Quiet place on the beach. Ten minute moto taxi ride from town. NIce patio restaurant. Took a Sunday morning trip whale watching and swimming with the giant sea turtles. I hope to return on one of my visits back to Peru.

I was scared to go to this hotel because I called a few days before arriving about a taxi from Talara and they seemed baffled by the question. They said they did not offer taxi recommendations (which was false because they did when we were there). When we got there I was really impressed with Villa Sirena - the buildings and amenities are modern and the beach is so clean and calm. We got there around 10:30am and they told us our room would not be ready until 1pm. The hotel was not full but they refused to expedite our room. When we finally got to our room it was so hot - like it had been closed off for a long time, so I find it hard to believe they could not have our room ready before. We were put in the "new" beachfront building on the second floor which was a nice surprise. The room was big and the beachfront terrace was amazing. They had cable and AC and a nice hot shower with good water pressure. My only complaint would be that the construction is a little shoddy in the bathroom - I could hear every word from the room below which was disconcerting. In the main room it was not bad - but the floor could have been reinforced better. The food was good though pricey - appetizers and mains were s./ 35-45 and drinks were s/.20. The kitchen hours were odd with breakfast being served at 8:30am-10am and lunch starts at 1pm. In between you cannot get anything. We walked to Los Organos and had lunch for 2 with drinks for s./33. With the moto taxi fare of s./15 back to the hotel it is definitely a good option if you are looking to save money. Mancora was even cheaper with their s/.10 menu which included 2-3 courses and a drink. Overall it was a nice relaxing vacation. I would suggest they work on cleaning the beach area and the rooms. We were there for 3 nights and they only offered to clean our room the day before we left. We asked for toilet paper which never came and we had to go and request it again. The beach area was left in disarray the entire time. It was clean when we got there but we never saw them straighten out chairs or cushions- ever. There was even a glass that was left there for 2 days that we pointed out to the servers Marcia and Cynthia and they finally picked it up. We enjoyed the fact that they had cards to play though they were old and not complete. Their dart board has also seen better days. Checkout was chaotic. We were leaving the hotel at 730am and we had asked the front desk the day before about getting some coffee or bread before we left. They said probably not but they would ask. Since we never heard back we assumed it was a no. We went down at 7am to check out and the young man at the desk said that checkout was at noon. I was like I'm leaving at 7:30am and he got flustered. He made calls, got upset, and said they should have done it the day before. He also said that we should have gotten coffee. At this point I just want to leave and another gentleman shows up to finally check us out at about 720am. Very disorderly and not professional. Overall for the price it is a good find but I wish they would work on the issues outlined above to make it an excellent stay. About the beach - it was only impossibly windy on one day. The other days one was moderate wind and the other no wind. Water is amazing temperature and the waves are not rough. It is very sandy.

This is an excellent place for us from the beginning to the end. Peter welcome us, carried our luggage, check us in and showed our room  We were looking for a nice and quiet place to stay and this one is great The environment is very nice and very clean, you can see the friendly people the works there were cleaning all the time and concerned about everything so that we can be comfortable Nice and clean pool, rooms, dining tables, I can even see them cleaning the beach (no dirt on sand at all) My wife and I want to thank the Manager and his crew specially Marcia and Peter were very kind all the time and help us on everything including special request, along with them were Martina and Oswaldo giving us always the best experience of the place. I don’t want to forget to mention the food was delicious Thank You Guys Carmen and Luis ;-)
