Sovana is a small village in Southern Tuscany. The hotel is located at one end of the single street in the town, bar the Duomo. The gardens are beautiful, especially the Roman swimming pool. Our room overlooked the Duomo, the gardens and the Tuscan countryside. The village is a joy to experience in the evening, when the day tourist leave... More

Sovana is a small historic town in the Maremma region of Tuscany - pretty much a single street with an abandoned fortress at one end and a 12th century Duomo (cathedral) at the other. The Sovana Hotel & Resort is very close to the Duomo at the end of town in a restored old building with a large garden. Check... More

We stayed here two nights and found this hotel to be one of the nicest places of our Italy trip. Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom, and the view was lovely looking out to the local duomo and countryside. A tea tray was brought to the room around 14:00...excellent service by all the staff. The owner is... More

We got married in August in the midst of the Hotel's olive grove and had the best day ever. We stayed for three days and could not have chosen a better place. The Hotel and its grounds are absolutely gorgeous - olive trees, rose bushes and a stunning pool - all surrounded by an idyllic Tuscan landscape. The staff was... More

My friends and I were blown away when we entered this hotel, hundreds of years old. It had so much character and history set within this tine town of Sovana in Tuscany. The hotel sits on these incredible , landscaped grounds - acres in scope. It truly took my breath away. I was there for only one night but never... More

Four of us stayed at the Sovana Hotel & Resort for our first night of a Tuscan vacation, prior to taking possession of a villa rental. It was a delightful surprise -- nestled in a gorgeous, tiny medieval hill town, feeling completely authentic in that context, but coming with an enormous, beautifully landscaped and gardened set of grounds that tempted... This hotel is even better than last year. New Manager "Walter" has brought in new staff and a hotel professionals' sense of service. I feel like this is my Italian home. Lovely church bells nearby, gorgeous olive tree grove, stone walls and even a labyrinth

My husband and I stopped for one night on a biking vacation and we were delighted with this hotel. The view from our room was breathtaking overlooking the olive groves. The hotel itself was immaculate and the service was great. We were the only couple at the hotel and the owner put out an incredible breakfast spread just for us.... More

Hotel Sovana is a paradise retreat, located in a town that seems stuck in time, yet with all the amenities and great service that makes your stay just exquisite. The rooms are impeccable, so are the bathrooms. You can have breakfast in the terrace, and you can walk to the couple of restaurant in this tiny town for a great... More

I stayed there for a week during a conference (so I cannot really say anything about the prices, because we certainly got a very special deal). The hotel is in the very small 'town' Sovana (about 100 inhabitants), one of three very old sites and quaint towns in (an on) tufo in Southern Tuscany. The hotel is spacious, nice public... More
