We don’t always write a review after we have vacationed but when a place is as amazing as O2 Beach Club and Spa we wanted to share to hopefully help someone else make the great decision we did and book here. The resort is in an excellent location, only about 15 minutes from the airport. If you book directly with the resort, airport transfer is included. As soon as we finished going through customs we walked out to find our transfer waiting and we were fortunate to be picked up by Adrian who is absolutely fantastic…talk about a great start to our vacation. Highly recommend you request Adrian if you need to get around during your stay. When we arrived we were greeted by an amazing group in the lobby and within in 5 minutes we had a delicious drink in our hand and Ricco our Service Ambassador started the tour of the property. Below I have provided details about our experience. Resort - It is absolutely beautiful and has top notch amenities and restaurants. Everything is very well maintained and spotless. Guest can always find a place to lounge and relax, whether it is by one of the pools, on the beach or on the roof top or 8th floor lounge areas…excellent number of options all with amazing views. Room – We had one of the ocean front swim-up rooms and it was incredible!!! We had an amazing view, tons of privacy and it was great having the pool right outside our door. The room was very well appointed and the terrace was perfect. One last import thing to note with the room the bed was REALLY comfortable. Restaurants (food) & bars – All the restaurants are excellent each with a different atmosphere. The food is fantastic both a la carte and buffet. Oro is an elegant fine dining experience and the chef will accommodate any food restrictions with a days notice. Elements is a fantastic open air restaurant that has a great selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner and great live entertainment each evening. Bluefin is a casual place to have lunch by the pool. Brista has amazing tapas and Oasis is a great addition to grab a sandwich and a fresh pastry. The bars all have a great atmosphere and top notch drinks. O2 team members – I have saved the best for last. The team members at O2 make this a 5+ star. We have travelled to many 5 star resorts and without a doubt what sets them apart is the people who work so hard to make your stay perfect in every way and everyone does that at O2. We were a week at O2 and the day of our departure my husband unexpectedly had to stay in Barbados a couple of extra weeks waiting for a permanent resident travel document, if it wasn’t for all the support and kindness of the people at O2 this would have been a very difficult experience. Everyone is great but wanted to name a few who really went above and beyond. Wanted to thank Jaleel at the front desk, he was very patient and helpful with our requests. John at the concierge desk always checked to see if I needed anything and if I did he would make sure I would have it in no time. Always great to sit at the bar and chat with Shaquan & Renaldo, they made great drinks and were very entertaining. Nyasha in Elements always made sure everything was perfect. Georgiana (Georgie) is a superstar! She always took the time to make sure you had whatever you needed and made you feel special. Thank you all for making the O2 my home away from home! We can’t wait to come back in 2023! …
Why Plus 3 Stars: - Nice resort, beautiful rooms - Service was very good. Thanks to Sean, Georgiana, and others. Why Minus 2 Stars: - Food at the main restaurant, Elements, was very disappointing. Think low quality cafeteria food - No beach activities or water sports - Played the same music loop every day - Pool bar in new building wasn’t even open which defeated the purpose of a swim out room. Kind of felt like a bait and switch As the title states, this place has 5 star potential, but isn’t there yet. For $1k per night, the overall is experience was not commensurate with the cost. The staff worked hard and should be recognized. Entertainment was almost non-existent. I asked once about water sports and was told to go to their sister hotel which is a very long walk down the beach. Seriously, you’re an AI on the beach and don’t offer snorkeling, jet ski, surfing, etc. The nightly entertainment was pretty bare bones compared to other AI resorts in the Caribbean. They had 1-2 person bands each night but the entertainment was pretty dull. The resort felt pretty empty to me, even for the “low” season. The beach is beautiful but barely swimmable due to the rocks and heavy winds. I enjoyed my stay but would not return to O2. Despite the rooms being new and nice, I just didn’t think the value was there compared to other $1k per night hotels I’ve experienced.…
This hotel is 5 star all around. Food is top notch and service is great too. Staff is very friendly and always looking to do whatever they can to make your stay great. Rooms in the newer luxury tower are great. Beach service was a welcome surprise.
Mother's day staycation food was great from beginning to end, staffs was friendly, the view was great, breakfast was great cleanliness overall in restaurant and hotel, will definitely return with family and friends.
A beautiful hotel with best service, very very professional and friendly staff, great facilities and best location. Great food! The dreamful white beach is directly at the hotel. There is the possibility to have breakfast outside near the beach with a great view to the ocean. A place where I felt completely at ease and didn't want to leave!!!
We stayed at O2 for 3 nights and it was an amazing, luxurious all-inclusive experience. The property is new and SO beautiful! It has a great layout where you never feel too far from anything, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Many of them remembered our names and preferences, making it so easy to kick back and relax. I HIGHLY recommend having dinner at Oro and treating yourself to the Acqua Spa for a massage or hammam treatment with Natalia. I was super impressed and surprised as to the quality of drinks available too - I could drink my favourite dry rose wine 'Minuty' all day and my hubby was super happy with his Tito's and Tonic - I didn't feel like I was at an all inclusive at all, just a really cool beach club! I also had to do some work while on vacation, and the wifi worked great. Honestly I can't say enough good things about O2 and I can't wait to go back!…
Great hotel in a lovely beach-side location. All of the staff members were enthusiastic and professional. Food was great and very fresh. It was truly all inclusive which meant all food and drinks including room service and branded spirits were part of the package which we really appreciated. Brilliant espresso martinis in particular. Only slight downside was the gym is not air conditioned, but that's not the end of the world. In short: amazing hotel, highly recommend!
It’s got it all. Beautiful facility - from hotel rooms, to all the hang out areas throughout the property. The food and drinks are fantastic… and most importantly, the staff is top notch. Friendly and always at your service. Would recommend to anyone.
