This hotel is a fantastic oasis to relax and replenish in Corfu. A short, 10-minute drive from the airport means that it's conveniently located for air travelers. A 15-minute drive will bring you into Corfu Old Town. While not in the center of town, I actually preferred this location because it was more peaceful and secluded, and it was easy enough to catch a taxi or bus if we needed to go somewhere. The hotel benefits from a rooftop pool, but the private beach with sun loungers is best part. However, what really makes this hotel great is its staff, who are warm, friendly, welcoming, and happy to give fantastic local recommendations. The bartender is particularly great - not just his drinks, but the way he kindly looked after everyone. The hotel is getting an upgrade soon, but while basic, you'll have what you need to relax. The bar & restaurant attached mean that you truly have everything you need to relax and let the stress melt away in the sun.

I stayed in hotel pontikonisi for one week with my friend. For starters the location of this hotel it perfect! A 10 minute drive from Corfu airport and about 15 mins from Corfu town. The hotel is also surrounded by many amazing restaurants and beautiful views. The hotel is very clean with a pool with a view of the picturesque island. The private beach is a very nice touch, you can enjoy the benefits of the sea and a beach without sand or stones! The food and drink was delicious and very good value for money! The rooms are nicely air condition and you can experience a beautiful sun rise from your own private balcony every morning. What really made this hotel stand out more thank anything is the hospitality! The staff and management here really are amazing and made us feel special from the moment we checked in. They were all so friendly especially Andreas and always made sure we were comfortable and happy. Hospitality like this really does go a long way! Overall we had an unforgettable stay and will definitely be back again soon! We cannot thank the management and staff enough!

Pontikonisi is a real cozy hotel with a phenomenous view over the ocean. If you like you can jump into it directly from their own bathing place. Next to the upper terrace there is a pool and you can enjoy the self-roasted and delicious coffee straight from the bar. The hotel isn't far away from the airport and the main capital Kerkyra (circa 10 mins by car). The team is friendly and sympathetic. They helped us to rent a car and gave us some special tipps for the island. We had a wonderful stay in corfu and we definitely recommend Pontikonisi to other tourists.

Nightmare staying. The services were terrible: we stayed 4 days with a strong sewer smell in the room, fortunately the last two days they Changed our room. The light in the room broke in the second day and the fridge Made a very annoying noise. The staff was very unpleasent, rude and unavailable except for the guy Who stays at night, a guy Who speaks italian and the guy in charge of parking. The parking is really small so the cars are parked one beyond the other and even if you give them car keys they don’t care to bother you in the morning waking you up for moving the car. The last day we weren’t able to use the private beach because there was a duck under the umbrella. Terrible hotel and terrible staying.

It’s terrible. Starting with a fact that when we arrived they changed our room for penthouse. It wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the smell. The two room stinks so bad that we need to close them permamently and use only one bathroom. The hotel “beach” also stinks so much that sometimes we couldn’t stand it and need to get back to the hotel. Later we found out that it was because the sewage was pour out there. BUT the worst thing was when the air conditioning broke. The oil has leaked from it and it stain my mother’s clothes! We need to beg stuff at the hotel to wash them or to give as a refund. They acted so unprofessionally, when they gave us the “washed” clothes they fold them in a way that we don’t see that they’re still dirty!! WE needed to propose a solution because they acted like children not knowing what to do. Finally, receptionist after talking to the manager (ridiculous- the manager didn’t even bother to say anything to us personally) offered us 30€ (!!!!). We agreed because we were really tired of this situation which lasts almost 3 days(!!) and we were leaving that day. I would never recommend this hotel, the worst I have ever been hosted in.

Response from HOTEL DIRECTOR, Ιδιοκτήτης at Pontikonisi Hotel & Suites
Responded Jun 6, 2021
Dear guest, Please dont mislead our future visitors. We confirm that an unfortune incident took place with the ac but it was something beyond us. You must inform our future guests that you had benn upgraded to the Superior Suite of the Hotel when you had only paid for a standard apartment and not only that you had been fully compensated for your clothes and we had cleaned them also ! Please check the comments pf our guests and you will find that we are not the worst hotel but probably you are the worst clients we had ever had in our long professional history in hospitality. Kind regards

We were not staying here but you are allowed to come and use the pool as a non resident. The bar man made this place, Alexandrei.

The lunch-time food menu is limited but what they do produce is very tasty and, amazingly, amongst the cheapest food we had on Corfu.

The pool is not large but big enough. The sea is at the rear of the hotel and the views to Mouse Island are amazing.

You could not stay anywhere closer to Mouse Island. In fact, you can easily swim to the island from the small, private waterfront at the foot of the hotel. It is also very close to the airport runway if you like watching planes taking off and landing close up. The noise wasn't too bad. The staff were very welcoming and friendly but it was hard to rate as we visited in the final week of October before it closed, so the pool and restaurant were not open and we actually stayed across the busy road in Mouse Apartments. The room was big and clean and had a nice balcony, but not many facilities (like a kettle) for self catering. Because of Covid, breakfast was served from the buffet rather than helping yourself. The selection was fine and the view from the breakfast room was amazing. Perhaps due to the time of year, the garden area by the sea was overgrown and badly kept and the bar closed at 7pm.

Needless to say, the first thing you ll admire while you are checking - in at the reception, will be the lovely view from the balcony. Endless blue sea and the Pontikonisi.
Then, the rooms were spacious enough, clean and most importantly, well equipped with aircondition and humidifier.
To our surprise, as it is an affordable hotel and we werent expecting much, the breakfast was very rich. From cereals, cakes, croissants, local pastries and yoghurt to omelette, sandwiches, cold cuts, cheeses and many more, which varied each day.
We also enjoyed our afternoon meals and coctails at the rooftop bar reasturant while watching the amazing view.
Meals and coctails , compared to restaurants we tried at the corfu center, were tastier and more affordable.
Finally, i could not forget to mention the friendly staff. From the reception to the catering and room service, all of them have been very friendly and helpfull and made our visit much more enjoyable.
I would definitely reccomend staying at Pontikonisi hotel and cant wait for another stay, at our next holidays in Corfu.

As bad as this place is, it should close!!!

It's all a disaster, starting from the rooms (not even similar to those shown in the photos), dirty, and with an incessant smell of mold, not to mention the bathroom, always flooded, and so small that two can't fit in, furthermore the shower has a curtain that smells like hell and is full of stains, and you can't even remove it!! The towels were then changed and replaced with stained ones.

The breakfast was a disaster, very dirty plates and glasses, undrinkable coffee, milk almost always used up (and never replaced), the sweet breakfast non-existent, and what there was was truly inedible, not to mention the heat in the room, we couldn't help ourselves stay for more than five minutes.

The very dirty and unmaintained swimming pool, the sunbeds full of stains, my boyfriend developed irritations on his skin due to the dirt, which required a complaint (see photo)! Let's forget about the private beach...

Instead the bar/restaurant works with annoyed waiters and without the slightest desire to work, the blonde waitress was very rude, we asked for two beers for lunch, she brought them to us hot, and when we kindly asked her to replace them, she told us that unfortunately they had problems with the fridge. We returned the beers, because hot beer is undrinkable, and he made us pay for them anyway, refusing to give us an explanation and leaving. A vegetarian lady had asked to replace the meat with vegetables in a dish, but despite this the waitress brought it to her with the meat, saying that the dish was made like this, and even started arguing! We were left speechless.

I highly recommend you sleep on the street rather than in this place. If you want to ruin your holiday, book at the Pontikonisi Hotel.
