don't be misled, Brit has nothing to do with being British! The place is reasonably priced but the 2 men running it are disagreeable and warning for families - that dog bites - not acceptable for my 3 and 5 year old grandchildren, and I am a dog lover and owner and don't sit on the settees unless you want...

Couldn't quite make out this place! On the edge of the lovely village of Besse, this strangely decorated - lots of ornaments and plants - hotel is trying to be something but I'm not sure what. It tries to be user friendly with a games room and a children's room, but then you go to the Bar and there's no-one...

This is NOT a 3 star hotel. Rooms need refurbishing - doors don't lock, no smoke alarms, no bedside lights, dirty carpet, no air-con, but bathroom is okay though rather a tight squeeze. Food is peasant style - chicken gizzards, perch with apple, celery and onion - yuk, no vegetables as such, no fresh fruit though we did have a...

Stayed at the this hotel from 5th May until the 9th May - room was small but adequate and bathroom basic but clean - lovely small balcony from which to look over the cows coming into the pasture. Loved staying here - NOT top hotel and I'm not sure 3 stars were what I would call 3 stars - however...

3 stars for such a hotel is just unjustified. It's sad, without any lift, very bad bed, old decorated. Price I mentioned is without breakfast , you have just to add 10 € by person if you want it. And if you want to go to the spa, you'll add money too. Forget this address immediately !!!!

Rooms small (as are most in Europe unless you are paying $500 a night) but clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water. They do a nice buffet breakfast. Dinner......I was shocked! Really good. I had the best cooked salmon I have had in years. As this region is noted for it's cheese, it is included in a lot of dishes....

This hotel is situated minutes walk away from the centre of the charming village of Besse et St. Anastaise, in the Auvergne region of France. Our Legers coach party used it as a base for 4 nights whilst exploring the region. My friend and I had a twin bedroom, with a tiny balcony overlooking the rear garden and car park....

This hotel is in the heart of the beautiful Auvergne area, which is very French with relatively few English visitors, so brush up a little before you go. The hotel is quirky and old-fashioned, but comfortable and M. le Patron, who appears to speak very little English, was cheerful and good-humoured at all times. The food was homely and tasty,...

What a pity we stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it just wasn't up to scratch. Our twin-bedded room was small, but clean, A very tired hotel. One good area was the food. We really enjoyed it but the continental breakfast was in a small area so very difficult with queues the first few days. The evening meal...

very uninviting. Room was cramped with 60/70s decor, carpet on walls and dark brown, single glazed per pillow, no shower curtain, no heating, pillows old and flat and smelly, 1 pillow caseper pillow - a dirty grey, sheets cotton and very rough. Dinner was salad ( few bits of cold bacon and chopped cheese on lettuce and tomatoes followed by...
