My husband and I spent two nights at the Plum Point Motel on a 10 day tour of Newfoundland. Because we were some 48 people on a bus, there weren't too many options available that could accommodate all of us; so Plum Point it was. I'm sorry to say it was a memorable experience but for the wrong reasons. Although...

We stopped at this hotel after getting off of the ferry late in the evening. It was poring rain so we decided to stay in a hotel instead of camping. I will say that the camping in this area is spectacular so I would normally chose to camp instead of staying in an average Motel. In this motel the staff...

I've been back and forth on the island of Newfoundland for years, and stayed in various places near the ferry crossing to Labrador. I have no idea why last night was my first stay! Clean comfortable rooms, very nice comfy beds. The service in the restaurant was excellent, and, even though my steak arrived somewhat overdone at dinner, it was...

We have stayed in enough places in rural areas to know not to expect 'The Ritz' but this place surprised us. Although an ordinary motel, the rooms were clean and the staff friendly and professional. The buffet breakfast was varied and catered to most tastes.

Of course we didn't go to the restaurant to eat seals, but the food was good and service was OK. The place invites to start talking to other people, and keep an eye on the water to spot whatever might come showing, porpois, dolphin or seal. We had good meal, at a very reasonable price. Oh, we stayed in another...

We were headed for the ferry to Labrador and needed a place to stay overnight. We didn't expect much but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. There is also a convenience store at the Irving Gas Station just across the street that sells...

It may not be a fancy new hotel ,motel, but let me tell you ,those new places could learn a lot from the staff at plum point, too say they go the extra mile to make you happy is a big understatement .That goes for all the staff we encountered.

This place was filled up to the max, but it seemed like a place that wouldn't be filled any time soon. So others also must use this place as a basecamp. I overheard the hotel turning some travelers back. You can make day trips to Labrador, St Anthony, Gros Morne Park, the Arches or other sites worth visiting, from this...

We ended up staying here because another motel (Sea Echo) canceled our reservation. We were pretty pleased with this little motel on the side of the road. The room was acceptable, but dated, and the restaurant was open, inexpensive, and fairly decent. Overall, this was a fairly priced stop in an area with little other options.

We stayed for two nights while on tour. The motel is only 20 km from the Labrador ferry and north of Grose Morne, close to the highway. Rooms are clean, quiet with comfortable beds, sink separate from the bathroom, lots of hot water, flat screen TV with a decent number of channels. There is a boardwalk behind the hotel for...
