...is an experience like no other. My wife and I arrived there after spending the morning at Volcan Tenorio. It was around 1 pm. I was starving so we went straight to the person in charge of the lodge and order two Casados with meat (one beef and one pork). Food was excellent. After that, we paid $17 each to... More

I did not stay at the hotel but spend an enjoyable day there looking at their grounds. We had lunch in the restaurant and WOW. It was INCREDIBLE. Totally fresh, glorious food you might get at an organic spa. The vegetarian plate (I asked for this, it is not on the menu) has beans, rice, sqash saute, hearts of palm... More

We did not stay at the lodge but we hiked their fabulous hanging bridges trail. What an amazing find! It was pouring rain but that didn't stop us from seeing a sloth in the beautiful rainforest. We felt like we were in the true Costa Rica! We only saw one other group of people on our hike (some American students... More

We didn't stay in the lodge but the view from there is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. We took the loop with the 3 hanging bridges. The view from the hanging bridges is incredible and is worth the 1h 45 min drive one way that we did to get to the lodge. We've seen other hanging bridges including the... More

Like other reviewers, we didn't stay at the lodge, but only came to do the hiking on the Hanging Bridges Trail. This is a wonderful nature walk that is relatively easy on very well-maintained natural trails (about 1.5 hours if you go at a relaxed pace and really . You will cross 3 very long and very high hanging bridges... More

The Waze the hotel provides is wrong, it made us drive an additional 20 miles to a dangerous location, the first night they gave us the wrong room (A cheaper one), it was full of bugs and had a nest of giant wasps in the balcony, the restaurant doesn't have trained staff, no one was on the front desk after... Tucked into the mountains, this nature walk (45-60min) was built and maintained by a local environmental group. It is an easy walk with 3 handing bridged include one that is a double span with a great tree in the middle linking the bridges. There is an option for an excursion with more difficult hiking and this requires a guide. The... More

We did not stay at the lodge, so I wish Trip Advisor would separate the Lodge itself from the Hanging Bridges attraction. I don't know anything about the lodge. The Heliconias Hanging Bridges trail was a relatively easy hiking adventure in the Costa Rican rainforest. Very easy to find, just one turn in the heart of Bijagua and about 10... More

Did not stay only ate after a guided tour, but the plate was certainly memorable and so was the hot sauce! Have some of the Guanabana drink it's good for you! The restroom facilities were clean but tiny so be careful not to hit your head on anything. Amazing views of the mountainside!

The place is awesome. The trails and hanging bridges allow to you watch and admire an impressive forest. However... there is a little thing... and it is the change rate of dollar. If you pay in dollars... be prepared... because they use a high rate even more than the official change published by Banco Central of Costa Rica. That was... More
