I have just stayed 2nights at this hotel, we found the staff not very welcoming the food was average, on our second night we waited over an hour between our starter and main course which they completely forgot, the toilet was separate. from the bathroom , the toilet had no hand washing facilety so was not a good thing .but... To begin with the bad news, for Americans--no AC. But on a mild early Autumn night the supplied table fine was perfectly adequate. And then there's the bell that tolls charmingly at 7:00 AM, a possible drawback if you want to sleep. But everything else was superb. Spectacular location on the river facing the cliffs, encourages long evening over a... More

We stayed one night and ate there. The place is very nice, clam and relaxing. The restaurant was great and the prices very low compared to the quality. I think they just miss the attention to details to deserve 5 stars. For example in our rooms we had three lamps: one was not working, another one had no lightbulb. We... More

We stayed only one night at les falaises. Rooms were on the small side but clean and wonderful views across the Lot river to the cliffs. We were able to enjoy the pool and a very good 17€ three-course dinner. Staff was very personable.

We went there as a family. We had two bedrooms for 4. It was clean but the walls were very thin and we could hear whatever our neighbours were doing. One of the bedroom's door could not be locked, the phone was not working and we had to wait for 10' to get some hot water. The bells rings at... More

Good location to relax after seeing Pech Merle and walking. The view of the cliffs from the garden is very soothing. easy access to chemin de halage . Pleasant staff. most speak very little English. Veronique speaks well and is an angel. Good restaurant on site. My only complaint was the bathroom in our room (107) was awkward. other rooms... More

Arrived at about 5 pm after travelling 200 miles, pleasantly surprised to find this hidden treasure quietly situated on the Lot river, with its own outdoor swimming pool which we used on arrival. Smallish rooms but clean and comfy, good value, with free wifi. Evening meal in the restaurant, was good with a choice selection of menus and wines, helpful... More

The title says it all. My friend and I were visiting the wonderful cave of Pech Merle and this hotel is the ideal place to stay. The hosts have only been running the business for a few months but they are really making an effort ; they were charm personified. I fully intend to return with my wife at the... More

Restaurant refurbished and rooms being done now. Had dinner there last weekend: perfect ham and melon, great cassoulet (huge portion) and a really good creme brulee. Heaps better than last year before it was sold. And the room rates have been reduced. It's so pretty in Bouzies. The hotel had recently hosted a vintage car weekend (72 guests) and they... More

It is by pure luck that we booked a room in this pleasant hotel on the river Lot. The service was great. The owner/staff attentif yet not overwelming. The hotel has a pool which we did not use (early April visit) perhaps next time. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. We had a room for 4. One nice... More
