Pippa & Donald are great hosts! They answered all of our questions about hiking the Tenorio waterfall/volcano area & how to get there. Lodging was as described & the breakfast was delcious. This was my families first stop upon arriving in CR. Only regret is that we didn't stay an additional night to explore the beautiful grounds they have.

The casitas were amazing! Extremely clean, comfortable, and the hosts Pipa and her husband were amazing. The surrounding area was very walkable and not far from food/groceries. The water was clean, the balcony gorgeous, and the beds were very comfortable. They even made us vegan pancakes that were out of this world! A gorgeous and happy stay was had by... More

Beautiful rooms in the middle of the forest! At least 'casita mariposa'; clean, well decorated but simple, with glass door to a small porch to see and hear nature. Breakfast was delicious; owners are sweet and friendly. We were very happy being there, would go again! Lots of things to take pictures. You can milk a cow too!

Our family including two teenagers stayed in casita number 4. It was beautiful! We loved our porch and our views from the bedrooms. Within minutes of arriving a troop of howler monkeys climbed past our porch. The grounds are beautiful and we saw two sloths on a short trail located on the property. The breakfast was delicious and fresh and... More

Pip and Donald are the most wonderful hosts! The property is incredibly beautiful and the breakfast each morning was some of the best food we ate. Bijagua was a fantastic place to experience costa rica; friendliest, most welcoming people! We would love to return!

Casitas Tenorio is a bit off the beaten path, but that makes it all the more special experience. Nowhere else in Costa Rica did we see the variety of birds and plant life that they have right outside the cottage! The room itself has a beautiful view of the volcano, though admittedly it's sometimes obscured by clouds. The furniture was... More

We stayed at the Casitas Tenorio in March, just before Easter. Our stay was perfect and the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. We stayed at least a night in both the new Casitas and they were wonderful, clean and secluded. Pip and Donald helped us with suggestions for day trips and local dining spots and the entire staff... My second time visiting Casitas Tenorio. It's gotten even better. You'll be surrounded by nature on a beautiful farm with neighboring jungles. Breakfast is terrific! Pip is fantastic! And it's such a gift to be able to spend the day sitting outside on the porch of your peaceful casita or walking the grounds amidst the animals or even taking a... More

My husband and I unfortunately didn't get to stay at this charming B&B but we did get to hike their beautiful hiking trails. We saw two sloths, spider monkeys, a howler monkey, a bunch of toucans and other birds, cows from their farm and other amazing creatures. The owner, Pip, was so sweet and accommodating and gave us so much... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Casita El Bosque with our two daughters. The first afternoon we were greeted by a two fingered sloth and howler monkeys and saw them every day. We even had a great view of the monkeys with their babies just outside our casita as we enjoyed our morning coffee. Beautiful property to meander through and... More
