Just returned from a most enjoyable stay at The Oasis Hotel Perama. The hotel was one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in and the staff were all delightful. We had room 312 which had the most fantastic view over Mouse Island. The maid who looked after our room was excellent with regular sheets and towel changes. I think the staff should be commended for their excellent customer service and good humour when dealing with some very rude guests, I am not sure I would have been so polite! Dwra at the Pool Bar was so friendly and helpful especially when we were trying to speak Greek! Special mention must also be given to the dining room staff who were always cheerful and smiley even though they were clearly very busy. As regards COVID precautions these were evident with hand sanitiser stations everywhere. Given this hotel is three stars, the food choices were excellent with something for everyone. All in all a lovely stay and we would not hesitate to return. Thank you.

Our whole stay was so lovely, the staff are absolutely amazing. So kind and can’t do enough for you. The reviews on here about staff being moody etc are rubbish, yes staff are busy but that‘a because of the restrictions with Covid. They are so hardworking!! They even offered us a free room while we waited for our flight. The breakfast is really nice, they do really try to change the hot food up every day which I thought was good! Lots of choice, you are bound to find something. The hotel is extremely clean, it’s a 3 star hotel so we weren’t expecting anything too fancy to be honest but was so lovely. The views are spectacular, you can walk down to their private beach in minutes. There are lots of steps, so if you aren’t able to perhaps stick to the pool. The pool is lovely too! If you are looking for lunch or dinner there are three restaurants about a 10-15 min walk away, you turn right once out of the hotel. Otherwise you can catch a bus into Benitses (5/10 mins away) or into Corfu town (20ish mins away). Overall, the hotel is an absolute gem! We could easily do a long weekend here next year as the airport is so close and you can get about so easily!! Thank you so much Oasis. :)

When we booked the hotel in July, I was so excited as the pictures looked absolutely amazing with a great view. Couldn't wait to enjoy sunbathing at the sandy beach with cocktails from the beach bar but where do I start... There was no sand beach as described when we booked the hotel. The promised beach bar was old battered and not in a useable condition. To get a drink we had to walk all the way up to the bar by the pool which was very hard work as the steps were really steep. Not great for someone with a disability or someone who struggles with leg pains etc. Steps were so big you would most likely need to carry your children unless you allow them to take their time. Might take a while :D I am a runner and even I struggled. I have added some pictures of the platform from ground going into the water. It was absolutely dreadful and dangerous. It was very rusty and breaking apart. Not safe for the children. Had to pay for towels. Not just pay but also leave a deposit. The room I was staying in, I think it must be 57 if I remember correctly but the balcony glass had been smashed and it was all mouldy. Also not safe for people. The air conditioner was always leaking and had water dropping from it. It would also make some weird loud noises every now and then. My Bed frame was glued together with hot glue. Who ever did that did an awful job. I have added some pictures of that also. Shower... God I hated taking showers there!! They had an average size stand up shower which is okay. However the shower curtain was placed right in the middle of it so whenever you showered it would stick to your body which was very annoying because you have to hold the shower head whilst showering as there was nowhere to place it. You had maybe 10cm of space to move around and wash yourself without the curtain sticking on your body. We did not want to shower with the shower curtain open because the water was getting everywhere and even thought the place was not the greatest, we did try to respect it and not make it even worse than it already was. In the pictures when we booked it, they had some lovely swing chairs but they were all removed. didn't see them either. In description they had advised that they organise some things to do for the evenings but in the whole 8 nights we stayed, there was absolutely nothing to do at the hotel. Food was pretty awful. We had breakfast included and every morning we went down to eat, they had flies and wasps eating the food. They did nothing about it. They had closable trays where the food was placed and could have easily closed them but they left them open even after watching me take a picture of the wasps eating the ham in one of the trays which I have inserted below also. Beans on toast was the safest option but even the beans would sometimes be dry almost like they had left them out from the day before. Due to Covid they had staff putting the food on plates for us and all we had to do was tell them what we wished to have. A lady was there who would roll her eyes, huff and puff at us for three day's in a row, every time we asked her for something. To top it up, she would moan and speak to us in Greek under her breath. I was so uncomfortable to order breakfast that I would get my partner to do it for me. She was very unfriendly and rude. In the fourth morning, we headed down to get breakfast and I overheard her have an argument with another woman who was staying in the hotel. That was the last straw, I complained about her and as a way of apology they had offered us free dinner for the remaining of the time that we stay there. It was nice of them to do that even thought when you have dinner there they give you a free beer or glass of wine which we was not allowed to have. :D Not all staff were grumpy and unfriendly. There was a receptionist lady who was so helpful and would do things without even you having to ask. The bar tender girl was also polite and smiley. Location was excellent but would recommend getting a car or moped as taxis would cost £20.00 to town ( one way) View from the hotel was very nice. There was some sewage smell every now and then but was not a big issue. The planes coming and going very beautiful to watch. They didn't go too early or too late. which was also nice.

Dear G3870IBlaurad, we are very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay but also wondering if you stayed here or in another hotel because unfortunately it looks like it was you who didn’t do a research before booking. For example, why don't you tell where did you read about sandy beach, beach bar with cocktails and theme nights? Certainly not on our website because on our website we have a COVID 19 section that says there will be no theme nights in 2020 and no beach bar will be open. So simple and only because of the COVID 19 health protocols defined by the Greek government. Our website only has 2 professional pictures, some of the other pictures are even taken with mobile phones. Is this so misleading? Furthermore, the way we serve breakfast and dinner in 2020 is again because of the COVID 19 health protocols we follow and we are certified. Unfortunately, there can be queue sometimes but it is for your safety as guests are not allowed to have access to food at buffets in Greece in 2020. We don’t like it but we are forced to do it like that. As for the taste and quality of our food we let hundreds of other reviews speak. We will inspect your room even now that is late and we’ll fix any problems but you could have easily asked for repair or room change and you would have been more happy now. We were very surprised by your comment regarding our staff's unfriendly attitude, actually we were shocked because everybody is happy with our staff, so shocked we indeed offered you free dinner that you happily accepted as by that time the staff was the only problem you had. The free beer or wine is offered with dinner to guests booking on half board basis only through booking.com, expedia, webhotelier on our website and edreams. We asked all our staff about you before answering and the helpful receptionist says you visited a hotel in Messonghi during your stay and it looks like it was the one you wanted to book but for some reason you booked here, maybe this explains why you had very wrong information. We are very sorry once again for not meeting your expectations but please, from your side, even now check again the information you had before booking, we ensure you it was not provided by us…

I love this hotel for several reasons! It's a very short drive from the airport, you can get from the luggage carousel to your balcony in 20 minutes and for 25 Euro. The views over the bay are spectacular. The sea, Albania, Mouse Island, and the sunrises are just awesome. Bus stops to all over the island right outside the hotel. Many lovely local attractions within walking distance. Mon Repos, Achilleon Palace, The Durrell's home, Benitses, Kaiser Bridge and a tiny tiny chapel hidden below the road right at the sea. The staff, who are so amazingly friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. It's also incredibly good value. I'll be back!

This was a late decision during a COVID crisis to meet up with family , as England had become to enmeshed in the pandemic. So off we flew into the clouds and landed on a gem of a hotel , perfectly suited to our needs .My youngest came with us , a gap year for her and we planned to meet my eldest daughter in the sweet Ionian island of Corfu . Bristling with green and heat the Oasis location is ideal . First stop off the coach from Corfu town and down some steps into our private haven. Staff welcomed us in a caring and friendly manner , all masked and with hygiene in mind . They even laid on a late supper for my daughter and boyfriend who were to arrive later , leaving them a meal in the room due to their late landing . We were greeted by amazing balcony views and a dining room when fresh air and perfect mountains frame the scenic and warming sea. There is a beautiful private beach which is lost in time , evoking pleasing memories of the Durrell legacy here . Rooms are equipped and serviced cleanly , food is plentiful and varied with many choices , never boring . Staff are very keen to assist and there is a bar by the warm pool for snacks between half board mealtimes. Oasis is not in the center of everything but that’s why it works so well . It gives you the chance to get away from the bustle while feeling immersed in the countryside and right on the coast . Car hire is easy and affordable. We took trips to see the island which is easily accomplished due to its 64x46 kms area ! You will be at risk of returning due to the allure of this island it’s easy to see why it’s chosen time and again . I cannot fault the hotel in any way .... other than the white wine from the bar ,not recommended. There is a shop across the road that you can source other wines or venture into Corfu town and Benitses for €1:80 each way . Take a minute to look at the photos and see you soon .
