’t book here if you want a proper and decent room
Will never go back.
airport pick-up Free The staffs are really friendly and ask each day in what time we want the breakfast location walking distanc for Shopping Malls and Gold Market
Eventually, I find the address through share luck. Ironically there is a nice map on my room key envelope that would have made finding Times Square a lot easy. In my opinion, this map should be on their website or the websites of the various booking agencies that offer this property.
Checking in, the lone employee is friendly and gladly exchanges my dollars for dinars which is a bit depressing. Something is wrong when $50 gets you $13.
My room is on the 6th floor and I actually like the smell of incense in the hall as I step of the elevator.
Room 606 is spacious, clean and has a king size bed that is firm but comfortable. This is an older property and the furnishings and bathroom reflect this although in my opinion they are all acceptable. I do like the fact there is a fridge and microwave available along with a nice power strip. This makes it nice to get all my electronics charged back up.
Within walking distance is a 24hr grocery store which is convenient for a late night snack. Times Square is located in a commercial type area which seems rather safe with plenty of parking spaces available.
I would definitely recommend Times Square for budget accommodations in Kuwait. If you do chose to stay here one word of caution, the room doors close very loud on their own so be a nice neighbor and give them some assistance.
Don't do like I did the first time at 11:30pm. Sorry, Room 605!
