First time to this hotel, nice rooms overlooking the sea, good air-con and comfy beds, small kitchen with fridge, kettle etc. The staff are all lovely and helpful. Had the continental breakfast in the restaurant a few times and it was really nice and plenty of food. Nice little beach right beside the hotel which you can access from hotel for a swim. Good location near plenty of bars and restaurants and convenience shop right across the road. Would stay here again if visiting St Lawrence Gap again.

We spent 3 nights pre-cruise at the Rostrevor and would not hesitate to stay again should we ever be lucky enough to return to Barbados. It had a pool, a small beach, a cafe for breakfast and lunch, a laundry room and each room is self contained, so if you wanted to go self catering, it's all here. Brilliant, friendly staff. To top it all off, we happened to mention how late our flight would be post cruise and they offered a hospitality room for the day (a basic room with tables and a sofa, toilets and showers). So we were able to spend a bonus day at this wonderful hotel. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for the staff, location and facilities.

Liked · The location was very good where all the night life was and plenty of restuarants on the main road. Room was comfortable a little basic but adequate it had an iron and ironing board and a decent sized TV. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. There was a pool and a small private beach. the pool and beach area were quiet we found mainly elderly guests used this hotel. This hotel has a got a lift whereas other hotels our friends stayed there was no lifts. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. View of the sea was fantastic and the balcony was very good and comfortable with a table and chairs. definitely value for money and cheap for Barbados. Disliked · The kitchen was very basic and lacked many dishes. The shower and bathroom could have been more modern and the water only got luke warm. Fridge was too small. No shampoos or Shower gels only poor soap was available. Breakfast was ok but not value for money so in the end decided to make our own. Had problems with the safe but this was resolved very quickly. It did get noisy at night with partygoers till 3am.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is in the heart of St Laurence Gap. Literally on your doorstep. The rooms were large and very clean. They aren’t luxury but they have everything you need. Our room included a small kitchen. We didn’t use it but the fridge came in handy. The sea view was spectacular. You also have access to a small beach via some stairs. When I was there the sea was a little rough. There are some great restaurants a short walk away - Harlequin was our favourite. This was the cheapest, beach front hotel in Barbados I found. If you want to be in the St Laurence Gap area this hotel is great.

Definitely a very pleasant clean hotel. It's in a noisy party neighborhood but the rooms all seem to face the beach and pool area. The cleaning staff were lovely older ladies, not too quick, but mannerly and polite. Dimitri at the front desk was organized and got us a room well before check-in time. I forget what we paid for the one night stay as I booked it a couple of months prior to our stay on Hotels.com The beach isn't great but by walking a block to the east there is a wonderful beach across from the Divi Southwinds resort. I do recommend the Rostrevor.

We stayed in a Superior Ocean front studio which was absolutely beautiful. The room is very spacious and light with a large comfortable bed. Small kitchen with everything you need, for preparing a simple breakfast or snacks . Lovely size bathroom with walk in large shower. The best part is the balcony with stunning views of the ocean. The room is kept spotlessly clean. Cleaning team are really lovely. If you leave your balcony door open at night, you can't hear any of the music from the bars, nightclub across the road, just the beautiful sound of the waves . We really enjoyed our 2 week stay BUT... There is not enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Despite polite notices in your room and A boards on the sunbathing area, people are getting up at 7 am and putting towels on sunbeds, then leaving them for hours unused. We managed to get a sunbed with umbrella twice, in our 2 week stay, purely by setting my alarm, which is absolutely ridiculous, when you are supposed to be on holiday. We would stay here again, only if this issue could be addressed by the management, as it really is a lovely hotel.

My wife and I stayed for 9 nights during January 2023 , perfect location for st Lawrence gap night life . The hotel has fantastic views of the sea and small beach and a lovely pool deck for sunbathing. The rooms are cleaned every day to a high standard by very helpful charming ladies , also on the bottom floor is a bar / restaurant which serves up great breakfast and lunches as well as strong drinks by the lovely verne and mark you don’t get to meet the cook as she is always that busy . This hotel is fantastic for all your needs in Barbados trips and having a relaxing holiday .

After spending 17 nights on the west coast we thought we'd finish off with a couple of nights down south. Weren't really sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. We'd booked an ocean front studio and that's what we got - views were amazing and the studio was equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, aircon worked fine, shaded balcony. Plenty of hot water in the shower. On the Saturday night we did get some disturbance from the bars over the road but some ear plugs made it bearable. Sunday night was fine. One possible solution to the issue of noise would be to construct a door between the bedroom and the rest of the studio. Cheap and effective to block out the noise. A lot of different sun bathing terraces with just enough sun-loungers although the mainly British guests did seem to try and hog them with their towels despite management requests not to. The bar served some nice food for lunch - different wraps, catch of the day, Banks beer etc. Were I to stay on the south coast again I'd choose The Rostrevor.

We arrived on Christmas day and were staying in room 407. What a wonderful view from the balcony. The room was spotlessly clean. We appreciated pool towels being left in the room. Our shower head was very limescaled and sprayed water everywhere, however this was quickly changed and made the shower perfect. The room was cleaned daily with bed linen changed frequently. The air con worked really well. We were really happy with our stay at the Rostrevor.

Barbados is not a cheap place. Rostrevor Hotel is one of the more affordable hotels near great restaurants, an amazing street where the action is and access to a stretch of a beautiful beach about 150 yards away. We were there one night before a cruise. What we didn't like was the air conditioning did not cool at all in our room. There is one in the living room and one in the bedroom. We tried lowering it, but it just would not cool. There is a great kitchen with appliances, dishes, refrigerator, etc. A small convenience store is about 50 yards away. Plenty of night life all down the street near the hotel in a really nice area of Barbados.
