This is a quaint and physically imposing though somewhat run down hotel. Our group of 19 enjoyed the stay however the staff (mainly very good) were stretched at bar/drinks time and the bar drinks are a bit overpriced. The dinner was good but not great and the breakfast a little simple. Most odd in a wine region was the list... More

I pleased to read that you had a nice stay in our Château. You are right, we had some trouble to serve all the group efficiently as people came one by one and didn't seat at the place we expected. But we did our best to give you the best and quickest service we could in the circumstances (all the... More

We reserved the hotel several month before our arrival and when we checked in we notified that we will stay not in the castle, but in the Pavillon, which we called "horse house" as it could be rated as 1 star hotel (No air conditioning, quite smelly). We were very disappointed as we booked exactly the room in the castle. After... More

We stayed one night as part of a small group tour. Our room was over the former stables and was a bit warm without A/C. We had to leave the window open (the French don't use window screens) and the fan on to sleep. Also, there was only a bathtub with a sprayer wand and no way to use it... More

Stayed on our last evening on the Belle France Backroads tour...we all wished we could be here for longer . Rooms were in the protected part of e building above the shop and cookery school area . Extremely large with enormous bathrooms , you viewed to the main house and the gardens which were ample and provided many walking paths.... More

We loved being able to stay in this charming chateau. The tomato gardens were I also special. Stayed here three days with wife and daughter enjoying the wonderful tomato confiture for petit déjeuner. Ate most meals in the nearby villages while visiting the chateau in the Loire vallée.

One of the most beautiful castles ever. It's a living castle and this makes it unique. Especially in the flower exhibition the place is magnificent! For families with young children is a great place. Don't miss it.

Just staying in a building like this is probably worth any inconvenience. It's fabulous. Amazing that people built places like this. The interior is great as well with various antiques. It really is historic. That said, as you would expect with a very old building there are some problems. Nothing too serious but floor board might be lose and fixtures... More

This chateau hotel is a lovely place to stay. If you are lucky, you will be able to reserve a room in the chateau itself. However, the rooms in the annex are huge and comfortable. The staff and management could not have been more helpful.

We were upgraded for free to one of the castle rooms with a nice view. The gardens are impressive and the park is peaceful. Staff is accommodating and the breakfast was very good. Would very much recommend for a relaxing weekend trip.

Our fifth day in France we left Paris for the Loire Valley. Our first night was a stay at Chateau de la Bourdaisiere. What a beautiful Chateau. Our room was the third floor of the center of the building. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. All of the reservations... More
