Detailed Reviews
The Worthing Court Apartments and Hotel is perfect for those vacationers that have been to Barbados before and do not need the "guided tour" of the island's greatest attractions. If you have love Barbados and want to keep coming back year after year, then this is a hidden gem. The location is walking distance to the beach, shopping, markets, and lots of dining. The Worthing offers many on-site amenities such as a pool, outdoor bar and dining, game room, and laundry. The rooms are average size and include a living room area, bedroom, and a kitchenette.
My wife and I stayed here for the week of Christmas, 2019. Initially we were a bit disappointed in our choice as we are usually accustomed to the all-inclusive, pampering from the big resorts. We realized this we were not going to get towels folded into exotic animals or mints awaiting us on the bed when we returned from our daily excursions; there would be no room service for late night snacking; there would be no mini fridge stocked with $6 pretzels and $10 Cokes. However, when I stopped to consider the average guest of the Worthing is not looking for all the high-cost frills, just a safe, fun place to relax and stay while you enjoy your favorite parts of the island, I realized what a great find it is.
The staff at the Worthing is friendly and respectful, especially Muriel. You may need to ask for a few things such as wash clothes, coffee, kitchen gadgets, etc. The beds are made up with a single sheet so if you need the comfort of a blanket you will need to ask and they will provide one. The rooms are a bit dated, but the grounds around the Worthing are kept clean and tidy. Most of the other guests seemed to be British, which makes sense considering the island's history, and they have been coming back for years.
In summary, if you've been to Barbados before (or are first time visitor who blazes your own path) and know what, where, when, and how to do your favorite things, then the Worthing is definitely a high recommendation.

My husband and I stayed at worthing court for a week as it was a government approved hotel and we needed to stay there until we had our 2nd pcr test. We booked this hotel because it had all of the facilities we needed after our period of isolation which was 3 days. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by lovely members of staff who do go above and beyond for you.
However we were very disappointed to find out that NONE of the facilities were open. The pool was closed for maintainence the gym was closed the resteraunt were closed and we weren't allowed to use the washing facilities. We diddnt get our room cleaned the whole week we stayed which meant no clean sheets etc. We had to fully clean the room before we left and during our stay with only washing up liquid. No toilet cleaner surface spray or cloths, no floor cleaner etc.
There was no mention of any facilities being closed when booking on either the British airways website or the expedia website. This was very disappointing as we were will still on holiday and I believe the facilities you pay for should be usable after your isolation if the hotel is open and running.
We specifically booked this place (and paid more) than other places because of the features I mentioned above and it turned out we got to use nothing. If it wasn't for the staff being so nice and friendly I would have left one star. The facilities available or not available needs to be made clear to the holiday companies that are offering the hotel so that guests can make an informed decision on where to stay.
I would like to add that I do understand the difficulties countries are facing with covid 19, however once the 2nd pcr test is done and negative the idea is to enjoy your holiday, we couldn't do this because the facilities we expected and paid for were not provided by the hotel.
Other hotels are operating their pools and restaurants (even the approved holding hotels and I know because I've checked)
Im sure this would be a lovely place to stay if everything was open but we feel very let down at £575 for a weeks stay with no amenities.

I selected Worthing Court as a quarantine hotel because of their in room facilities. There was an A/C unit, a TV, kitchen sink, gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, electric kettle and toaster, and a small covered outside area which forms part of the “room” for quarantine purposes. I suspected that test results from the airport would take a while because of a spike in local cases, and was released after two nights. The room #107 was suitable for 2 occupants and the bathroom had a shower, toilet, and wash basin.
Remember to bring an adapter from the UK to charge your devices, and you could in theory bring ready meals from the UK to heat in the oven, but to be honest you will be unlikely to have enough room in your luggage. I ordered two alternate breakfasts from the hotel which offers room service - English and Pancake - and also Tuna with Cou Cou for lunch. I also ordered one delivery meal via Hopscotch from the local Just Grillin.
I left a charger and jacket in the room - and had a phone call within a few hours to let me know.

My husband and I spent an extended weekend at Worthing Court over my birthday. It is a birthday I will always remember. Worthing Courts location is near amazing restaurants and beaches, but in all reality, we spent a lot of time at the clean pool and eating the incredibly delicious food at Worthing Court prepared by their head chef, Joy.
There was a younger demographic staying at Worthing Court, so we were able to meet some fantastic people that we’ve continued to stay in touch with since leaving the Hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. I greatly appreciated the black out curtains they have in the rooms as there were a few mid day naps that we snuck in. Overall, I would highly recommend Worthing Court to anyone looking for a comfortable stay, delicious food, clean pool and great community of people.

As a US national, I had to quarantine upon entry in Barbados. I chose Worthing Court because it was significantly more affordable than the other holding hotels. I was extremely pleased with every aspect of my stay! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly; they made me feel comfortable and safe while quarantining on my own. The air conditioning worked great which was lovely considering how warm it is here! I loved my large balcony which had a table and chairs. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was two twin mattresses pushed together but this wasn’t a problem for me and actually very comfortable. The staff was happy to go purchase groceries for me the first night and I even enjoyed a delicious French toast breakfast made by Joy one morning. All in all, it was a lovely stay. I would highly recommend, especially for anyone who needs a nice but affordable place to quarantine.

What a fantastic place! Perfect location, just across the road from a beautiful quiet beach and about 5 minutes walk to another beach that is more lively.
The pool was great to swim in. Don't miss the Tuesday night meal and live entertainment with Mr Impact. Joy and the kitchen and bar staff are so lovely. The cleaning team and the maintenance team were also really fantastic.
The apartments are clean, fully equipped in the kitchen, lovely balcony and there is a laundry that you can use (pay with tokens from reception) if you need to do any washing. Two supermarkets are within 5 - 7 minutes walk, with one of them being even closer than that. Cash machines, petrol stations, bus stops, bars, restaurants and even a church all within that same distance.
We also met the nicest people staying here. It was such a nice place to be during the Christmas holidays.
I could go on! I'll happily stay at Worthing court on future visits to Barbados!

By far and away the best part of Worthing Court is Joy in the restaurant. She is lovely, accommodating, and everything I ate was delicious.
PROS: they have a meal plan, were flexible with checkout dates based on the uncertainty of testing, and were more affordable than most other places I looked at.
CONS: the hotel itself is just average, even for a budget hotel, and in need of an update. No washcloths, shampoo, or window screens, the sliding door jams, very little water pressure in the shower, etc. You might specifically ask when you arrive how to navigate the 2nd test. I'd assumed they would walk me through it but I was kind of on my own, though in fairness I don't know if that's officially their job. Just would have been helpful.
So, for me it was a good option for the holding hotel but I wouldn't have been happy there longer term.

+1
Location was excellent for my mum who is in her 70s. Just across from the beach, close to supermarkets and also the Worthing Food Square.
Our apartment was on first floor so one flight of stairs. Perfect. It was large, clean, aircon worked very well and the shower was walk in. Perfect for mobility issues. Shoutout to the housekeeping who were great, cleaned the room daily and worked very hard. We took our own recycling out daily as it was at the bottom of the stairs and they were very grateful.
Worthing Beach was just across the road however we always walked to Rockley Beach and the Tiki Bar as BBD60 for 2 loungers, parasol and BBD50 worth of voucher for lunch was a bargain. Having those facilities on hand was great. TIP - the saltfish fritters are amazingly tasty.
Breakfast was cooked to order by the lovely JoyAnne and her team and it was delicious. Pancakes, full English, the choices were great. We had the saltfish fritters for lunch on our last day and these were divine, wish we had discovered them earlier in the week.
From the hospitality room (providing showering facilities on checkout) to the reception staff who were only too willing to assist with all queries, it really was a lovely stay and we WILL be back.
There was nothing that we didn't like especially. Only niggles are that the pool area offers very little shade for the loungers and the live music from the Worthing Food Square can be a little loud. We moved loungers to next to the restaurant area for shade and the music was switched off at 10 or 11 (cant recall which).
Still going to return :)

Worthing Court provided us with a hassle-free, worry-free, warm, personal and easy quarantine process for bringing our kids home from college for the holidays this Christmas. The staff was so helpful in making arrangements: they booked the taxi from the airport and the PCR testing (which was done at their facility, so no need for more taxis and moving around). They were prompt and pleasant with their email responses to our many questions. We were able to drop off groceries and food with the staff at the gate whenever we liked, in addition to the convenience of their restaurant and the many nearby delivery options. They even called to have us retrieve valuable items forgotten behind. I heartily recommend them for a smooth transition during these worrisome times of Covid traveling.

I arrived in Barbados on November 7th, 2020 and I decided to quarantine at this hotel. It was the best decision that I made. All Covid 19 protocols were in effect, check in was seamless, and the hotel assisted me with everything. They gave me the information on how to book the second test, arranged the taxi service for me to to the second test, called me when the taxi arrive. Everything was seamless thanks to the hotel staff helpfulness. I ordered food from the onsite restaurant and service delivery to the room was contactless. If you are looking for a reasonable place with excellent customer service this is the place to quarantine.
