Words can’t describe how incredible this family is! It really feels like a home from home. Issa and Rowda are the warmest people in Palestine. Nothing was too much trouble for them as they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable during your stay. Their knowledge of the area is exceptional and they helped plan a lot of or activities throughout. Breakfast is fresh and a pure delight. We had many conversations with the family around the breakfast table. The rooms and facilities are top class and the views of Jifna from the large rooftop balcony are jaw dropping. There is simply no other place to stay if you are visiting Jifna or Ramallah. The Khouriya family will be friends for life…. You’ll feel the same when you stay here too!
Until the next time, much love from your Irish friends ❤️

The home is sparkling clean, and Rowda and Issa are the most welcoming and kind people. In their hospitality they went above and beyond, serving us delicious traditional food and even showing us around town. They made us feel at home the moment we arrived, like part of the family. Thank you!!

I was looking for a place to experience Palestinian hospitality with my family and I definitely made the right choice. Rawda and Issa were very welcoming and we shared meals together while exchanging stories.
The homemade food was very delicious and prepared with local products. Lucky us that we are still enjoying the olive oil and Zaatar we took back home.
As it was pretty cold when we were there, I hope to come back again to enjoy the garden as well.
The house is located in Jifna, 20min by car from Ramallah, and offers a quiet place to stay in a village.

I recently stayed with a group of eight fellow travelers. The proprietors could not have been more gracious. I had lost a converter plug for electricity, and they moved to heaven and earth to find me a replacement. The surrounding area is beautiful. The meals we took were exceptionally delicious and care was taken to provide us vegetarian meals. I cannot recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough!!!

Reads and Issa are the kindest hosts. I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Palestine! They are so passionate about sharing their home with their guests, you really feel like you are part of the family. They go above and beyond in their hospitality, it really feels like you are staying with family. Sit around the breakfast table or over a cup of tea and learn about their lives and their passion for Palestine!

Rawda and Issa are wonderful hosts. Not only do they welcome you into their home they also share deeply of their lives in Palestine. I learnt a great deal during my stay. I went on a tour to Nablus and surrounds which was excellent. The Palestinian dinners each night were delicious. I am so grateful for all I learnt staying with Rawda and Issa.

The gueshouse is a bit outside Ramallah in Jifna. But the location is near to the city, calm, and most of all very good hosts and great facilities. Rawda and Issa have a lot of ideas and can take you on a tour if you want. Great, genuine, and authentic stay in Palestine! Definitely I'll come back!

. This was a horrible stay for me and my family. I am not one to complain about hotels--I have stayed in some very cheap, basic hotels and I was content. This place just does not deserve the acclaim it has gotten on Trip Advisor. At first we were surprised by the beautiful view in Jifna. The house at first seemed nice and clean. The first indicator that our stay was going to decline in quality was that the mosquitoes were terrible. We were bitten constantly and even though they had an electric bug zapper in their home they did not offer it as a solution to us. There were holes in the window screens-- there was no air conditioning, so we had to open the windows--and the mosquitoes had free reign in our room. Issa did not seem concerned for us when we approached him about this problem. We personally had to walk up to the house, and ask to see him to ask to be moved into the house, rather than the separate living quarters we were staying in. They did not check on us the first few days after we arrived to ask how we were doing, so we thought things would improve once we moved into the house. Sadly, things got worse. We had to ask for EVERYTHING. We always had to ask for refills on toilet paper, and towels. They never cleaned our rooms until we asked them to. The sheets/pillow cases were never changed and the garbage bins were OVERFLOWING. There were no other necessities provided and the cost for food at their home was over priced. They also take advantage of the fact that visitors don't know how cheap the souvenirs/ soaps are just a short ride away in Ramallah. If you are an unsuspecting foreigner, they will also overcharge you to drive you around in their van. You can get cheaper prices if you ask around. We went on a trip with Issa to Hebron and the Dead Sea. In Hebron he was so condescending to those less fortunate than him that it immediately was a red flag for me and my family.
Issa made us feel very unwelcome from the first day, when my jet lagged family and I took showers. He rudely suggested we used way too much water and he would need to refill the water tank for him and his family (even though we took maybe 5 minutes in the shower per person). After we moved into the house, he neglected to tell us that one of the two light switches in the bedroom was for the water heater. He rudely barged upstairs when my sister and I were not dressed properly, and accused us of "not listening" to him, and told us not to touch the light switch. He acted as though we were a burden the entire stay. The toilet also leaked, and Issa did absolutely nothing for us. It smelled constantly upstairs because of that toilet. The wifi was also terrible, and not as advertised. It was very spotty and we had to sit on the stairs to get the weakest of signals.
One night my sisters and I put some music on, and we were talking at a fairly normal level. Issa apparently found it appropriate to send his niece upstairs to tell us to be quiet because he was on the phone, and he also made her ask us for payment as well even though he acted very casual about when we should pay. We asked when we arrived when we should pay and he said just pay me whenever you want. Funnily enough, the TV was always blasting up to our living quarters and he and his family were very loud. We could always hear kids yelling from the main floor. This stay did not include the traditional hospitality of Palestinian people that the 5 star reviews claim. He was a horribly lazy host, and he treated us as though we were some relatives he did not want staying in his home. The stay was so unsatisfactory that we packed up and moved to a hotel in Ramallah where the service was wonderful. The "kindness" of the Khouriya family is quite phony; the moment we expressed the service was not satisfactory their attitudes worsened and Issa and his sons/nephews did not even help us take our 50 pound bags down the stairs, and out to the taxi. One would think they would at least express concern, or at least be apologetic to save their reputation.
For the price they ask, you can find a very nice hotel nearer to Ramallah that will include breakfast and very friendly staff. I would recommend Rocky Hotel or Retno Hotel as a substitute for this place. They have comparable, if not cheaper, prices that have included breakfast and excellent quality wifi. The other hotels also didn't yell at us for taking showers! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

This was the worst stay I have ever had. We had mosquitos eat us alive and Issa did not care or offer any solution. We asked to switch rooms and we ended up on the upper level. The internet connection was awful the toilet leaked and the stench filled the room. The floor was soaked and we had to use our towels to suck up the yellow water on the floor ..which by the way was left there until we asked for new towels and to empty the garbages or to give us more toilet paper. No one ever cleaned the room or asked us how we were doing. Worst customer service ever. It was so bad that our last four days we couldn't handle it anymore and checked out and stayed at the Retno Hotel in the main city of Ramallah . I have never complained about a stay in my life ..this was unreal. If I could leave a worse score I would but unfortunately I have to put one star. Don't be fooled by the good reviews.

I recently spent a week staying at the Khouria family guest house together with a group of 14 people. The house is big light and airy and very comfortable and clean, with space to move around and balconies from which to enjoy the views. We were looked after just as when staying with friends or family. The meals were freshly pepared and tasty. Rawda enjoys her cooking and swapping recipes. The family made us so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. If you want to learn about life in the West Bank the family enjoy sharing thoughts and ideas. We had our own programme, but Rawda and Issa will arrange visits in the area for their guests on request. Jifna is an interesting village, half Moslem half Christian and the views from the house are interesting and extensive. A wonderful place to stay
