Hotel and staff are the same as ever. It's friendly and a good, positioned place to stay. The rooms are cleaned to a good standard and the sea views are excellent. The only problem is the noise at night. This has definitely increased. It goes on until 2.30 every night and there is an increase of bass since last we stayed. No amount of closing windows, turning the A/c fan to high can stop the reverberation through the walls. Whilst it is not the hotel's fault, we have cancelled our holiday for May next year and we are going elsewhere. Sorry Rostrevor, but you are good, but not that good.
The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are perfectly fine, the cleaning service is good and the staff are lovely. We have only one gripe and it's a big one. Sunbeds are covered in towels from around 3 o clock on the morning and then abandoned until lunchtime or later. This type of behaviour is inexcusable frankly. If you get up at a normal time you have no chance whatsoever of a sunbed but can guarantee that 90% of them are empty. The hotel needs to get a grip of this. Otherwise,no complaints. Great position on the gap. Easy walk to lots of lovely places and good food. The restaurant at the hotel serves great food too. I would whole heartedly recommend this place just don't expect an easy ride with the sunbeds.
We stayed in C8 which walks right out onto the pool. The room is very basic and in need of a total refurbishment. It's small, the kitchen is less than basic and thr bathroom is tiny and needs an upgrade. We were awoken most nights in the early hours by staff working in what seems to be a store room which is behind out bathroom and kitchen. This is unacceptable in our opinion as you go on holiday to relax. The staff are great and friendly and rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels. I would stay here again but not in this room.
Exelent hotel can't fault it been here 3 days can't fault hotel or staff best apptmenents in st lawrance little beach perfect for quick swim and snorkle nice pool and staff are real friendly nice food and near bars and clubs
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. 1 room with king size bed and 1 twin room. We also had a full sized single bed in the living room area. Kitchens are fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven and hob which was very handy. There is a Masseys supermarket about a 15 minute walk away where you can stock up on all the essentials. The Gap also has a small convenience store. The beach at the hotel is very small but its fine for a quick dip in the sea. A few minutes either direction can take you to the bigger beaches at Dover and Worthing and we went to both for a change of scene. Its a perfect location for all the restaurants and bars in the Gap along with a stunning ocean view. We all loved our holiday at Rostrevor and we have already booked to go back next year.
The location was clean and quite comfortable. Great breakfast options included. Rooms equipped with all the amenities and a great view of the Ocean. Apart from the friday night music in the Gap which is not a big issue this is an overall great location. Will recommend.
We stayed at this hotel in transit to Grenada. I chose the location because I remembered it from about 20 years ago when we stayed here for a sporting tournament. The resort is extremely clean and the staff is helpful. The resort sits in St. Lawrence gap and due to the design you hear all of the outside noises in your room even with the door closed. The wind blowing against the door at night created a constant banging. The beds are extremely hard and a blanket isn't provided only a sheet for covers. There are many food options within walking distance and 2 restaurants at the hotel. We enjoyed the mixture of places to eat.
Thanks to Rostrevor Hotel for a wonderful weekend. It was my daughter's 16th birthday treat. The room was clean and cozy upon arrival. Mark in the Almond Tree restaurant was super. Our housekeeper was Sherryann was helpful with my small requests. Would I return of course I would. Thanks Rostrevor for a memorable weekend
This place was marketed as being on the beach, having a gym and being customer friendly. It was none of the above - the hotel is located next to an ocean, but there is certainly not a beachfront unless you want to perish on rocks/ cliffs. The gym had a sign in the door saying it was out of order. When we arrived, we noticed the safe in the room was locked. We called the front desk and asked for the code and they told us there was an additional charge to use the safe. The room itself was underwhelming although it was nice having a kitchen. Location was around numerous bars and restaurants but was extremely noisy up until about 4 am. The pool was decent but the pool bar was overpriced and barely staffed when it was open. Stay somewhere else. This place was terrible.
Spent Easter Weekend at this hotel. Checking was easy. Staff is quick and friendly. Had breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant, tasty and fast service except if the restaurant is busy. Room is very out dated. Nothing compare to the pictures shown. The restroom door is like a foldup closet door....no privacy, no lock on it just a hook which keep coming out. Other than that the room was clean, great water pressure. Refrigerator works and cools up fast. We were on the third floor, at night the wifi goes off and no one around to fix only the guard answers front desk after 10 at night. The rooms not sound proof so the heavy music on the street you can hear. Music closes off after 1 AM and you can hear it in your room. There is no beach to swim at this hotel. Overall all it was a great resort except for those little things. Love the staff.…
