Just to echo the above- both are fine. We took 80% usd and the rest BSD. Everyone on the island uses the same exchange rate - half the cost to pay in usd eg if a taxi is 40bsd it’s 20usd etc. This was the same in restaurants... More

Everyone on the island uses the same exchange rate - half the cost to pay in usd eg if a taxi is 40bsd it’s 20usd etc. This was the same in restaurants and street sellers/ beach vendors etc so you can’t go wrong. Have a great time ... take lots of money which ever currency though as it’s not a cheap place
