Woodland resort is the old name. The new name is scape resort. We stayed here for 3 days 2 nights. Our chalet was basic but clean. But hey it's the jungle, so don't expect much luxury. Everything worked like it supposed to be. The personnel is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is basic but absolutely good. The wifi is... More

This is no 5 Star hotel but it is near Taman Negara. The cabins need a bit of love and care and ground maintenance is poor with large concrete pathways broken and uneven. The units looked well worn but were reasonably clean and basic. The beds were comfortable, the TV was not worth having, breakfast was included but cold and... More

Nice structure of challets but not well maintained . Beds , bathrooms need renovation . Insects get in to the room in the night as it is by the jungle . Staff not very well trained but they try hard. We saw a long snake near restaurant area . Food needs to be improved . Overall it was different experience... More

10 min walking from kuala tahan jetty on the top of the hill is an average solution if you like to spend some days wandering around taman negara NP. Very friendly staff, good accomodation, a swimming pool to cool down after jungle walking. Just one remark: the food is too much western-like with poor malaysian taste

I stayed at the Woodlands Resort (now actually called the Xscape Resort) for a couple of nights recently and parts of it were really disappointing. It is slightly away from the park, but only about a ten minute walk to the river, so the location is quite convenient. There are also some really nice views of the national park from... More

22 Of us just visited this resort on Aug'14. This resort was just took over by new owner n refurbished not long ago, so rooms look like new and most of them very spacious. Recommend to stay here. Food variety not many maybe is the only point to improve.

We stayed here as part of a 3 day tour of Taman Negara and were happy. The room was large and clean, had hot water, a room safe, a lovely refreshing swimming pool, lots of cupboards, a small fridge, and a decent bed and okay AC. The only thing missing was wifi which was only available in lobby. Breakfast was... More

We stayed here on a package tour visiting tamen negara national park. It is situated on the top of a hill, about a 15min walk from the river. The room was clean and had aircon. We were the only guests the first morning, so a special cooked breakfast. The next day also had local buffet dishes available.

We booked the standard room at this resort. Considering the other options in Kuala Tahan this is a good resort to stay in considering that the room was clean and you get hot water for bath. The AC was also in good condition. We dint try the food there except for breakfast which was basic and sufficient. We had our... More
