At the finca Mei Tai, we can accomodate up to 3 parties, no more. That is because we want to guarantee the best attention to our guests. We want people to leave happier than when they arrived. Therefore, we insist upon the personalized check in, we cook our bread every day and we serve fresh juices with fruits from the garden. Our guests can freely hike the trails to lead them thru the orchards, around the pounds, in the cocobean fields or even in the primary forest. After all, the finca Mei Tai is one of the rare places around Bijagua where primary forest still exists.

We really loved our stay at Finca Mei Tai. The room was wonderful and the hosts superb. We were there during a period of a lot of rain, but they had great suggestions for things to do without getting soaked. The breakfasts were outstanding and they directed us tasty restaurants in Bijagua. I would very much recommend staying there if you are in that area.

My wife and I recently stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and we absolutely loved our time at Finca Mei Tai! Eric and Cecile are really awesome people to get to know and have done a great job with this B&B. Driving up we weren't sure if we were headed to the right place, but Google Maps got us to the right place and it far exceeded our expectations! Fresh homemade bread every morning with breakfast, great advice on things to see/do in the region, and an awesome little food delivery app that Eric developed! All of it added up to a great stay and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

We arrived to Cecile's warm welcome on this stunning property! Beautiful heliconias & fruit trees surrounded the pathways, & the sounds of toucans and parrots echoed off the mountainous backdrop. Our cabin was spacious and accommodated our family of 5 easily. We cooked dinner both nights in the outdoor kitchen, & the bountiful breakfast provided by Cecile and Eric was delicious....fresh juice, homemade bread with jams, eggs, coffee....cold cuts/cheese. The hiking trail is worth checking out on the property as you will have beautiful views and will see birds, hear howlers, & get a great perspective of this property. Cecil gave us great ideas for exploring the area around Bijagua. It is only 20-25 min from the Rio Celeste area. There are many local areas to visit, so I suggest at least 2 nights. We could have stayed 3 and found many activities/nature. The town had a market & ATM (only colones) & gas station. So, you have everything you may need very close by. This is not a touristy area, so you should brush up on your Spanish if you plan on visiting anything other than the National Parks.

The best place I’ve stayed in Costa Rica ! From the very friendly and warm welcome to the delicious breakfast (with homemade bread, jam an fresh juice !) and the cosy room, everything was perfect ! The finca is beautiful, plenty of birds around (we even had toucans around during the breakfast on the terrace). The room was very clean and well decorated, special mention to the super cozy nest to relax with music and the nice view ! I would definitely come back here and strongly recommend this place ! Eric and Cécile have lots of tips to share too and are always ready to help, give a call and make yourself at home !

Perfect place to stay. We were only there one night but it was awesome. Really unique lodgings. The grounds are epic as are the hosts. Easily the best breakfast we had the whole time in Costa Rica. I would recommend it.

We stayed here for a night and were wonderfully welcomed by Cecile. It's a beautiful place set against back drop of primary rainforest. In the morning we were treated to a delicious platter of tropical fruit and freshly baked sourdough bread. Cecile is very knowledge about the local plants and area and full of great stories of adventures. Can't recommend enough!

We stayed for two nights as a family of five (children aged 18,16 & 13). This place is truly beautiful and the hosts Eric & Cecile are lovely people who gave us great advice on what to do and where to eat. They also arranged an afternoon tubing on the Rio Celeste which was amazing! The Finca is stunning with a great walk around the ridge with stunning views and lots of wildlife (howler monkeys were ace!) Highly recommend you stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

We only stayed for one night but could have stayed more. Eric and Cecile are great hosts who care for their guests as much as their lodge and garden and chalets. Breakfast was delicious with homemade bread and jams. We were in the family chalet overlooking the pond equipped with a kitchen so we could enjoy the view from the deck while having dinner.

Unfortunately we only spent one night at this exquisite and exclusive bed and breakfast run by Cecile and Eric, the two Belgian owners of this typical finca. We were touched by the time taken by Eric to show us around and by Cecile to give us the story of this unique family who found their new home so far away from mother Europe. The room is chiefly decorated by local woods and the comfort is largely over passing tout regular lodge in the region. Food for breakfast was something to remember and they raise the bar so high that we fear for the quality of the rest of our trip in the beautiful Tico state. Merci Cécile and Eric!
