We wanted to travel to southwest England and stay in organic inns. We discovered Cranham House in North Devon and were at first shocked when we discovered it was, to our imagination, in the middle of absolutely nowhere. It seemed like it took forever to find it. But we did find it and after a day, it was like the...

We've just spent a truly enjoyable four days in the self catering cottage attached to Cranham House. Cranham House is located in North Devon and is a perfect base for exploring the stunning South West Coastal Path. The cottage is a haven for those who want the opportunity to relax while being surrounded by wonderful views of north Devon pastoral...

This is a b&b for those who love peace and quiet, stunning views, extreme comfort, superb food and miles and miles of wonderful walking. The track to the house is narrow and a bit bumpy in places but take your time and you'll arrive in the right frame of mind to enjoy the special character of this b&b. Cups of...

This quality B&B is a little way from the main road, but well worth the diversion and indeed that is part of its attraction. Reached by following Alan and Jennifer's detailed instructions, you find yourself nestled in solitude and made to feel immediately at home with cups of tea and cake. Beautiful rooms with lovely views and big bathrooms with...

My partner and I stayed for 4 night in this peaceful place in Devon. A beautiful location, very quite with superb views and away from the rest of the world. We stayed in a very comfortable room with 2 sitting rooms downstairs and a light and airy breakfast/dining room area. The hosts, Jennifer and Alan are really friendly and make...

We chose one of the worst weather days of the year to get away, the roads and narrowing lanes ran like rivers but the directions provided were spot on and we found the" pot of gold" Cranham House with ease. Jennifer gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our lovely room, with a view over the valley, followed...

We were a party of four Italian ladies visiting Cornwall and Devon by car. At the time of booking we didn't know how was really this accomodation: the very kind owners should be very proud of their home. We found Cranham House the loveliest, the highlight of our trip. We all love very much remote places and this beautiful home...

We spent a lovely two nights at the B&B in July 2011, arriving at 1am straight from our wedding reception. Alan was there to meet us with a cheery smile, and that set the mood for our entire stay. Breakfasts were delicious -- superbly prepared by the lovely Jennifer. Certainly a nicer couple you unlikely to meet! This B&B is...

Alan and Jennifer were so welcoming, and as first time B&B'ers we were made to feel at ease instantly. The whole house is artistically decorated, with locally sourced furniture and artworks throughout. Our room had a sea view, was very comfortable and clean, which after a scamper in the country side was just what we needed. The beach was about...

Cranham House is an old stone farmhouse, located in a wooded valley within a short walk of the beach at Welcombe Mouth. The decor is homely and stylish, with a cosy sitting room for guests. From our well appointed en-suite double room, we had amazing views of the sea. The wonderful owners Alan and Jennifer always made sure everything was...

“We stayed in the main house. Just two rooms, maybe three. All fab.”

“There is a room with a sea view, and this has both shower cubicle and bath, so it's probably the best one. However our room had lovely views and we didn't mind at all not having a shower (there is a shower head over the bath but because the bath is in the middle of the room you can't stand up for a shower).”
